Room was very basic, but clean, bed comfortable, and nice balcony with partial ocean view. Breakfast had options and staff were very nice. My room was a single/twin and definitely only appropriate for one. Small big sufficient.

Directions for arrival were confusing. I didn’t catch that I needed to go to the restaurant to get the key. Frustrating after a long day. Also, the “stink bugs” ( not sure what you call them here) in the room would have creeped out unknown travelers. I am familiar with them so not concerned, but finding a few of them on my bed/in the room may not bode well for others.

The heating via the air-conditioning in November felt insufficient and noisy at night. The parking is a huge issue and we were given wrong information about parking within the white parking space resulting in a parking fine. If you don’t know the Italian system - solid white is ok and free (time restrictions might apply), interspaced white - forbidden parking :/, yellow exclusively for residents and blue is paid parking for visitors.

Adorable room with beautiful balcony overlooking the Ligurian Sea and the mountainside vineyards. Corniglia is the best kept secret in Cinqué Terre,mainly because it is quite a hike up the hill from the train station. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the outside terrace included in the very reasonable price of the room. We so enjoyed hiking fromCorniglia to other villages in Cinque Terre and then returning in the afternoon to our adorable little room for wine and snacks on our balcony. The staff and entire town were beautiful and kind. I cried when we left❤️

3 flights with luggage and no lift. No laundry facilities but still so worth it!

Staff was pleasant and available but never intrusive. Rooms were clean and spacious. We traveled during a rainy period and were please to find very few people on the trails but enough restaurants open.

The rooms are in the center of a very small Italiian village which is not accessible by car. We found parking up the street on the road. Fee is 20 Euros per day. Once we parked we did not need the car again until we left for Parma. It would be difficult if you have mobility issues.

My room was definitely small, but had what I needed in it. The bonus was a small terrace that I could watch a sunset and look at the ocean and a door that is glass so when you’re laying in bed, you see those beautiful sites. I didn’t interact much with staff, but whomever I did I found very helpful and considerate. It seems to be owned by one of the coffee bars near the room and then they also have a terrace where you can have food and drinks, and also look out at the sea for the sunset. Great location!

The staff at il Magan were absolutely fantastic and made this magical place feel even more special. Between the amazing location, an amazing view from the terrace (which was unfortunately being renovated during my stay), delicious breakfast and an incredibly helpful set of staff, my stay couldn’t have gone any better. The beds were incredibly comfortable which made for a great night’s sleep, and made it tempting to lay there instead of going out exploring! When I come back to Corniglia, I’ll have to stay with this hotel again.

I loved the place entirely. There was a slight issue which was my fault, but the owner quickly introduced himself and we were able to fix it together. Thank you!

I would say the room is fairly small but all we needed for our stay in Cinque Terre. We enjoyed the daily free breakfast on the terrace. We felt the room was very clean and they were welcoming upon arrival.

The only thing we were somewhat disappointed in was the lack of a view. Yes you could see the sea standing up on the balcony, but it was mostly blocked by a neighboring building. Just not quite what we thought we had gotten. But overall a good stay and nice to sit on the balcony.

The room and bathroom were updated and clean. Very nice floors. The space was very well organized for a small space. It fit all my belongings perfectly. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony has a nice view of the sea. I loved how the new glass door could open for access to the balcony or tilt open as a window to allow the fresh sea air come in. The included breakfast is delicious and served on a patio with amazing views of the sea. Corniglia is amazing and Il Magan is so nice. My room was perfect for a solo traveler. I would definitely stay here again!

A set of hooks in the bedroom would be helpful. Having a place to hold luggage before and after checkout would also be very helpful. A small fold out bedside table would be nice. I used a fold up cube that I travel with. But there’s nothing I did not like about il Magan.

Fabulous views of the Cinque Terra coastline from our room and the hotel restaurant. Good central location close to restaurants yet very quiet. Loved the quaint historical atmosphere of the hotel which was typical of Corniglia. Breakfast was substantial and served with a fabulous view of the hillside and ocean. Staff were friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the hotel. Beware luggage has to be carried to the hotel from the bus stop for about 300m over cobblestones so avoid heavy or bulky luggage.

Excellent! Incredible view from my single room balcony; hotel is very nice and clean, the location is in the most beautiful part of Corniglia just 3 minutes walk to the view terrace! Nice and tasty breakfasts served on the hotel's terrace with the sea view!
