Location was great! Easy short ferry ride from the train station then about a 5 minutes walk through the narrow streets of Venice. Very close to the Rialto Bridge (5 minutes) and about the same to St Marks Square. Surrounded by numerous restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and shops. There are 3 sets of steps across bridges between the ferry stop and the location and then narrow steep steps to the upstairs rooms once at the location. This would be the same for most places in Venice. We had a Canal view and had 2 windows that were directly above the canal, between 2 lovely bridges. Great to be able to look out the window at gondolas and other boats passing. The room was spacious and clean. There is no airconditioner for cooling, only for heating. This wasn’t a problem for our stay in April. Reception is a couple of doors down from the hotel and is only open 10am to 3pm. If you plan to leave luggage after checkout, it is only possible till 3pm.

The location as it was close to where we needed to be for our day tour and also a nice walk to shops and restaurants and cafés.

We could clearly hear one of the rooms as if they were in the same room as us. As previously mentioned in other reviews the 3 flights of stairs are narrow and steep.

We had a large corner room top floor (no elevator) with windows and views down two canals. There are seven rooms total and a small kitchenette (used to be the breakfast room) available. It was a nice traditional room in an old building. Fair shower, hair dryer. Excellent location in a neighborhood with laundry, drugstore, grocery, deli and Vino Sfuso. Lots of plugs, good WiFi, refrigerator, coffee maker, AC. Friendly hosts, willing to help. Great price. We will stay again. *NOTE they have a "sister" hotel, entrance next door, with rooms on the second floor. It "looks more traditional" inside the room, but they have no AC.

This place we stayed was great! The women on reception who greeted us was very polite and lovely! The room was good value for money! Spacious, clean, had mirrors and a desk and everything you needed really. The room was cleaned daily with no issues and the view was great! Bathroom was also good with a big shower area, powerful shower and hot water. Also has aircon and heating that worked great! Would definitely stay here again!

Only downsides of this place was the light over the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work nor did the one in the shower. Bed was not overly comfy And 3 flights of stairs to go up None of this was really an issue I would still recommend and stay again

The room was huge and very comfortable with a wonderful view of the canal, the room was cleaned and towels etc replenished daily, the aircon was exceptional as it was hot while i was there. The Location is great, very close to all main tourist spots but just enough tucked away for it to be quiet at night.

the shower was the only thing that wasn't great, the power wasn't very good and it was hard to get the temperature right. There were 48 steps to climb to my room on the third floor which was ok for me as i am fit but for an elderly or unfit person the stairs would have been difficult, perhaps this should be made a little clearer on booking.com

The area was perfect. 5 minutes walk to the center. Beautiful view to canal. Big traditional Venetian room. Fridge in the room ( german hotels don't have) big bathroom and big shower cabin. Keep safe our luggage before and after check in- out. Very gentle ladies in reception and always respond immediately and positive to telefone calls. And many much more.

Heating was good but a bit not strong, maybe needs a bit cleaning of the filter and general service. In the bathroom was good enough.

Great view from the room like we anticipated. Large spacious room + bathroom. Great location! Airconditioning worked well

The front desk wasn't staffed until 10 and we wanted to ask a question in the morning but couldn't and the front desk staff were late in the morning so there was a lot of people waiting to check out. You're only allowed to keep your luggage there until 3pm, but they said the latest time was 5pm so we got there at 4.45 and everything was shut up so panicked a little bit but after some time, a staff member came from the other building.

Maria was absolutely fabulous. Very friendly and helpful. A beautiful 500 year old spacious and comfortable corner apartment overlooking two canals so you could just watch all the activities on the water. And the location was perfect. Quiet area but just 5 minutes to San Marco Piazza and Rialto Bridge. Highly recommended.

Three flights of stairs to lug up luggage but we knew about it and what you come to expect in Italy if staying in these old buildings. Ultimately just adds to the experience!

It felt like we were residents of Venice living in the heart of it rather than tourists for the weekend. We loved the character of the hotel, the way it looked, and really appreciated the privacy and setting, like we had our own apartment in Venice. The location was perfect, really close to everything. The area around it is breathtaking, romantic, really unique. We would definitely stay here again

Everything was fine

We go to Venice often as my partners from there and our stay at Le Marie has been the best so far ( staying on a decent budget!). The host was extremely welcoming and helpful and the room was lovely, better decor than most of the hotels you find in Venice. For myself this place was perfect and it'll be the first one I check room availability for next time!

Sounds a weird thing but the only potential issue for some might be if you are elderly or have young children, the stairs are particularly steep!
