Fabulous stay, travelled with my 10 year old son, the host was lovely and welcoming. Gave information about places to eat in the town, and helped us with a mini fridge in our room for his medicines. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully cooked, really tasty and nice and hot. Would definitely stay again. The ground floor twin was amazing with double opening doors onto our own private courtyard.
The room was so warm, we should have turned the rads off well before bed time, but by then the room was heated to toast. We couldn't open the window because it opened fully without a security lock to keep it open 'a bit'. We didn't want to fall asleep with a fully open window on the ground floor, but that might not bother other people. Do not let this put you off, just turn the rads off as soon as you are warm enough and the room stays toasty all night.

We were greeted by Paul, who gave us the lay of the land and took us to a beautiful room with a great view. Key system works great for ease of access anytime. The room and bath were large and very accommodating. Coffee, tea, and biscuits in the room and the lobby. We utilized the laundry service as we were on the last days of our trip and Sue did a wonderful job. The breakfast service was excellent as well. Easy walking distance to the harbor and heart of the town.

I have stayed at many places in Bangir, this suits me best. I appreciate: the welcome, the whole space, including the wallpaper in my room (depicting my favourite bird),the cleanliness, the food (the most delicious breakfast!), the quality of the coffee, the wifi, the parking, and proximity to the Marina and centre of Bangor. And the particular peacefulness of the environment.

Fantastic place to stay, location was fantastic, close to Belfast centre and a short walk to the marina. Such a welcoming arrival and beautiful place to stay, we had a lovely view
The beds were a little softer than I’d have liked, they had that cloud/marshmallow feel, but that’s only a preference, still a brilliant place to stay!

A bright, colourful and immaculately clean room with a super shower followed by an excellent breakfast. The welcome was warm and guidance about local restaurant options helpful. We enjoyed the residents' lounge after checkout for an hour's reading before leaving for the airport. Onsite parking very welcome.
All was good.

The location of Shellevan House is convenient. Parking is available on site. Restaurants and cafés in Bangor can be reached on foot withing 10-15 minutes. The train station is only a 10-minute walk, so you can leave your car at the guest house and travel by train to Belfast. The walk-in shower was a delight.

Paul and Sue, absolute gems. Made our hectic week come to a halt as soon as we stepped in. Facilities were honestly perfect (bathroom mirror with built in bluetooth made me go back to the younger me getting ready with music on) The bed was so comfortable we fell asleep as soon as we came back and stayed asleep for the whole night! Nice, cosy and welcoming is the best words I can use to describe the place. But let’s not forget about the view, proper breathtaking sea view.

Great location with parking. Easy check-in out of hours. Great communication from the owner. Clean, comfortable room with good coffee facilities. Could log in to Netflix when back after busy day of sightseeing. Great location for seeing Bangor - my 8yr old son loved Pickie Park and Ballyholme beach. Also east for getting train to Belfast for a day of sightseeing - 10min walk to station, half hour journey. We had a great stay here and would not hesitate to recommend.

Room was ideal for us on the ground floor and the landlady was very helpful on anything we needed help on. Bathroom in particular was huge and felt luxurious. The guest house was ideally located for access to the marina and was just a short walk.
Without a car it was sometimes a struggle for my mother to get to the train station etc but there were alternatives to walking.
