Please book here for the view! We had a sea facing room and we were constantly amazed looking out towards Mt Vesuvius. Our room was incredibly clean and the facilities available the pool etc was perfect. Staff were all very friendly. The food and drink (as with most in Sorrento) was a little overpriced but we had budgeted for this. We enjoyed breakfast every morning some reviews say this is basic, but I don’t know what else you would want as it was all fresh and plenty of variety. We appreciated that the hotel had a car park just round the corner from the hotel. This was free and we had no issues parking. The hotel is about 15 mins drive down to Sorrento for reference. We had a delightful stay here at Grand Hotel Due Golfi enjoying our holiday to Sorrento.

The air-con in our room wasn’t the best. It was centrally managed by reception and we asked them to reset it for us which did help but if you want it ice cold or to manage yourself this isn’t the hotel for you. Other reviews have mentioned the shuttle bus. We used this once and for a 4 star the bus was filthy and not very frequent, especially in the evening. Worth hiring a car instead. The WiFi can be intermittent but it wasn’t too problematic.

The location is perfect. The hotel is overlooking the Vesuvius and the Napoli Golf and the view is simply stunning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As celiac travelers, we are always concerned to find properties that understand gluten-free restrictions. The staff at the main restaurant, Il Vespero, is very knowledge about allergens and cross-contamination and aimed at offering options everyday of our stay. A really great experience

The property is showing signs of age like the wooden doors ripped, the bedding is not very comfortable, and the shower is very small.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The shuttle bus service is excellent especially for avoiding extortionate taxis on the Amalfi Coast. The pool area is lovely with an mazing view although there was a lot of 'sun lounger saving' going on which was a bit frustrating. Breakfast was really nice. The location near the town/village of Sant'Agata was also excellent as there are a number of bars and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk which meant you didn't have to go into Sorrento every night.

Sun lounger saving The walk into Sant'Agata is down a road which doesn't have pavement for c.200m. Some people might not feel comfortable with this.

The Grand Hotel Due Golfi has an amazing view - from the breakfast room, from the bar, from the pool area and from our room! The staff were incredible - Orella was especially helpful providing local restaurant recommendations in nearby St Agata, providing maps of Sorrento and helping us book a tour of the Amalfi Coast. Breakfast was delicious and the view looking out over the Bay of Naples to Mt Vesuvius was really special. The Hotel is located approx. 15-20 minutes drive from Sorrento up in the hills near St Agata. The rooms were clean and had large desks and good storage. Like all of Italy the bathrooms were small. The pickup point for the shuttle bus to the Grand Hotel Due Golfi is in Sorrento is near the Grand Hotel Cesare Augusto, approx 15 minutes walk from the train station. The shuttle bus runs 4 times per day and taxis are expensive so make sure you book your pick up and drop off times well in advance, and time your arrival and departures around it. The small town of St Agata is a 5-10 minute walk - they have a convenience store and some great restaurants. It was wonderful to be able to hear the St Agata church bells while having Apertivo around the pool at the Hotel and watching the sunset. It was equally great to get up early and watch the sunrise over the hills from our balcony.

We visited in April and had to swim in the pool for the view and the experience - if the pool was heated it would have been perfect!

The location is perfect, we love Sant Agata with its bars and restaurants, but having the free shuttle bus also made going into Sorrento so easy. Obviously the pool area and restaurant are stunning. We didn’t book a sea/pool view room, but struck lucky with a fourth floor room with a wrap around terrace, amazing views. Lovely friendly staff, who surprised us on my daughter’s 18th birthday by delivering a bottle of Prosecco to our room. Thoroughly loved it here and would come back here without hesitation.

Nothing.

The hotel is beautifully scenic, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were amazing—friendly, helpful, and very responsive on WhatsApp. The free shuttle to Sorrento was a big plus. The pool area is lovely, everything was very clean, and the balconies added a nice touch to the rooms. Cocktails at the pool bar were a treat!

The bed and pillows were not very comfortable, and the breakfast was quite disappointing. The pool was often too cold to enjoy, and the service at the pool bar was inconsistent depending on the staff member.

The whole experience was very good. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was very good, and the view was beautiful. The hotel staff was just amazing, very polite, and willing to help.

Wi-fi was very bad in our room. I had to work for a few days and it was not comfortable to keep moving to the hotel lobby to get a good connection. The hotel is a little bit far from Sorrento center, but it offers a free shuttle service (with pre-defined schedule).

We stayed here for a week and found the location perfect, quiet and relaxing. The staff make this place, they are all so lovely and the girls on the front desk so helpful. We had a car but we didn't want to drive into Sorrento so used the shuttle bus to get in and out of town. The nearby village had about 6 restaurants which you could walk to in 20 minutes as well as a large supermarket. The pool area is perfect. Breakfast was very good.

The breakfast was the same every day.

Our room with balcony and view across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius. The pool area and pool - one of the nicest I' ve experienced. Gorgeous view from the infinity pool and from the poolside loungers over the rooftops of Sorrento and the Bay. The efficient and pleasant staff who would advise and support with all sightseeing and hotel related requests. The courtesy bus down into and back up from Sorrento with it's endlessly cheerful drivers Breakfast overlooking the Bay - wonderful with lovely fresh produce - some of it grown in the hotel garden. Gorgeous bar to watch the sun going down in, with a lovely cocktail made by the excellent barman. Clean cool marble everywhere. 10 minute walk into lovely wee village (Sant' Agata) if you wanted a change from the hotel restaurant with lots of restaurants. Not for the faint- hearted, but a fabulous if steep 3km walk from Sant'Agata down what looked like an old donkey path into Sorrento. Good footwear, a bottle of water and a hat essential, but a fun thing to do with great views.

A small thing - but we love our morning coffee with breakfast. It was provided by one of those machines that offer coffees to suit different tastes ( cappuccino, espresso etc) but unfortunately the coffee itself wasn't great. The coffee down in the poolside bar was better.

We visited in April so we couldn’t take advantage of their pool or outside sitting areas which looked very inviting. We did however enjoy the scenic bar area, which had comfortable seating and views of Sorrento, the sea and Mount Vesuvius. Our room was comfortable and clean and the balcony was lovely, however it lacked privacy. Meals were fine. The Staff was some of the friendliest and helpful staff we encountered. On our second night, we walked to a restaurant a few minutes away that was very good.
