Good location, breakfast was very nice, bar seemed fun (but didn’t go). The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

I am familiar with a “wet room” concept for a bathroom, but a flimsy curtain to separate the shower seemed way below the cost per night (around €500!). Asking for a tip on the bill was also borderline insulting.

Our Suite was beyond our expectation. The setting over looking the canal with our own Juliet balcony was just incredible. The entire hotel experience was one of the best we have ever experienced. The staff was extremely helpful guiding us where to eat, what to eat and nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect allowing us ease of access to nearby restaurants, sites and must see places. Breakfast was more than adequate and served in pleasant surroundings. The details and quality of buildings was just incredible.

Getting to the hotel initially was a bit problematic. Partly we did not fully understand the challenge of using the ferry from the railway station and then walking from the drop off with luggage trying to find the hotel. The streets can be quite confusing upon your first arrival, busy and narrow. Please take note of the various options provided by the hotel when you book to ensure a easy arrival at the hotel. If you want to book private transport you need to arrange it at least 24 hours in advance.

3rd time in Venice and this place specifically was the BEST location for everything you want to see. The Hotel itself is steeped in 600+ years of history and absolutely beautiful. Breakfast has more than you could ask for and staff are very friendly!! Bed in my room was phenomenal!! The rooms in general are a very good size, bathrooms are all marble and come with very nice complimentary toiletries .. can not fault this place in anyway at all.

That Venice has allowed a mass increase in market stalls run by non Italians, DO NOT support them. They are importing fake cheap junk that will only end up in a landfill... If you see small shops 3-5 of them all together, selling coloured glass, then it is cheap 3D printed junk. BUY your glass if you want from Murano, buy it from where it comes from. The Day water bus ticket which is more than worth it costs 25 EUR for 24 hours, you can get on any line and go and see everything. If you want nice hats, Panama Sombrero (which are very popular) find a shop run by an Italian. Support Italian shops for Italians, and support Venice shops for the Venetians.

The staff at the reception desk, the staff at breakfast and the staff in the Bat bar. We didn't really see the room cleaning staff other than in passing. The breakfast was well stocked and there was lots on offer. The location was perfect! I use a walking stick and the fact that the hotel was so well placed to the areas we wanted to go to, that I know on our next visit to Venice, we would like to stay there again. The bar had a lovely selection of such a variety of drinks too.

For the 4 nights we were there the room was smaller than what we might have liked, but we made do.

This was our second stay at Hotel Ai Cavalieri. The hotel is beautiful, with each room decorated differently . The rooms are very spacious and traditionally decorated. The hotel is quiet and very elegant. Staff is exceptional and work to meet our every request. Very nice breakfast. We give it our highest recommendation.

I really enjoyed the old world feel of the hotel. A few minutes walk from rialto - the hotel is located in the Santa Maria Formoso parish. Worth taking a water taxi from Marco Polo to arrive there if it’s your first time to appreciate the site of Venice from the water. The quiet parish of Santa Maria Formosa a major advantage as it is close to everything but away from main sites so not too noisy during day or night. Lots of cute side streets and canals that you can get lost on. The hotel service was impeccable. Friendly front of house who were helpful with reservations and recommending local food and bakeries (all recommendations excellent and authentic). Kind concierge, helpful pointing out room features. We were upgraded and provided a lovely terrace with no big fanfare which was charming. Small details were appreciated like complimentary Prosecco, sweets, bottled water. The cleanliness and turn down service impeccable. Breakfast was a generous continental affair and served in a lovely room with wonderful original ceiling and Venetian glass features. The breakfast staff were very accommodating and smiley. Given how crazy Venice was during the weekend of carnival and how utterly disrespectful some tourists are towards Venetian heritage, everyone remained so friendly that I really was impressed. I honestly think off season only way to visit Venice - I imagine it can be too packed in summer. Best advice to avoid crowds - take yourself off beaten track and head across rialto bridge past fish market for some wonderful ciccihetti. It’s really a beautiful city and worth a 3-4 day visit. We spent 3 days there and did not see half of it.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The air-conditioning was great, in the peak summer that I visited. I had searched for months to book a good hotel in Venice and easily accessible by airport. After booking and canceling many, I ended up with this one without having much expectations. But to my surprise, it turned out to be very good.

It was a bit difficult for me to walk to the hotel on the first day from the Rialto station. Though it says it's a 10-minute walk, but it was not handy with the narrow lanes of Venice and a few bridges to cross with luggage.

Hotel itself is gorgeous. It’s a palacio style property sitting with the canal on one side and the other side on a pathway where both St Marks Square and the Rialto bridge are within easy reach. The staff are super helpful -both on the front desk, the restaurant and everyone you come into contact with during the day. Rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent and made for a great start to the day. If you want a special treat, do book a private water taxi tour or even the water taxi transport to and from the airport. It was the most efficient way to get around as well as being a real treat.

Everything is lovely. No complaints!

Very helpful staff assisted in the website to book car parking prior to visiting Venice. There was also luggage storage almost next door so we didn’t need to take any large suitcases. A water taxi was great value for 3 people & dropped us off at the hotel front door. The hotel was amazing. We would definitely stay there again. Walking distance to all main attractions as long as you don’t get lost ( which is part of the charm of Venice)

Could not fault anything. If you are on a budget it may be a little expensive but if you want to treat yourself it’s worth every cent.
