Beautiful tiny cottage located 2 min walk from shops. Lovely place for a quite weekend away. We loved getting takeaway, sitting around the fire with the lights turned down, playing board games with a glass of wine. Beautiful front garden to sit it when not in the house.

Nothing to be done about it, as the house is an old cottage, but you need to be aware that the staircase leading up to the bathroom and second bed is very narrow and steep. Im 90kg and broad shouldered and found it tight. If you were not 100% comfortable with steep narrow stairs (eg elderly, bad joints, have trouble fitting into a std airplane chair...) this may not be for you I think the site could do with a spring clean.

The cottage itself was really cozy and welcoming , it was warm and comfortable, which made it perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location was amazing, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, yet still close enough to everything we needed. We also really appreciated the breakfast options available , they were delicious and added a special touch to our mornings. The space was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, despite the small issue at check-in, we truly enjoyed our time here. With such a charming atmosphere and great amenities, we would definitely consider coming back!

We are two friends travelling together and booked the two-bedroom cottage, which was more expensive than the studio. At check-in, only one bedroom was available, and the other was locked. Brett promptly came and unlocked the second bedroom, but charged us an extra fee for it. I don’t think this was fair, as we had already booked (and paid for) the more expensive option to have both bedrooms available. Aside from this issue, the experience was really good. If it weren’t for that, the stay would have been perfect.

This is the most memorable accommodation I've ever stayed, with beautiful forest view and fairy tale design. The facilities are in very good condition, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a garden are included. In addition to everything needed, the manager was very considerate to provide small, nice stuff like a candle, an incense, matches, chocolates, a CD player, booklets about the area... and even attached a lovely welcoming note to the door, which really added more sweet flavour during my stay. The atmosphere is unbelievably peaceful, perfect for people who want to escape city and enjoy nature & meditation.

The little cottage was warm and inviting on my arrival even had nice jazz playing on the radio on my arrival. The facilities were great very homely and there was a great array of breakfast options provided. The staff were very pleasant a d helpful

Being a little cottage on a hillside the path up was a little dicey - i was lucky to have the cleaner there to help me with my bags. .If in a car no problem the road up leads to the cottage and there is a carport

This accommodation is something really special and our favourite on a 3-week southern Australia round trip. Caretakers might be the smallest of the cottages, but I think its the best as it is very secluded. Wonderful for a romantic get away! Having a wine on the patio at night and in the morning you feel like waking up in an enchanted forest. The hosts had prepared everything very well for our stay. Upper town is within walking distance.

Getting the luggage to the cottage is a bit of a mission along the narrow winding nature path and there‘s not a lot of room for storing it. The wall of the bathroom doesnt go all the way up to the ceiling, so not complete privacy on the loo. It wasn‘t a problem for us but something to consider depending who you want to share the cottage with.

The quiet and the little paths seem to encourage you to explore the garden, all the hidden antiques and vintage tricycles hidden away. I loved the charm of the caretakers cottage, it was definitely a memorable experience for all the right reasons. That vintage feel is esactly what my partner and I love when poking through historical towns, it was superb would not hesitate to recommend to frienda and family looking for a quiet get away

The little rock in the car park denoting the 45 degtee angle parking, gave our car some grief on the first day, but it is definitely avoidable we just miss judged, and with a lower sedan took a bit of a scrape on the exhaust. If that was the worst of it then I can assure anyone reading this that Como Cottages should be on your list of places to hide from the world for a few days

The Lavender Cottage is a superb location. Very central. Onsite parking and a 1 minute walk to the main precinct of Olinda. Usual accommodation amenities. Private from neighbours. Spacious bedrooms. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Quiet. Picturesque. Relaxing. Local area recommendations available. Board games and some reading matter available. Wifi available. Kitchen very well setup with lots of old world charm. Breakfast foods were plentiful & yummy. Spoilt for choices! The owners are very helpful and kind. There are some internal steps between rooms on the ground floor of this cottage and while there is a bedroom downstairs, the only toilet was upstairs, which was fine for us. Loved our stay here. So quaint, relaxing & beautiful.

Love the closeness to Olinda village while still feeling like I’m in the forest. It’s a short walk either way to Olinda village and the other part of Olinda. It’s very cosy with the wood fire and the owners are very generous with breakfast provisions. This is my second stay with Como Cottages and I’ll likely stay again in the future on my next trip to Melbourne.

charming little cottage with great character, comfortable and all the services you could need. staff were helpful, responsive and friendly. spa was fantastic, great breakfast provided.

our first night had torrential rain that ended up with a lot of water coming inside through the bedroom window. as soon as we called the host came to clear gutters and fixed the leak, thankfully.

It was nestled within a cozy spot, very private and it felt like you were the only one there. Magical. The fridge and pantry was stocked with breakfast foods and drinks, and the kitchen was set up to make your stay super comfortable. Also, super lovely manager at the property. The weather was perfectly cold and misty and I had the perfect view of it from my bed.
