All breakfast things like cereal, milk, bread and marmalade, plus tea/coffee were provided free of charge. They even had a fruit bowl of bananas and apples etc., plus cake and buns to go with your hot drinks. Very impressed! The bathroom had a lovely shower in the bath and shampoo and shower gel was supplied. There was a fully-equipped kitchen and a cute little dining room with Van Gogh paintings all over the walls. Also, a large conservatory looking into the garden at the back of the house, with very comfortable chairs. In the garden were a table and parasol plus comfy wooded wicker-work chairs. It was so nice and relaxing to sit out in the garden or in the conservatory. The decor couldn't have been nicer.

Being able to do a quick load of washing and then iron it was a godsend. The breakfast of cereals and toast also very welcome. A four bed dorm means that disturbances are minimised. If you get to the property early enough you may get a parking space too.
Even though I have been before I still had trouble of locating the place, a combination of me being tired and the signage not being the most prominent.

Everything. Never been greeted by the host offering and making me a cup of tea before. AND cake too. Love that there was only two bunks in the room when 4 would have been possible but overcrowded
Nestle water and breakfast cereal. I boycott them for political and environmental reasons. The CEO of Nestle once publicly declared that clean water was not a basic human right. They have also aggressively promoted baby formula as a substitute for breastfeeding against the guidance of the WHO. Minor criticism considering everything else was so perfect.

Great hosts, nice comfortable property and a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Location suited me well for my weekend away with ample parking facilities available. Andrew was very helpful plus great communications!
Could do with a better full width window blind in the Bacon Bunk Room. The street lighting got in through a gap at the side of it during the night when sleeping in the upper bunk. Changed bunks the second night and got better night's sleep!

OK, this is a hostel, so it doesn't compare with a five star hotel, but Andrew gave me my own room, with bathroom, fluffy towels, free breakfast, and even a bathrobe, should I have wanted one, none of which you expect when you book a bunk in a hostel. He was very friendly and gave me a cuppa and a piece of cake when I arrived, which was much appreciated after a long drive.
Clearer signage from the road would have made it easier to find.

Loved the fact I've been made so welcome. Actually stayed for far longer than intended but it did not seem to be a problem at all. Out of town but not too far and just a nice place to recharge batteries.
Not much... There is not many options for buying provisions close by. But small price to pay for such a comfortable place to stop.

Good location and easy to find off A12/A14 in the suburbs. On street parking available in local streets. There was no reception due to self check-in.
Not much to say. Ticked all the boxes for me. Nice and easy, pitstop sleepover. Bathroom was a little bit dirty but nothing to o bad, due to hostel type of accommodation.

The host was very kind and amenable. I liked the fact that there was an oven and washing machine to use whenever.
There's not much to not like. Maybe the location but there is a decent bus service running early until late.

Andrew's communication was excellent. I was arriving later than expected and nothing was too much trouble for him. My stay was pleasant, straightforward and stress-free. I'd definitely return!

How modern but also rustic it is. Perfect amount of space. The area the property is in also ties in as it’s very quiet so if you want a nice quiet place to stay for a night or two this is the place.
Absolutely nothing. The room I had even had an en-suite toilet and a shower.
