This was a great place to base as we did day trips to other areas in the Algarves. Breakfast was good each morning. There was a selection of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, cheeses & meats and an egg/omelette that could be made to order. Our room was nice and so was our terrace with the sea view. The pool was also a nice option. It's a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed. The staff was excellent and went above and beyond to offer advice and recommendations. The local restaurant recommendations that we tried far exceeded our expectations. The beach towels were a plus and they also had beach umbrellas we borrowed to take on our beach excursions.

We had a car so there was no issue with location, but it might have been quite a trek to walk to the center of town. I originally saw it takes around 25 minutes which seemed reasonable, but with the heat it might be a struggle. I saw other commenters mentioned they used Uber, though. It might also depend on the time of year.

Calm nice neighbourhood. So clean everywhere in the hotel, very nice breakfast, your choice of eggs served at the table each day, fresh fruit and smoothies, friendly service minded staff in all aspects. Our room with sea view at 3rd floor 👌🏻 Really nice poolarea and great bartender in the poolbar. Ca 5 min walk (stairs) to the beach. Close to walking trails.

Location - It is ca 2,5 km to old town - good to know. A nice walk though. Ca €4,10 one way with Uber so very affordable!

I had an amazing stay here. Everything was perfect for me and my mom. I am a super clean person and usually never satisfied with the standards of some hotels but this one exceeded my expectations. Everything was super clean! And the staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was yummy and very filling! And the location is just perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a walkable distance to where you can catch boat cruises. I could really write a lot but I'm super super satisfied and totally recommend if you are looking for a very comfortable stay in Lagos.

The size of our family room was great, with 2 floors and plenty of space and storage , 2 separate bathrooms, patio downstairs and balcony with ocean views upstairs. The super friendly staff in the hotel is its real treasure and made our stay more enjoyable. Breakfast was tasty with good selection of hot and cold food, and some local pastry. The hotel is located about 20 mins walk or 5 mins uber (€3-€5) from old town and marina, full of nice restaurants and crafty shops. Praia Porto de Mos is the nearest beach to the hotel, and it is a perfect spot to take some of the best sunset pics. Would recommend a day trip to Sagres, where Europe starts or Alvor, small but very picturesque town next door.

Everything was just as it should be

The Lagos Atlantic hotel was wonderful! The hotel staff was really lovely, and very helpful. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Praia de Porto Mos, which is a stunning beach. The hotel itself is incredibly clean, we were so impressed with both the rooms and the hotel itself. The glass door to our bathroom was so clean that I ran right into it because I couldn't see that it was closed.

The only thing I would call out is that the bathroom door/walls are largely glass, so it doesn't allow for a lot of privacy.

Lagos has been a pleasant surprise in our itinerary! Lovely city, great options of adventure and a stunning hotel. Rooms are large and comfortable. Excellent amenities offered and very close to a beautiful beach. Jose (the pool bar incharge, from Porto, not sure if i spell the name correctly) is an excellent hospitality professional and always ready to please customers. The young lady at the reception who had spent most of her life in Germany is an asset to the place. A very comfortable, clean and pleasant stay at Lagos Atlantic Hotel. Top spot to stay!

The stuff was very friendly. Unfortunately I didn’t ask for the name of the receptionist who checked us in (29 december 2024 in the afternoon), he gave us advice to visit marvellous and picturesque places!!! We are very greatful for his suggestion! Thanks to his advice we enjoyed wonderful views and places every single day we stayed in Portugal. The beach is really nearby and that’s nice of course. We recommend to rent a car if u want to see those picturesque cliffs and places.

If to compare the breakfasts in the 4 star hotels I’ve been before, I can say that I have had better ones than at this hotel. I mean the choice of the food. The coffee was good and that’s more important for me)).

Nice clean quiet hotel with friendly staff, good parking, nice rooms, fairly decent breakfast, nice pool, south facing, reasonably priced bar, so lots of sun during the day. There is a beach and a couple of beachside restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk.

The food menu could have been a little less limited, but what we had was nice. It is located quite a way from Lagos town centre and the main restaurants, which is about 30-40 minutes walk away or a 4 Euro ish Uber ride, not a problem for us, but for some it may be.

Big room with amazing view to the sea. All the staff is very friendly and pays attention to the guests needs. Breakfast has lots of options and the pool bar excellent drinks. Amin makes a day at the pool a bliss

The matress is on the harder side. Do to current construction work there was some noise in the morning. Location is a good walk away from city center

This hotel is a bit away from the city center but the locality is quiet with a sea view. The service is great at this hotel and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options, they also provided hot and freshly prepared options from their egg menu for breakfast. The hotels and rooms were clean. The nearest beach is hardly 0.5 km away from the hotel. Also one end of the walking trail is around 0.8 km away.

The furniture in the room was old for example the sofa in our room was quite old, the balcony door was not locking properly and there were no accessible plugs for charging in the room especially near the bed.
