I think this is the best part of Venice to stay in; near everything but a quiter part of the centre. I'd thoroughly recommend room 132 because it has a canal view. It's really lovely to open the huge windows in the morning and look out over this small bit of water with a lovely little bridge. Personally, I like the Venetian style of furniture in the rooms; this is one of the few places where it feels appropriate rather than silly, so enjoy it. All the staff here are lovely and it's our second time staying.

This place is honestly luxurious and a lot.more modern than expected. The photos don't do it justice, one of nicest places I've stayed in. Large rooms, super modern bathrooms with the most amazing decor! Also the location is great as quiet but in heart of it all. The bed was also wildly large, couldn't even find my partner is morning they were so far away!

The room was big, clean and sunny. There was a fridge with refreshments and a big closet. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was also very nice and renewed. Although arrived early they kept our baggages and the same happened after check out. Breakfast buffet was very nice with a quite good variety. Location was quite and close to central sightseeing. There were restaurants and shops nearby. Personnel was very helpful and polite and they were speaking English fluently.

The only thing that we didn't like was that the elevator did not work during our stay. So going to the second floor after running a marathon was not an easy thing.

This is a quirky, typical Venetian style hotel with interesting decor. The room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts were excellent and ample. There is a fantastic restaurant next door (Cantina Canaletto), which would be hard to find if you were not staying at the hotel, as it is down a little back street away from the main Piazzas. However, it is a great location for access to Basilica San Marco and St. Marks Square.

There is no elevator in the hotel and a narrow staircase to negotiate to your room. I had not realised it was a distance from the Grand Canal and water bus access, which resulted in having to drag two heavy suitcases up and down steps, over bridges, and down narrow back streets.

In a great location, staff friendly and helpful, room was nice and clean. Definitely recommend staying here

The hotel was well maintained, tastefully decorated and furnished in a classical style, with luxurious fabrics, prints of paintings and Murano glass light fittings/chandeliers. The bed was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice of types, including continental, pastries, cakes and scrambled eggs and bacon. Barista-style coffee was available on request. The staff were very friendly, helpful and we didn't feel rushed at all. The location was very good, being quiet but only about 5 minutes walk from the Grand Canal, St. Mark's Square, shops and other attractions. We took a private water taxi from the airport and it was able to drop us off less than 200 metres from the hotel.

Instructions for the air conditioning could have been useful, as the controls were a bit hit and miss. The choice of black marble-style tiles in the bathroom made it quite dark, although there were some coloured LEDs for subtle/mood lighting in the shower, they didn't help very much; maybe too subtle.

We just come back from the most amazing stay at this hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a canal view room due to it being our wedding anniversary! The room was beautiful and in the new part of the hotel. It has been renovated to a very high standard. The beds were so comfy and the room was cleaned daily. The staff were wonderful, friendly and so helpful even walking us to the point our water taxi was collecting us for the airport. We only had breakfast on the last day but the selection was very good and you could have as much as you wanted. There is a lovely little restaurant just across from the hotel in a tiny peaceful square where we had 2 lovely meals and we thoroughly recommend it. The hotel is well positioned close to the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square but just far enough away from the hustle n bustle. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Nothing I didn't like

The breakfast was lovely to start your day on, There were pastries, cereals, fruit, juices, cheeses, toast, cakes and you could also have scrambles egg, bacon or boiled eggs. The cooked breakfast was a limited choice but was adequate to start you day. Location was great, 5-10 minute walk to St Marks Square and Rialto bridge. The room was very traditional Venetian, looking out onto a courtyard with a big slash window and shutters. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. Very clean. The staff were lovely. They were all very friendly. The receptionists were very helpful and informative, they couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. I had my phone stolen out of my handbag when I was siteseeing and they were so helpful printing my boarding card out for me. Would definitely stay here again.

Location could not have been better! It is literally 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco and so lovely and quiet. The rooms are really characteristic and comfortable - everything you need. It is quaint, lovely breakfast and so easy to get everywhere from this spot. Really lovely staff - can recommend!

This is not a criticism but there are lots of stairs to get to rooms and different levels in our room too which we loved. If you can't navigate lots of steps then say when you are booking.

The hotel is a quaint venetian styled hotel with a lovely, friendly staff. Breakfast was good and always replenished. 5 minute walk to San Marco and all the attractions. Loved the gondola ride! Highly recommend this hotel!

I only have one complaint. When I arrived Igor was at the front desk and shushed us to be quiet as my husband and I were talking to another couple as we waited to be assigned our rooms. He was rude and when I asked him if it was possible for an upgrade because it was my BDay he quickly looked in the computer and said you have a nice room!! Someone with his terrible attitude should not be at a front desk of a beautiful hotel in Venice. The rest of the staff went above and beyond and were helpful and friendly!
