My Husband and I loved our stay there, we were given an up grade to what we booked as it was our anniversary which was so nice to receive...but even if we hadnt got that up grade we would have totally loved the place...so historically beautiful...definitely will recommend. PS I found out after we had booked that my daughter who was travelling through from Qld with her husband to be(they were getting married at our farm)along with their 3 very young children, stayed there on their way down and loved it....great place.

The staff are exceptional. Hermitage Hill is undergoing extensive renovations so it’s very hard to rate atm. I would definitely stay here again and after it’s been fully renovated it will be exceptional. Loved the freshly picked flowers in a vase delivered to my door after arrival. The lemons from their fruit trees an added bonus. So kind of the owners to be so hospitable. Thank you!

The shower head was just like turning a tap on and very hard to adjust. Not sure if it needed fixing or that’s the type of shower head used. A power point for the kettle would also have been convenient rather than putting the kettle in the bathroom to boil.

A divine and quaint country stay. Breathtaking views and such a peaceful serenity. Easy to access from main town, located at the end of the road off the main hwy (2mins from everything). Hermitage Hill, is a place to watch, and will be a high demand sort after place to stay. The pool absorbs the sun unobstructed from sunrise to sunset. The owner’s and their dog Patsy, are friendly and so is all the staff. The extra things I requested were easily offered, and I cannot wait to return again. There are extras around the property, that are not available at other places… including electric blankets (country can get cold during the early hours, especially in the winter), vending machines. and a brilliant evening view on the patio off the “guest house” to enjoy a local drop and watch the hills sing. All rooms are well equipped… and I peaked around some of the other options on offer (such as rooms with shared bathroom access… there is ample seperate female and male bathrooms in the guest residence). I throughly enjoyed everything that Hermitage Hill brought to the table, and would recommend to everyone.

I booked the wrong type of rooms by accident, the staff were able to amend my booking for a larger room with private bathroom in an instant of my calling to ask. I am very grateful for your help. There's a bbq and pool. The pool area was great!

A few bugs got in the room/common area during the night due to the lights, it's pretty out of their control but that would be the only negative for my stay. To be fair there were many bugs outside trying to get inside but failed.

Beautiful restored old property. Spacious common area and kitchen. Great features like fridge and tea and coffee facilities in our room. Our room had a shared bathroom, which was clean and spacious. Host recommended the Lion of Waterloo for dinner. A very good call. Enjoyed our stay. The only issue was that the security gate would not open automatically for our motorcycle. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and expect we will be back.

The Style, the View, comfortable bed & external door access from our room to outside verandah at Guesthouse was Perfect with new puppy with us. The shared Kitchen, Lounge & Bathroom facilities were large, well equipped with all needs & extremely clean. Be great for large family gatherings. View from Hilltop location over Wellington was beautiful & nighttime kangaroos.

Beautiful heritage buildings located in very pretty surroundings. The reed diffuser scent was absolutely beautiful and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch.

The renovations in the cottage could be more in line with the heritage of the building. There was someone else's left over food in the fridge when we arrived. TV in second bedroom was not plugged into the power as the cord didn't reach so had to find a power board to put there. Remote for TV in second bedroom didn't work

The owner was absolutely wonderful . We checked in super late and he was sooo accommodating. He also upgraded us for no extra charge . The Room was large and bed super comfy would just suggest a microwave . The owner offered us extra heater and went in and turned on out heater to make sure room was warm when we got there. Can't praise the owner , he truly went out of his way to be accommodating and helped me with an extra room last minute and didn't make me feel like a hassle at all . I love the old hospital transformed . It felt like it had history in an ornate, regal sort of way . Very peaceful asnd beautiful location.

I didn't like no microwave . It was also cold in the bathroom but U can heat it , but really ceilings take a little longer to heat but once heated it's lovely .

Restaurant was closed due to renovations. Whilst it would have not influenced our stay, it would have been good if this was communicated more clearly prior to check-in.

Non-contact check-in and check-out was convenient; however, we did not see any staff on the property for the duration of our stay which led to a feeling of isolation.

Fly screen on the door to the veranda would be great in the future. Would have loved to leave the door open at dawn....Maybe blind to darken the room for long sleepers in the future
