Decent room, was nice to have a TV! (Even though the remote wasn't the greatest so it took some effort to actually use it) Friendly staff. Decent location: not the best neighbourhood, but also definitely not the worst and several public transport options pretty close by (15-30minute walk). I didn't use it, but it's nice that you can get coffee, tea and lemonade all day from the reception/ breakfast area. Nice to have airconditioning in the room as well. Breakfast was good: not a lot of variation, but they did keep it well stocked the whole time. Very good price for what you get honestly. I paid around 140 pounds for 2 nights in summer! This was the only place I could find for a price around that with my own bathroom and with breakfast included. I would stay here again! Tip from me for a nice place to eat is to walk 10 minutes to The Grill Stratford for a really nice burger (at least mine was)
The walls of the rooms are pretty thin so I could hear my neighbour pretty well in the morning. The airconditioning makes a bit of noise.

The location was great for what we were looking for, the price as very good. The room was perfect for what we needed there was a nice clean breakfast in the morning, I would like to highlight the staff where very nice and welcoming and I would like to say the night staff that were in when we was there was friendly and gave us some great advice about getting around London, an over all lovely experience. I would highly recommend the hotel dc to other people.
If I was to be really picky because I had no faults really, an extra pillow on the bed would’ve been nice (we could’ve asked so that’s on us really) but doesn’t take away from the over all experience, very happy.

I felt very safe as a solo traveler. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming. The 24-hour front desk was very reassuring to me. The breakfast was delicious. The location was very convenient. There were multiple stops along the road that made it very easy to travel around london. I went to a concert the third day I was there and returned back to the hotel around midnight. It was less than a five minute walk back to the hotel from the bus stop. There was also staff at the front desk when we came back. On top of it all, they offer free wifi, which was nice so I could call my family back at home without having to think about how much it would cost. The AC unit was a very nice bonus as it was around 30°c the first two days I was there. Overall, it was a very nice and welcoming hotel that I would definitely recommend and return to if I ever find myself in London again.
Nothing, really.

Very friendly and helpful staff, modern rooms with excellent powerful shower, comfy bed, communal outdoors sitting area, front reception area/breakfast space with help yourself teas, coffees (from a machine) and jiuces, all complimentary (but you could buy snacks from the reception desk too). Felt secure, area seemed ok, and was on a main bus route, so easy to reach Stratford underground in 15 minutes, and Victoria Park directly on the bus in 40 (we were at a music festival there). Excellent value for money.
Not much in the way of bars and restaurants closeby, and convenience stores don't open late. Rooms were compact (as expected) but well designed. We think perhaps having the bed with small bedsides would be better than pushed against a wall with a larger bedside as it is now - just mean't one of us having to exit over the bed in the night, but no big deal.

Everyone in the staff were always super friendly and smiles. They care about their guests as they had asked me if everything was alright a couple of times. The breakfast was really delicious and filling, and you could take as much as you wanted to eat. You are allowed to use the breakfast area past breakfast time to have your dinner there if you have take out or something like that. they also allow you to have the drinks there during the day too, which is very nice. There is also a elevator in the hotel which is very nice because I have a hard time walking sometimes. The room I was staying at was very clean, and the bedsheets and towels didn't smell overly bleachy like they do in most places.
My only complaint would be that the bed is a little bit hard to sleep on, but that is a personal thing for me as I'm used to softer beds, I'm sure that for most other people the bed would be more than fine.

The staff, location to other transport links, it was very clean. Breakfast was an added bonus. They dealt with a problem reasonably quickly.
Breakfast was a free for all, not enough tables for the amount of guests. Guests had to clear their own dishes which was fine but some didn’t and the tables were sometimes left dirty. Our shower had no hot water our first morning so we had a freezing shower - it was fixed by evening. We received a free upgrade to a family room which was under the reception/breakfast area and it was very noisy. Luckily, we weren’t in the room very much. The window had no view as it was in the basement. Lovely room though.

The hotel is clean, comfy, and overall no-frills. There was a kettle (a very basic kettle, but kettle nevertheless) in our room with some tea and coffee. That's always a big plus. Additionally, you can have coffee, tea, or water in the lobby at any time during the day. The staff were quite nice, even allowing us to leave our luggage at the reception after checkout while waiting for our flight back home. If you like English-style breakfast (bacon, sausages, eggs, hash brown, etc.), then you'll be happy about that too.
More breakfast options would have been awesome! I'm not much of a bacon person and I always avoid eggs I didn't make myself. The only breakfast option left was peanut butter and jelly toasts.

This was the second time that I had stayed at the Hotel DC on Romford Road in Stratford in less than a year having stayed in it in July 2024. It is in a superb location being situated on a busy main road with a frequent bus service to and from the Stratford transport interchange. However it is set far enough back from the road to mitigate the noise from the heavy traffic. There is a convenient diagram in the reception area showing the directions and walking distances to nearby railway stations and also the directions and walking distances to nearby bus stops and which bus numbers go to and from those bus stops.
Breakfast at the Hotel DC in Stratford is served from 7.30 to 9.00 seven days a week. On my previous visit in July 2024 it was served from 7.30 to 9.30 seven days a week. I think it would have been better if it was served up to 9.30 rather than 9.00.

Perfect location for travelling around London, 5 minutes by bus or 20 minutes walk from Stratford Station Clean rooms, very nicely cleaned no dust nice bathrooms and all your expected amenities Smoking area, nicely taken care of and well maintained smoking area accessible by some cool spiral staircases Friendly and helpful staff, very accommodating and even had our room ready early, 10/10 for service Good classic hotel breakfast with squash and hot drinks available Hot drinks available for free throughout stay and cans of drink available for just £1 which was very nice! Check in is from 2pm which I like as it's earlier than most hotels Honestly exceeded my expectations tremendously, will absolutely be booking again whenever I need a quick place to stay in London with easy travel access thank you for a great stay team Hotel DC!
No criticisms, will absolutely be coming back next time I need somewhere to stay for an event in/around London

This was, admittedly, a surprise for us, but this is a very nice hotel. Looks like it's been renovated recently, our room was perfectly clean, even though it was on the basement level. The bathroom was exceptionally clean too. The rooms are small, but for a night or two it is perfect. Breakfast is exceptional for this price! You can make a full english, everything is tasty and fresh. Drinks (coffee, water) are always available in the lobby. Had a nice chat with people at the reception. There is a bus nearby that will take you to the tube station or you can walk in a straight line for about 20 minutes. A quiet neighbourhood. Overall, 10/10, would stay again, recommend to everyone.
Nothing, everything was perfect.
