Good central but peaceful location. Staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive even during particularly busy periods. Food freshly cooked and good choice of gluten free options. Delicious breakfast with lovely fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, juices as well as several freshly cooked choices. Fabulous whisky bar with extensive whisky menu, served professionally. Rooms clean and beds comfortable.

Rooms in the annex to main hotel were a short walk away and fairly small but comfortable with a good shower and tea/coffee making facilities. Some biscuits would have been appreciated and a shelf in the bathroom area would have been useful for toiletries.

I have been visiting the Ardshiel Hotel for several years now and for the reasons I explained on your survey ,will continue to return.I feel that all the staff from the cleaners ,reception and front house do a great job and for many I am treated as a friend as well as a regular customer.The hotel itself is in a great location and offers extremely comfortable rooms and the food choice and standard is exceptional.

Very comfy bed and well appointed room. Friendly and efficient front desk staff. Great restaurant, but the staff there may need a little more training. However, food was delicious and the staff were very approachable, so still impressed overall. Some great menu options and a well stocked bar. Perfect location if you come in off the ferry. Easy walk into town. Park nearby for kids. Lovely flowers on grounds.

We had an exceptional and unforgettable stay from the moment we entered the hotel, and everything was wonderful. All the staff were wonderful, especially the young man at the reception. They offered us tours that were very enjoyable to visit the pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, Alexandria, and the White Desert, accompanied by our guide (Marwa). He met all our needs and it was an excellent experience. Very enjoyable, and the view of the rooftop from the top was very good, especially the Bedouin tent. I loved everything there. I recommend it.

Staff were all amazing. Breakfasts and evening meals first class. Whisky bar most impressive. All bar staff were very knowledgeable about local distilleries (and others). The bedroom was clean and comfortable, and the en suite had a great shower. Great location. Small town so everything was easily accessible on foot. Local airport access a bonus (from Glasgow).

Only had 4 days.... could have stayed longer.

The main building is a classic, old Scottish townhouse type property. Lovely entrance, extensive bar, comfortable and relaxed dining areas. My room was a small double in the main building and although the décor is a bit dated everything was very clean and comfortable. I slept soundly. Good, hot, new shower. Susie checked me in, served me dinner and drinks and breakfast in the morning. She’s a star. Most charming, welcoming and helpful staff I’ve met in a hotel in a few years.

Fantastic traditional hotel with beautiful Fittings & elegant broad staircase with solid treads easy to climb even with a stick. charming, friendly staff who work efficiently & professionally. I love the biggest single malt whiskey collection in any hotel ever seen. Reading the labels can take a long time / but the whiskey menu is easier & informative. Chef excellent too. To me the Ardshiel, Flora, Marion & their caring team is the Mull of Kintyre.

Very helpful staff, very good food - and a very broad selection of whisky in the bar, very much a home from home. Nothing was too much for the staff to do to help – I witnessed very supportive and instructive management – a model for many.

There appeared to be no lift to the top floor – meaning that a heavy case had to be carried out a number of flights of stairs – it is in the nature of the building, it is old - but very warm....has charm, and clearly there is difficulty in installing a lift to such a prestigious building.

From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn't do enough for us. We were late arriving, but they still made sure we could get something to eat . The location was excellent. Rooms were lovely, and it felt like home. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with great quality food. Will definitely be back again.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. The hotel is near the centre of Campbelltown which was very convenient as we were Travelling by bus and going to an event in the Town Hall for 2 nights. The hotel had everything we needed from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. From arrival to enjoying our packed lunch on the bus on the way home we could not have had a better trip.
