Very friendly and accommodating staff. Quite charmingly decorated. Nice neighborhood, situated close to the center of town and in immediate vicinity of a bus station that is serviced every roughly every five minute.

The pictogram suggests the hotel has parking. While it's mentioned in the fine print that this is public (street side) parking, this seems a bit disingenuous.The fees are ~35EUR/day. Stairs are very Dutch (steep and narrow). Rooms small and basic, so it's not great value for money but acceptable.

The location was about 25 minutes walk from Utrecht Central. But along the way to this hotel, there is plenty of lively food and pub options. Halfway through the distance to this hotel, it quietens down considerably. But still there is a large Jumbo and Albert Heijn which are both large supermarkets where you can any grocery. The hotel itself is cosy and lovely. I got a twin room and it was large, super clean and everything worked and was suffient for my 2 night stay. My family and I loved this place. The heating working great too and there was a window which you could open for fresh air. It also overlooked a small garden and you can see part of a small canal running through the back of the hotel. Clear instructions related to our stay was printed out onto a piece of paper and handed to us together with our room key.

The elderly male receptionist who greeted us was a little cold, but still polite. The younger man who checked us out waw much nicer and friendlier. There was no small kettle in the room and we has to pay 1 euro for a measly cup of hot water, coffee or tea. This spoilt the stay to be honest. Distance to the centre was quite far as we chose to walk, but it was still doable. Utrecht is a small town and adding to the step count's great also. In the room, the sink was a little small so washing face is a bit hard but still ok. You had to lock the main door to the room using a large and old fashioned key but it was kinda charming at the same time. Its really very hard to dislike this charming place :)

I liked this hotel, it's located in a very lively nice area of Utrecht, about 15-20 minutes away from the city center. Like other people wrote, the furniture was a bit outdated, but my room was really clean and the bed comfy, so that didn't bother me that much. The fixed shower head was a bit annoying, but then again, you cannot have it all :-))

A mobile shower head would be nice, since the shower cabin is very tight and that would help a lot while rinsing the soap off oneself.

This is a great place to stay if you have a bike to get around. It was the best value I could find in Utrecht as a solo traveler, and I have stayed here twice. There’s a cute place for coffee and breakfast nearby called Cafe Cornilus.

WiFi is a bit hit or miss. First room I could not access the WiFi signal. The second room was better, but it would cut out intermittently. Note that there are steep stairs and no lift.

I like the decoration in the breakfast room and at the reception. Breakfast provided everything I needed in a relaxed atmosphere. The hotel is a bit outside and could in theory by quite, if the other guests wouldn't slam the doors all the time - so don't forget your earplugs or book the whole floor!

since we had some sunny days before, the room was quite warm and it might be worse in summer. AC is not available, which is ok for me. But it would be fine if the window could by opened in a way that the room is not accessible via the balcony. However, it can't have been so bad, since I was there for the second time

You got exactly what you payed for. A lovely view, location, lovely staff and a quiet, relaxed, clean stay. Very pleased with my stay and would 100% use this hotel again for a sightseeing base. Near to some nice restaurants, and a small town centre and great bus accessibility from near the hotel.

Really nice and authenthic dutch home! The city center is easily accessable, great location. We had everything what we needed for a long weekend stay.

The hosts were friendly, althought during check in they could have provided more information.

It’s in a great area. The facilities are up kept well and in good condition. A lot of effort has been put into quality. It feels homey. It is in a fantastic neighborhood.

Stairs are tough but that’s common in most of historic Netherlands.

You have to be careful about the stairs inside the hotel, especially if your room is at the 2nd floor. I tripped and scratched my hand. The stairs are very narrow and small, so extra skill and awareness is needed for this :).

Hotel just outside the city center and close to public transport, but far outside to be in a quite neighborhood. The breakfast area has a nice view on their garden.

Not that much space for city bikes (but enough for mine). Breakfast was okay, but with limited choice.
