Lovely Hotel in a fantastic location.( Close walking distance to the centre, yet away from the crowd) Very nice breakfast and the staff in the reception were very helpfull. There are tables on the front of the hotel which you can use to enjoy your own bottle of wine bought in the shop nearby :-)

We couldn t have asked for a better location-just a few minutes walk from both the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark s Square. Our room offered an unforgettable view of the charming Santa Maria Formosa square and church, which truly added to the magic of our stay. The staff were exceptional-warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. A special thank you to Elena, who was so helpful and kind, and also provided us with Biennale Architecture maps, knowing that the Biennale was the main reason for our trip to Venice with my daughter. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

Lots of mosquitoes

The hotel was ideally located . The staff were exceptional,friendly, helpful, professional and there was always someone there. The breakfast, continental as expected, was delicious and plentiful. The cleaning staff worked to a high standard. Our room was spotless. Clean towels and bed made every day! This is an older hotel so decor etc is in keeping with the history.

If I had a negative to give, it would have to be no tea/ coffee in the room!!! Maybe this is just an English thing 🤔. There isn't a bar but they do provide a drinks and snacks machine that offers wine, prosecco or cans of lager. There were no glasses provided but I'm sure the staff would sort that if asked. A shame there wasn't a slightly bigger lounge area to sit with a glass of wine after a busy day sightseeing! Be prepared for some noise from the busy square in front of the hotel! I wouldn't describe this as a negative though. However, al these are minor things that won't spoil your stay.

Decor was nice, the location was central, the hotel desk was open 24/7, tables and seating was available for meals and cocktails outdoors

It was cold in the room because the weather was colder than normal. Elevator was very small, with limited luggage space but it was conveniently located.

Perfect location, central but not too central, busy but not too busy. Very picturesque setting. Good size rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff - always greeted with smiles and politeness. Rooms and hotel immaculately clean.

Could have done with a kettle, but only a minor niggle. Some noise but unavoidable within a city. A couple of midges in the room but there were repellent plugs we found in a drawer for 2nd night onwards.

The location was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

We have stayed only one night at the end of January. The location is bigger walk from Piazzale Roma - about 40-45 minutes with luggage. At the same time then it is very close to main sights - less than 10 minutes walk. The little square and surrounding was very quiet in the evening and at night. The hotel was clean - elevator is tiny. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You may leave your luggage on departure day at the reception. Breakfast had a good variety and also strong in non sweet options. I was really sorry, we took only one night, so only one breakfast there. The breakfast is small, so maybe in more crowded times it can be a problem. There are also some vending machines to but little snacks and water. Really had great stay at this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Scandinavia! The location is perfect — tucked away in a charming square but still just a short walk from all the main sights. The room was clean, comfortable, and full of Venetian character. A special thank you to Elena at the front desk, who was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She made us feel so welcome and went out of her way to assist with directions and recommendations. Her kindness truly made a difference in our experience. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice — we’d love to come back!
