Location was fantastic, staff were excellent and the room was lovely and clean. Pillows were fantastic.

The mattress was terrible, the springs were poking through and a mattress topper had been put in top in the attempt to make it better. The whole mattress should have been replaced and then the experience would have been perfect. As it stood, it was the only thing letting this accommodation not get rated 5 stars. I had a sore back every morning and a broken sleep, as did my wife. Please replace it for the next guests. Thanks

Good for solo traveller, location was excellent and easy to find. Staff went out of their way to sort out room issue and moved me to another room. Kitchen facilities were good, quiet location. View to Holy Island -lovely! And the creation of wildflower meadows around the site were also very nice.

Rooms were a bit pricey for what you got. Mattress a little lumpy but manageable. Although kitchen was spacious, if there was a group cooking, it was difficult to get in the kitchen. Could use more info on laundry facilities.

Really friendly welcome from staff. We arrived a day later than planned and communication around this was straightforward. We were offered an extra night’s stay to make up for losing out on our first night. The room and bathroom are not luxurious, but they are functional and clean. The shared kitchen/dining room is modern and has all the essentials. The location is beautiful, with great views of Holy Island. It is a short walk from the shore where you can watch seals and various birds (eg herons).

The shared kitchen is maybe a little small for the number of people who could be staying there.

This was a great value in a location with a great view. The rooms are tiny but have all you need for sleeping and showering..they are truly sleep huts. You have access to a great kitchen in the main lodge and can store and cook food there. This worked well for us as we were gone all day and could purchase and prepare our own food instead of restaurants for every meal. If you are outdoorsy and self sufficient, this place is for you. Even though small they think of everything...even had an iron and ironing board. Plentiful parking.

Rooms close together so you hear people on the walkway but everyone was quiet and polite.

The property itself was exceptional. While the hut has a simple, tourist-standard feel, it had everything we needed: comfortable beds, heating, a kettle with coffee and tea bags, ample space and lighting, and an easy-to-use bathroom. The staff worked hard and were always helpful, though sometimes a bit unobtrusive—not intrusive, but easy to find if needed. There’s plenty of open space around the property, with tables in front of the huts and a beautiful view of the Holy Islands. The garden with outdoor seating is perfect for an evening drink. Parking is spacious, the kitchen is fully equipped and always spotless, and the lounge room creates a great atmosphere. It was easy to meet other wonderful guests, just like you.

Our stay here was very pleasant. We had a room on an upper level in the lodge that had a window view facing the Holy Isle. We loved sitting by the window and watching the sun set over the harbour. The room was pleasant with space to move around while accommodating two suitcases. The toilet being separate to the shower is handy. We did not utilise the cooking facilities downstairs to comment on the facilities available. There is a lovely garden space which you can sit in and enjoy a cuppa or breakfast. This too has a view to the ocean. The Arran Lodge is within walking distance to Lamlash Bay beach and further up the road you can reach some restaurants and small shops. I've seen seals basking on the rocks on Lamlash beach closer to Arran Lodge. Interactions with staff are limited on arrival - otherwise you are left to your own devices. The facilities met our needs and comfortability.

One minor point of feedback is the request to strip the beds upon leaving the premises. More and more I find hotels are asking guests to complete tasks you would ordinarily expect to be completed within overall room management when clientele leave the premises.

Tracey was fabulous. Communal kitchen was well kitted out. Many fridges to store wine/beers, food. We were in room 14 which was massive and had a great bay window providing a wonderful view. Everything very clean and comfortable.

Opportunity for improvement. No toilet on ground floor so when enjoying the view from the patio area overlooking the sea, you have to walk all the way back upstairs to your room (we were in room 14 which was a great room) to use your own toilet. Not great after a couple of beers. No hot water coming out of shower on the morning of checkout and nobody in office to speak to about it.

I had a sea view room, and it was superb. Direct view of the Holy Isle and the Bay of Lamlash. It was a single en-suite room and more spacious than many I’ve stayed in. Great to have adjustable heating and excellent communal cooking facilities, although I didn’t use them. Very convenient restaurants in Lamlash and it was only 3 miles from Brodick. I would recommend staying in Lamlash and the Lodge room was perfect for me. I hope to return in September with friends. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It wasn’t a problem but there was no lift in the Lodge, which is very common in older buildings. I was on the first floor and could manage the stair and one of the team kindly offered to take my small case upstairs for me. It will not stop me from returning on a future visit.

We were a group travelling together so the sleep huts served our purpose. Quite basic, but all we needed. Beds were comfortable, and clean, and the new kitchen was amazing!( once we were shown how to work appliances!) The drying room was very handy after our walks, as the weather could have been better. Great location, fabulous views over Holy Isle,. And staff were very helpful. We would return in the future.

Although small, the single bedroom (in the Lodge) is perfect for a solo traveller. Very clean, comfortable, amazing view, excellent kitchen facilities. Quiet and peaceful when staying in the lodge. Handy location for getting the bus to/from ferry. Beach is right at the bottom of the driveway.

Very steep driveway for walking up. Could do with a better shower but almost no accommodation has a decent shower so this accommodation is not unsusal in that.
