Good location although a bit noisy from traffic and the coffee shops across the road. Quiet at night

The very strong light from the BBQ area is left on all night and shines into the room.

It was in a lovely location, 5 mins to the beach, in the centre of a little town with good amenity (pizza, burgers, chemist, cafe, news-agency, bottle shop), quiet for sleeping (important when you are road tripping with an 11 week old baby!) It is a simple fit out which was clean and calm and had good lighting (important!). It had comfortable beds with hotel-style bedding, a good TV that didn’t overpower the room, somewhere to sit and eat, good kitchenette that had been thoughtfully equip with washing up amenity, a torch, good tea (twinings), kettle and microwave. Appreciated the thoughtfulness of the way the rooms are put together and provided for. Owners were lovely and accommodated us staying at extra night when we decided we hadn’t had enough of the town yet!

Not much! If I was pressed it would be the curtains look a little mouldy and could do with a deep clean, could splurge on some nicer toilet paper, air con unit could do with a service (there is about 10 degrees difference in reality between 20 and 22 degrees - hard to get it the right temperature!). Maybe an extra key would be handy if there are beds suitable for 4 people.

Everything went really well. The communication from the property was excellent. Pre check-in was easy, we received the code for the key box on our day of arrival, the room was clean, spacious and well-equipped. The bed was comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. The pool was refreshing. The BBQ area looked good but we didn’t use it. There were a selection of cafes for breakfast/lunch, pizza place (amazing selection) for dinner and a small supermarket with a good range of items. The beach was a short walk away. We were happy to find somewhere for just one night as we wanted to break up our journey. Mark was friendly and super helpful.

Location was great- across the road from small set of shops that had all you need- pizza, coffee, bakery, small supermarket, bottle shop, cafes. Also a very short walk around the corner to the beach- you could hear the waves crashing at night! (unpatrolled beach though fabulous to walk along) The pool (cold water) and spa (heated) were fabulous and I loved the pool lounges surrounding the area. The room was spacious and had all you needed. Didn't use the air con as it wasn't needed during our stay. Loved having a balcony- helped catching a breeze. Loved the artwork around the place. A real 'beachy' feel. Staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful. Checking in was easy and all communication was effortless. I had never been to Blueys Beach before and am certainly glad we came and stayed at Blueys motel.

Noisy during the day as the motel is right across the road from the strip of shops. That being said, it was quiet at night.

The cleanliness of the room was fantastic, the room itself just had a lovely vibe. The bed was SO comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony overlooking the street having a beer and eating lunch. Such a relaxed atmosphere PLUS our microwave didn't work so within 10mins of calling someone had come and replaced it so customer service was top notch!

We tried to use the spa in the early evening but the water was FREEZING! Was more than likely something we did haha

Very comfortable beds, nice to be given a bottle of water too. A walk across the road for some snacks, bottle shop and other nice shops. Very clean. Nice to have option to clean/ refresh towels etc. And a great outdoor table and chairs for an afternoon beverage.

It would be great to update to a nicer coffee choice, but not a deal breaker with a fantastic coffee shop a very short stroll away. The bathroom is on the older side, but ever so clean.

Perfect little motel for a road trip or a getaway. The room was clean and bright and comfortable, with modest, tasteful furnishing and decoration. The motel is very near Blueys beach which is simply stunning. It sits on the main strip of the village and is opposite a few cafes that serves tasty coffees and breakfasts. The room also provides a nice selection of teas and some basic instant coffee. We didn’t use the pool as we only stayed one night but it looked clean.

The room is spacious, clean and cosy. Great shower pressure. Really good location — next door to Kembali cafe and across the road from your only nearby dinner option (pizza). Comfortable bed and very soft bed linen. TV is huge! Great that they have an outdoor shower, pool and spa — it was cool and rainy when we were there so we didn’t use those things but they are great additions.

Location was good. Bed very comfortable & room decorations lovely & beachy. Range of herbal teas was great. Outdoor table & chairs were a great place to eat breakfast....very sunny. Spa pool was welcome although could be warmer in this cooler, wintry weather

Dishes needed to be washed in the bathroom basin, which is not ideal. Only one towel provided for pool/spa, yet there were two of us

Very clean and tidy and rooms are serviced daily. Great pool and spa for the kids to play in and lovely outdoor BBQ area at the back. Just across the road from the shops and cafes and 3 minute walk to the beach so location is perfect!

My only quibble is a sink in the little kitchenette or perhaps outside in the BBQ area would have been good so we didn't have to wash up in the bathroom sink. Otherwise everything was great!
