We thought it was 1 room however it was actually 2 rooms, 1 with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, TV (with DVD player) and sofa while the kitchen had a dining table, everything you need for cooking including microwave (even left a tea towel, dish cloths and washing up liquid) and bunk beds with a chest of drawers in an alcove. Just off this was a toilet with walk in shower. Honestly, we were more than pleased! Meant me and the hubby had our own room and our 12 year old enjoyed the bunk beds. By the front door of the building itself, there's a book case and DVDs on shelves that you can borrow. Even had a list of takeaway numbers and local information leaflets of things to do. Round the back, there was a laundry room with 4 irons and ironing boards, a communal garden with tables and benches and even a swing set and little slide. Oh and 2 whirly things you can hang your washing on. Location was great. Literally out the door, turn right, right again and in just a few minutes walk you are on the front. Could take the dogs on a bit of Goodrington beach and not Paignton beach cause of the time of year, but that's not far either and if you are there early morning, your dogs will love it cause everyone has the same idea so it's almost a dog meet up!! Plus the views walking down to Goodrington are amazing, it's defo worth the walk around Roundham and down the slope to the front. We have been going down to Paignton for the last 6 years cause my parents moved there and I honestly wish we'd have found Broadshade earlier. For added info, we stayed in room 5 and stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday, 5/5 from us ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We didn't meet the owners, you are left to your own devices really. However there were 2 (I am presuming ) housekeepers when we arrived, who were lovely very chatty and told us where the room was. Great location, plenty of parking. Rooms were spotless, we are leaving room 12 today at the top. 2 small flights of stairs to the top nothing strenuous. Lovely view of Paignton beach and sea. Lovely morning view on a clear day. Very quiet area, only hear the birds in the morning. Room had a pull down bed and a large single. Nice size kitchen, wardrobe, towels everything you need really. Coffes and tea doesn't get filled up so bring your own. Perfect room, location and property for a stay like ours. We will definitely come back.

Nothing, it's one of the best value for money hotels in Paighnton. Room could probably do with a lick of paint to freshen it up but apart from that I give it 10/10.

The location was excellent. The building was historical amazing architecture. The view was lovely looking over the pier. The room was adequate size for a couple.

The smell of Dogs from other holiday people staying in the other rooms. But the manager Dave did a good job cleaning and using air freshener.

Place was very clean.bed comfortable. Had items to wash up with. Toilet paper. Soap.ect living roomChairs to sit on. nice view. Garden great for the dog.. free parking. Very quiet. Kitchen table to sit at. Hosts excellent very friendly. Dvds and games free to watch &use.

Larger towels. Full length mirror. Not on a hill.!!! Being on the top floor. Needs larger tv.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable with everything you needed for a short stay. Dave and Kelly were very friendly and helpful. Just a short walk into town and a perfect location as a base for exploring Devon. Parking on site. Dog friendly. We have a large dog and there was enough room for her in the apartment. Paignton itself is very dog friendly too. Excellent value for money.

The website is very out of date. You don’t need to take bed covers, towels etc or have coins for the electricity meter. Everything is provided for you, even soap, washing up liquid, tea towels etc.

Great location great self check in/access system, friendly place, spotlessly clean, plenty of tea/ coffee to get you started. Great to have washing facilities, even supplied detergent, irons and hoover available as well. Large selection books and DVD's and board games available on bookcases in the common areas

Liked everything about it for the money, a little dated and didn't expect a pull down bed, but it was spectacularly comfortable, value for money would be incredibly hard to beat! If you have mobility issues for ground floor as the stairs are a bit steep, also to be aware it is up hill from the seafront by quite a way but easy walk for most people

Bed was very comfy, considering it folded out of the wall. Room was small but big enough for what we needed. Nicely decorated, clean, and lots of things to do/borrow for a night in such as DVDS, books and games. Location was great, short walk to the beach and road was quiet. There is a steep hill to walk up to get to the apartments. Paignton is a lovely area to stay in. There is a garden at the property but we didn't get time to use it. Very close to little convient shop, about 10 minute walk into the town if you need a bigger supermarket e.g. Tesco. Would highly recommend this property to stay in :-)

We liked everything about the property, however, none of the pictures on booking.com reflect the room/apartment you stay in.

Room was perfect for my small family, alittle bit dated and in need of a few repairs but had everything we needed, the garden was great for the little ones to use up any left over energy. Dave and his wife were great hosts, nothing was too much and it was appreciated.

Very clean, so comfortable, the apartment had everything we needed. Plenty of space and a fully equipped kitchen. Lovely big garden which both us and the dog loved. Big selection of board games, dvds and books available to borrow during your stay to keep you and/or the kids entertained if needed. Really close to the town, the harbour and the beach, all are just a short walk away.

Honestly, nothing!

My mum stayed in this property with her dog, she was very happy with it. The bed folded up to allow more room, it was clean and had a good sized kitchen area for a bedsit. The staff were happy to lend her the vacuum cleaner when she needed it.

My mum didn’t like how the fridge door would only open a few centimetres.
