At this time of year we only used the indoor pool. It is quite large. The spa pools with the jets were nice. We used the sauna but unfortunately during our stay the eucalyptus steam room was unavailable. We loved the view from our room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped well enough for our four day stay. The location is walking distance to the beach and a hiking trail. The Old Town is a short drive away. This is a very nice apartment in a resort setting.

This property was convenient and a great location to the city center. The staff were all friendly and was only a short walk to the beach.

This property was more like an apartment than a hotel. We didn’t receive coffee in our room which you get at most hotels and no turn down service. We also were told we would receive a bottle of champagne since we were celebrating our honeymoon and we did not get that. There were also a ton of ants in our room.

The rooms were large and spacious with everything you could possibly need. Photos are very true to those on the website. The decor was lovely. The bed was so comfortable. You could tune into Netflix on the t.v. Bathroom was spacious with a shower and bath. The balcony overlooked the pool. I loved the electronic shutters. The spa and pool areas were beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is very close to the beach. The food was lovely. The area was safe and peaceful. We loved it.

It is a long walk into the centre of Lagos but we didn't mind that. We enjoyed the scenic route walking along the Ponta da Piedade . The views were breath taking.

Some of SPA amenities were not functioning, for example steam room. as result sauna became overcrowded sometimes No refill of capsules for expresso machine, but can be purchased separately for symbolic price

Fantastic location close to a beautiful beach. While not walkable to Old Town, it is only a very short drive. Free parking! Beautiful facilities. Our room was lovely and huge. Amazing view from our room and from the pool. Great value overall.

The pool/beach towel situation is strange. You have to go down to the gym/spa inside the lower level of the hotel to get a towel and only 1 towel per day is allowed with no exchanges even if your towel is soaked. The towel person was not friendly. Breakfast is very expensive.

Location on beautiful coastal strip, sufficiently near Lagos town. Staff nice and helpful. Quiet and tranquil hotel.

Was a bit of a disappointment to our teenagers that most of the indoor spa facilities was closed for them. I understand the need to have children-free areas, but for a finn the idea that the Sauna would be off-limit to part of the family is a bit odd

The Belmar is an amazing resort. The staff are all friendly and go out of their way to answer all your questions and requests. The rooms/apartment was clean, large and the view was spectacular. The location is perfect as you can easily walk to the beach. You can't really get closer than that. Great kitchen, living and dining area. Large TV with many channels (variety for kids, and many channels in English, French and obviously in Portuguese). Large balcony with big table and chairs in case you want to eat while watching the sunset. Big bathrooms with all the amenities.

Really the only thing I wish this place had is a drying machine for your clothes (a dryer). It does contain a washer and a drying rack outside the balcony near the kitchen but it is a bit small (for a family of 4 for example). So ultimately you can do a small load but have to hang your laundry to dry. If you are in a rush or it isn't sunny out to dry your clothes, you're kind of stuck. This is my only recommendation to the resort.

Apartment is spacious, we got 2 bedrooms apartment with large living room as well as big kitchen area. It comes with all the necessary kitchenwares if you want to cook some meals yourself. But we spent most of the time eating out as restaurants around the area offer a very tasty foods at reasonable price. Location of the Belmar Spa is very close to the very nice beach (Porto de Mos - Praia de Porto Mos), just 3 minutes walk from the apartment, and also close to Lagos old town (roughly 5 - 7 mins drive from the apartment) where you can find historical sites, bars, restaurants, shops, etc. and also a must do Kayaking (guided kayaking - a big boat will tow a group of kayaks to the safe area and guide you through the caves and tow you back to the port), start at the Lagos port (in the old town area) which you can kayak and view the beautiful caves from Estudantes beach (Praia dos Estudantes) to the Ponta da Piedade. I strongly recommend this activity, you will not regret. The cost os 35 Eur per person, but it is worth it. Restaurant inside the resort is very nice, offering a great foods and amazing view of the beach. Breakfast is fantastic, with many options on the menu for you to choose as well as buffet bar. Nearby outside, there are 2 very nice restaurants at the beach (Campimar & O Antonio) - you should book a table in advance for dinner, as these 2 restaurants are often fully booked for dinner.

One of the pools (the one just outside of our apartment) was under renovation, but we knew it prior to booking so it wasn't a surprise to us. Wifi in the room was great, but Wifi in the common area such as restaurant was very slow, though it doesn't bother us so much as we have 5G.

When we were looking for a place in Lagos, Belmar Resort was recommended. We were looking for a property close to the beach, with restaurant and bar and also indoor pool since we were going in November. About 1 month before our arrival I received a message that the bar and restaurant would be closed for renovations. So do I look elsewhere to book? I reached out to the hotel and they assured me that they were other restaurant options close by, which was the case. At that time I asked about the indoor pool and was told that it was open. Upon arrival we were informed that the indoor pool was also closed. So all three amentities I was looking for were now not available. Quite disappointed.

That the 3 amentities that I booked for were no longer available at check-in and there was no compensation for any of these inconveniences. In retrospect, should have cancelled rooms and found someplace. However, the resort is lovely, location is great, and we made the best of our time.

We had a fantastic week at this self-catering seaview apartment at this beach side resort. The apartment was spacious, clean, and offered stunning sea views. The resort's facilities were perfect for our family(my wife, my 2 year old and myself), and we loved spending time by the pool and exploring the nearby beach, just a 3-minute walk away. Breakfast at the on-site restaurant was delicious, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We also used the paid nanny service for a date day/night, which was excellent. Overall, a perfect spot for a relaxing family vacation. We’ll definitely be back!
