We chose this particular hotel due to proximity to Loyola (for a college tour) and it was a perfect location. Literally across the street. Nice area! The staff were very friendly and courteous. Being right in town, it was very quiet, and we did not hear much from our room. Bathroom was very nice and spacious. Breakfast was good, really nice variety of hot/cold items. We had a view of another rooftop but even it was pleasantly nice with some grassy areas and a pair of geese and two babies! We also really appreciated that check out was noon. Not many places allow that late of a check out but it allowed us to do our tour and get back to get our things before checking out. IF you are coming to visit Loyola, you will not be disappointed staying here!

It's not terrible but I wasn't aware that valet parking was the only option for $46. It may have said that when I booked and I didn't notice but something to keep in mind when choosing. There is no other option for parking unless you are lucky enough to find something on the street. However, at least I had reassurance that my car was safe.

Location close to subway station. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Valet parking. Pet friendly. Accomodating, very polite and professional staff with the exception of one night shift manager who was dealt with swiftly after I brought up the issue to staff in the morning. Neighborhood is near a college campus and feels safe and secure even at night. A few blocks from Lake Michigan and the beach. Overall, it was a good stay for a few days to explore Chicago. Definitely recommend staying here.

Loved the room. Large bathroom. Wonderful room. Nice breakfast. Staff very nice and somewhat helpful (see above).

No hand soap in bathroom (there was at next Hampton Inn we stayed at..Burr Ridge) . Crummy, cheap toilet paper. No note paper to write on. Couldn't set up closed captioning on TV. Called front desk...they gave us wrong advice. View of machinery on 2nd floor out of window. Would have preferred in room directory (not scan on cell phone). Parking was bad...only valet available. Luckily, we found a spot on the street. No unloading area.

I loved that I was able to check in, en route from the airport, on my phone. I was also able to obtain a room key during the transaction as well, so upon my arrival, I was greeted by guest services and immediately went up to my room. No stress or hassle. The room was clean and comfortable (no hair found in the linens or bathroom). The shower was fantastic. I definitely look forward to staying again.

The breakfast was great and offered a small variety of hot food each day. The rooms were very clean when we arrived and the street wasn't very loud at night.

I must have misread the amenities on booking.com because I thought there was separate parking separate from valet, but there wasn't. The valet service was also a little expensive, but I'm not sure what the typical Chicago rate is.

The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. 10 stars for such a well designed bathroom. Great storage and counter space!! The lobby was welcoming and cozy with a fireplace.

The only thing that wasn't to my liking was the hvac in our room. My body temperature runs hot so I had the A/C on, however it turns off periodically in the night which left me too warm and when it kicked on again it woke me up.

Night reception clerk was very unfriendly and unapproachable I stood outside for 10 minutes because I couldn't get in with my key card and run the Bell three times and did not get a response came down to go check out and had to go find her and knock on the door because there was nobody around if something was to happen there at night nobody would know cuz the night time cork is never at the desk

The stay at the hotel was fantastic! Public transportation (bus & metro) are available all the time and allow you to get to Downtown Chicago while having a nice view of the area, even when the hotel is not close to the city center. Lake Michigan is 2 minute walk away from the hotel. The area is surrounded by stores and restaurants. Facilities are super clean, breakfast is really good and staff is 100% friendly. Super recommended.

My son has food allergies and there wasn’t much on the free breakfast that he could eat. Milk alternative would have been good as only alternative was Almond milk but no good for someone with a dairy and nut allergy.

The breakfast in the morning is outstanding as well! If you don’t have time to sit and eat, they make to go bags with water and fruit and either a bagel, or pastry! The rooftop is a must see! It will take your breath away looking out towards the city at night! I will definitely be returning!

There were a few simple mistakes made on housecleaning’s part, but besides that the stay was great!
