The room was huge with fantastic views across Campbeltown Loch. There was plenty of storage space for clothes, the bathroom was very clean and there was a desk for my laptop. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for other travellers. The food was also excellent, especially the evening meals. There was a garden at the front with benches and I wish we'd used it on the first day when the weather was great.
The only negative I would say is the evening meals would sometimes take up to an hour to be served. But the food was excellent and all home-cooked, so we didn't mind waiting for the meals as it gave time to build up an appetite. The views from the dining room were also spectacular.

Lovely fresh fruit salad and lots of other choice for breakfast. Room Service available. Rooms are absolutely beautiful, well designed and very comfortable. Roger and Lori are the loveliest owners - very helpful and such good historians about the hotel, which they have refurbished to very high standards.
The weather! Out of the Craigard’s control - I’m sure they would have improved it if they could!

We paid extra for the room on the front which was well worth it! The room was excellent, very spacious, fantastic view of the sea and the building itself is beautiful, it was a perfect location for the reason we where visiting which was for the springbank distillery, the hotel staff/owners where really lovely.
We had prior booked for the evening meal as the food seemed to look good after looking up some views, but this night (can’t speak for everyone) the food was not up the standard of the price we had paid, the seafood starter was beautiful but mine and my husbands mains where disappointing unfortunately.

Craigard House Hotel is a nice example of a traditional house hotel. Our room was very nicely appointed but quite cramped. Breakfast was very good, but the dining room also was literally stuffed with tiny tables. I did really enjoy the firm and comfy bed and the large soaking tub in the bathroom.
We felt that the atmosphere was a tad tired and in need of a refresh. In particular the dining room and entry lobby were old, cluttered, and run-down looking.

There was a pleasant Victorian/Edwardian atmosphere enhanced by Christmas decorations. This made these premises very inviting during some horrendous weather conditions - Storm Darragh. Lovely views over Campbeltown Loch.
There was nothing I did not like but as part of constructive criticism, how about putting handles on or near the en suite baths to assist the ability to get in and out a little more easily.

The staff were warm and friendly, and we even got to throw a ball for the resident dog! Our room was very comfortable, and had everything we needed and more. The place had a lovely home from home feel, and is beautifully maintained. It's a lovely walk into town. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, best we have had! Thank you.
Nothing! Thanks for a great stay.

The food is absolutely exceptional. I enjoyed dinner both nights of my stay and found it full of fresh, tasty ingredients. The chef is to be commended. The menu is wide-ranging, catering for all tastes, but I would recommend the fish and shellfish dishes.
There was nothing to dislike. I would certainly return. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great location. Had a small single room, bed was excellent - best sleep I had in ages!! Check in and out was very easy. Friendly staff and parking onsite.
Really long wait for evening meal. Not sure if unexpected number of diners or short staffed in the kitchen, but 2hrs from asking for a table to being served food was not good after a long day of traveling.

Lovely Old Building but needs more lighting at the entrance no lights to indicate where reception entrance was😌I am slightly biased disabled I use a walking stick for balance, but not being able to see well it made me apprehensive and unsteady. Maybe the property would use a very cheap LED up lighting in colour day s nice warm light glow to make the best of appearances to such a beautiful building.
Clean.

Location, view, parking were all great. The room size was good and bathroom was big. Lots of products available to use and the small hair dryer was powerful. Beautiful building. Breakfast was lovely with a large menu, and coffee was good.
Price is a little expensive but appears to be similar to other local places. The shower and bathroom extraction were a little anemic, neither were very powerful or effective. Shower was hard to regulate either hot or cold.
