Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Location is excellent. Staff are fantastic. Breakfast is delicious. Hotel grounds are stunning with lemon and orange trees surrounding the pool. We travelled with our teenage daughter and booked the double room with patio (room 606) and it was perfection. Would stay here again in a flash. Had a boutique vibe that was much nicer than the larger commercial hotels. Easy flat walk from the station which we managed fine despite extreme heat and heavy suitcases. 10/10!

N/A we loved everything! Only comment is that the pool is not huge. We adored it and the quieter, relaxed setting, but when multiple families and their kids are in the pool, it’s very crowded. You can’t dive or jump in the pool either, which suited us, but if you’re travelling as a family with young active kids, you’d be better suited staying somewhere like the Hilton that accommodates with larger pool area.

Location is PERFECT, very close to center of town, as well as bus tour meeting locations, restaurants, etc., yet when in the restaurant / pool area at the rear of the property, feels like you are miles away from the rush of the town...quiet, serene, peaceful, and the fruit trees (lemon, lime, pomegranate, etc.) in the garden area certainly help this feeling too! Location is right at the fringe of the ZTL, as long as you are careful and take the correct path, no need to enter the ZTL to arrive at the hotel. Every staff interaction was positive, from the first step inside the door, until we left...great people!

Honestly, nothing! Highly recommend this hotel.

The location is very near main square of town, so convenient and walking distance from local train station. Easy access to Naples and Pompeii. The breakfast was fantastic, usual bacon, eggs and European sausage. Cereals, fruit and a large array of pastries and cakes. Staff are very friendly and helpful.. They are there to help, but not overly pushy. The pool area was gorgeous, lots of sunbeds and a good size pool. There is a bar area and you can order light meals for lunch. Our bed room was classic Italian, traditional wooden furniture. Cleaning was exceptional.

We liked everything. BUT I would advise hotel to put room facilities on their website. We had a fridge mini bar and a kettle in our room. I had not expected this and was pleasantly surprised. So hotel should advertise their room features more.

I felt it was more suited to a city break hotel than for a holiday but it was in a great position. It was very expensive though for drinks etc although sorrento itself is a very expensive city. I thought some of the rules were a bit extreme, for instance a 20 euro fine for not handing back your towel card at the end of your stay when the towels were not going to cost 20 euros to replace. Not the best place for children but for an adult it was fine.

The staff were excellent at giving attention to our needs in a kind voice. The property and furnishings are excellent in every way. We will hope to return! Thank you for everything.

A few ( only a few) issues with the shower in the poolside room. Still lovely.

Staff were very friendly and always with a smile on their face. We loved the fact that the hotel is so close to everything i.e. Train and bus station and the port. The breakfast was delicious and with a vast variety of everything. We also enjoyed the traditional and local Easter cakes that they had on a daily basis during Easter.

Not that we didn’t like but the pool was still closed in April, only opened on the 26th and the water was stone cold so assuming not heated so if you visit the hotel before the end of April and want to enjoy the pool please bare this is mind.

Our rooms were located next to the breakfast room and kitchen and we were woke up every morning by the noise before 6am. The only bad thing to say about this hotel.

This hotel has a lot of history and is a most attractive place to stay. It is right in the centre of Sorrento, so it is ideally placed for exploring, day trips and getting to the railway station. The staff are very attentive but the hotel itself is slightly old-fashioned and could do with updating. Breakfast however, was absolutely superb. There is plenty on offer and lots of choice with fresh coffee and delicious pastries. Outside there are chairs and tables in a delightful garden where you can eat if preferred. There is also a large terrace at front of the main bar where you can have an evening drink and watch the world go by. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Several rooms have a large mirror across the main window in the bedroom, depending on where the bedroom is situated in the hotel, which stops people seeing in but also stops you opening the window. Unfortunately, there was quite a lot of noise in the building from the kitchen (which was near the bedroom) and also from outside. The room was very comfortable, but the decor could do with a bit of an update. There is no restaurant in the hotel for evening food. Italy does not do fresh milk! Everything is UHT, which is not good in tea.

Sorrento was our last stop before heading home, and Antiche Mura was a fantastic hotel selection and did not disappoint in any aspect. The location is outstanding, being in the very heart of downtown, the hotel itself is quite beautiful, and the room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and provided a fabulous view of the Valley of the Mills! Breakfast, which was held in a lovely light-filled room, was a luxurious spread of both hot and cold offerings, with many homemade pastries and marmalade from their own trees - and great coffee. The pool area is also lovely and set among lemon and orange trees and gorgeous flowers (although it was a bit cool to swim, we enjoyed the area). I would highly recommend the Antiche Mura!

The staff could have been a bit more accommodating when one of our party politely asked for a slightly better room - his window was situated so high up on the wall, it provided little light and no view at all, and their only response was to shrug and suggest he pay an additional 500e for a "better" room!

the gorgeous room … well appointed … balconies were terrific… so clean and serviced twice a day. breakfast brilliant. staff exceptional… they were exceedingly helpful (even helping us book and pay for our rail tickets). plus the central location was a bonus. loved the fact that I could book my excursions through the hotel months before my arrival … and everything was taken care of professionally. a great place to chill out under the Sorrento moon. PS must mention the pool area … I felt like a film star in my private Leon garden, with gorgeous waiters at my beck and call
