The location is perfect. Great space in the room to unpack (dresser) and hang clothes (closet) and even two full length mirrors for the two of us to check our looks before leaving. This is my second time staying here and I love it!

The smell of the hallway on our floor was very unsettling. Smelled like… a cats litter box? Or like a dead grandparents home.. as if the carpet was moldy. Strangely the stairwell and lobby and room did not smell like this, just the hallways. Could do with an air freshener plugged into just one outlet. Also the elevator wasn’t working the last day and a half so that was just a bit annoying after walking around all day having to climb stairs but obv that is not the norm so I don’t consider it a deterrent for booking again.

Room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the patio out front was excellent for relaxing

The elevator was out of service the entire time we were there, which was quite hard on my wife's knees going up and down stairs. However, the hotel voluntarily comped us for one night to compensate us for the trouble. I would have rated them much lower had they not done this.

The breakfast was delicious and had the hallways smelling like you were walking into a bakery in the mornings. Our room was much larger than a traditional 2 full bed single room and was homey. The location was perfect for where we were traveling to but also a great location to experience the shops and this area of Chicago.

We weren't aware of the parking fee per night. Maybe an oversight on my part but nonetheless, it wasn't horrible or something that I would refuse to pay but just to be aware to have some extra money to cover it.

It appears these are reclaimed buildings. The room had wood floors which made for a cleaner environment. I stayed in a king suite which was set up like a studio apartment with a great kitchenette, couch, wardrobe, television, and double vanity. It was a cozy stay. The hotel is also located in an active neighborhood about a 15 minute walk to the lake!

The hotel was a bit expensive and far from the city center. It required a walk, bus, and train ride to reach most destinations.

The staff were helpful and accommodating, particularly since it was Christmas weekend. We very much appreciated how clean it was. The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect.

Our window didn't have any blinds. That would probably be the only issue we had with privacy. The bed seemed to sink a bit, which caused us some back issues, but we both felt it was comfortable otherwise. The temp in the room was quite warm, but we were able to figure out how to make the heat/ac work.

Comfortable bed, clean room, fridge and microwave were convenient.

Dirty scum in hot tub made it unusable, very disappointing. Room on ground floor noisy, hammering and drill from utility room on weekend, slamming doors from gym, not well insulated from sound. Groundfloor rooms look out 18" to a fence!

The location of this property cannot be beat. This is my second time staying here, and given its proximity to friends, family and the Broadway corridor, I imagine it will not be my last. The hotel is perfect for what it is. If you are expecting luxurious, you will be disappointed. This is a clean, convenient, comfortable stay for anyone looking for a hotel in this north side neighborhood.

The original room I was given had drawers that rolled out by themselves and a very noisy heater by the bed that would not have allowed a good night's sleep. The staff checked it out, agreed and gave me room 205 I believe. It was so nice and perfect and I truly appreciated their quick and kind resolution.

The charming atmosphere with gardens out front. Having breakfast outside was wonderful.

Elevator wasn’t working. Made it hard on elderly couples! Front staff offered help “ if we needed it”. I would have liked them to just take charge and take them up the stairs.

The location was excellent. Easy to the bus system or a quick walk to places to eat.

Struggle with the high taxes in Chicago. The cost of the room was high but compared to others, it was quite reasonable. The taxes were almost half of the room price.
