The accommodation is fantastic. We’ve stayed before under previous ownership and it has exceeded our expectations from our previous stay. The staff were so warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us. The cafe below and garden centre in itself would be worth a visit but staying above was even better and the use of the facilities. This is a particularly special part of the country for my husband and I and we absolutely love staying here. We won’t hesitate to book again for any future visits.

Fantastic place to stay, its like being at a home a way from home. Id say it is like/ if not better than most 4/5 star properties in the UK. We traveled on a motorbike, Liz greeted us and was very informative and showed us where to find everything. The room had the perfect set up for our kit, plenty space for helmets, panniers and jackets. The room was clean and tidy with a good tv, coffee machine, the bed was super comfy, not too soft. The rooms heating was perfect and it was easy to open windows. Its a really quite place which was lovely and moat needed for a trip away, parking is easy to find and the small shop attached had a decent shop attached.
There was nothing, it was a great stay.

As a B and B this place is unique. We were taken to garden centre cafe where we could eat before going to our room. En-suite room, very comfortable but also we had use of communal room and kitchen which was an added bonus. Staff in all aspects of the building…cafe, shop, garden centre were friendly and nothing was too much to ask of them. Good breakfast and at our request, they made us ham rolls for our journey on the day we left.
Nine am breakfast was a little late for us. We prefer earlier but that’s our own preference.

We liked absolutely everything 😊 this is a 5* b+b and more. The room was amazing, we got up graded but all the rooms and facilities were fantastic. Breakfast was outstanding, taken in the cafe downstairs. The bed was so comfortable, I arrived with a sore back and left so much better. All the staff were friendly and helpful particularly George who took the time to advise us on places to see and visit and where to get the best evening meals, thank you.
That we weren't able to stay for longer

Room was extremely spacious much more than we were expecting, with two proper comfortable chairs and a table etc. You have the use of a huge lounge / well equipped kitchen area with oven, microwave fridge and dishwasher! Staff left us two Ploughman's Platters in the fridge which we ate inside the large glasshouse at the rear of the house which is part of the connected Garden Centre, such a treat. Breakfast cooked to order in the attached cafe was superb.
Parking a bit tight in the road outside, but not a big issue.

Situated in a lovely quiet village. We stayed in the “ Hay Loft” which is extremely comfortable with it,s own small kitchen . The house is situated in a lovely garden centre which guests have access to to in the evening when everyone has gone home. There is also a very good cafe which serves breakfast for the house guests and will also provide cold platters for evening meals. There is also a well stocked shop with food and gifts.
Nothing.

This is the perfect place to enjoy everything Kintyre has to offer. The owner and staff can’t do enough to please you. The accommodation is immaculate, cosy and comfortable, with every thing you need - and more. The bed was very comfortable and the food superb. There’s a large private lounge and a full kitchen if you want to cook yourself. Or you can sit in the greenhouse at the garden centre (even after hours) and watch the sun set. And it’s all dog friendly! A perfect choice.

Very comfortable room. Well equipped. Easy parking outside. Next door to well-equipped shop and cafe where breakfast was served. Good location for Tarbert ferry to Islay and also ferry for a day trip to Gigha.
Breakfast times started at 8.30 and could have been earlier to accommodate people catching ferry to Islay. But they did give us a good breakfast bag ( which was like a packed lunch). Location is a bit remote and the shop closes at 4pm so book breakfast bags in advance if you have an early start and eat before arriving/ book somewhere for evening meal. Argyll Hotel was good and great location on beach not far from Glenbarr.

This is a great place to stay at! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom huge. Breakfast was amazing and the staff was so welcoming and nice, that we regretted planning to stay just one night! We arrived early and were able to leave our bags in the room before going to Campbeltown and coming back at night. The location was good for us as we wanted to leave early the following day, but it is a bit far from Campbeltown.

Excellent breakfast with choices for all needs and tailored to requests if necessary .. Well placed location to explore Kintyre in its entirety .. Well equipped shared kitchen to self cater, if required ..Clean and comfortable accomodation
For some, it might be an issue that there is only one place to eat out , about 1.5 miles away. Wasn’t an issue for me on my own with a dog ..
