At this time of year we only used the indoor pool. It is quite large. The spa pools with the jets were nice. We used the sauna but unfortunately during our stay the eucalyptus steam room was unavailable. We loved the view from our room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped well enough for our four day stay. The location is walking distance to the beach and a hiking trail. The Old Town is a short drive away. This is a very nice apartment in a resort setting.

This property was convenient and a great location to the city center. The staff were all friendly and was only a short walk to the beach.

This property was more like an apartment than a hotel. We didn’t receive coffee in our room which you get at most hotels and no turn down service. We also were told we would receive a bottle of champagne since we were celebrating our honeymoon and we did not get that. There were also a ton of ants in our room.

Some of SPA amenities were not functioning, for example steam room. as result sauna became overcrowded sometimes No refill of capsules for expresso machine, but can be purchased separately for symbolic price

The rooms were large and spacious with everything you could possibly need. Photos are very true to those on the website. The decor was lovely. The bed was so comfortable. You could tune into Netflix on the t.v. Bathroom was spacious with a shower and bath. The balcony overlooked the pool. I loved the electronic shutters. The spa and pool areas were beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is very close to the beach. The food was lovely. The area was safe and peaceful. We loved it.

It is a long walk into the centre of Lagos but we didn't mind that. We enjoyed the scenic route walking along the Ponta da Piedade . The views were breath taking.

We loved our 2 bedroom apartment. The beds were comfortable and all of the rooms had electronic rolladen shutters making the rooms completely dark for sleeping. The apartments had all of the basics we needed. We also loved the pool facilities. The hydro pool and sauna was a treat and real surprise. We enjoyed all of the different stations in the hydra pool for massage and relaxation. We did breakfast one day and found it to be very high quality and diverse. I would recommend it. Finally, the customer service at the front desk, spa and bar was amazing.

Dinner at the restaurant was disappointing, bland and overpriced. I would recommend going out to eat around the local area because there are so many great options nearby.

Great facilities- indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa, sauna, great apartments.

Staff at the reception and hotel policy that requires credit card at check to make a copy of it. No authorisation on card or deposit made. If you do not follow this process you do not receive keys to your room. At the check in we got the room with wrong beds one large instead of two single for our adult kids and when I requested to change this they did not guarantee that it will be done. I contacted Booking helpline and next day the hotel staff fix the problem. This was however very disappointing how the hotel takes care of their customers.

This complex is an excellent place to stay if you want to unwind and relax. We had a full apartment with a kitchenette which was poolside and was a fabulous space. The room was clean and the air conditioning was very effective. The pool was a good size and we had no issue getting a sun lounger at any time. The poolside bar served nice food and was very reasonably priced. The beach is a 2 minute walk, it does get quite busy but it's never unbearable. Lagos is a short drive away, we hired an Uber there and back for around 10 Euros. The taxis are readily available. The staff at the complex were very personable and helpful and we had a marvellous stay here. We would not hesitate to return.

The Belmar is an amazing resort. The staff are all friendly and go out of their way to answer all your questions and requests. The rooms/apartment was clean, large and the view was spectacular. The location is perfect as you can easily walk to the beach. You can't really get closer than that. Great kitchen, living and dining area. Large TV with many channels (variety for kids, and many channels in English, French and obviously in Portuguese). Large balcony with big table and chairs in case you want to eat while watching the sunset. Big bathrooms with all the amenities.

Really the only thing I wish this place had is a drying machine for your clothes (a dryer). It does contain a washer and a drying rack outside the balcony near the kitchen but it is a bit small (for a family of 4 for example). So ultimately you can do a small load but have to hang your laundry to dry. If you are in a rush or it isn't sunny out to dry your clothes, you're kind of stuck. This is my only recommendation to the resort.

Fantastic location close to a beautiful beach. While not walkable to Old Town, it is only a very short drive. Free parking! Beautiful facilities. Our room was lovely and huge. Amazing view from our room and from the pool. Great value overall.

The pool/beach towel situation is strange. You have to go down to the gym/spa inside the lower level of the hotel to get a towel and only 1 towel per day is allowed with no exchanges even if your towel is soaked. The towel person was not friendly. Breakfast is very expensive.

The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Diana at the front desk was especially helpful during our stay. Breakfast was excellent. Good selection of hot and cold foods. Coffee maker with multiple choices of different coffees and a fresh squeezed orange juice maker. The beach was a short walk away down the hill and once there offered a nice hike up a hill to beautiful views. Four outdoor pools ( not heated) including an adult only pool and an Indoor heated pool in the spa was wonderful. Photos are views from our room.
