We booked in on Tuesday 12th September and were welcomed by Maria who showed us to our room, the next morning there was a small problem with the shower, my husband told Maria about this and she was very understanding and helpful, she changed our room, I would say she has excellent customer service, our location was 8 minutes walk to St Marks Square, and 7 minutes to Rialto Bridge, it is a very central area but on a side street so it is very peaceful and quiet. We checked out on Tuesday 17th, we were happy with our stay

There were no tea or coffee services provided, but plenty of local cafés close by, the rooms had an old fashioned style of decor, which suits the old building but it could benefit from a little TLC to freshen it up, if we booked again I would book a room with windows that over look the canal, as the room we booked no view and was dark and the window did not allow light into the room

We had a wonderful stay at Dimora Dogale and truly felt like a doge in his palace. We were puzzled by some comments suggesting the decor needed updating: on the contrary, the Venetian rococo style perfectly complemented the historic location and created a charming, authentic atmosphere. Our room was spacious with ample wardrobe space, and the shower had consistently hot water. The provided amenities, including shampoo and a hair dryer, ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal: close enough to the main attractions to be convenient, yet tucked away from the busiest tourist areas. The best of both worlds. We also want to highlight the exceptional kindness from the front desk staff. The woman who assisted us was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She allowed us to store our luggage safely for a few hours on our final day, giving us peace of mind while we explored the city one last time.

For constructive feedback: the room was quite warm and stuffy, even in December, and the air conditioning didn’t seem to work. We had to open the window to get some fresh air and regulate the temperature. Overall, though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

I loved that it was a really old building and due to this reason there were imperfections but just because this was making it unique. As someone who see myself as an artist I loved the whole vibe and message. Is great value for money and location in my opinion is great. The longest walk you can take is up to 25min so it was exactly central and close to everything, and most of the time was like 6-10min walk. There was no smell it was clean and the staff was absolutely lovely. Also I didn’t book a room with a view to the canal but we had a partial view which was really nice and felt like a compliment.

I’ve loved everything, there was nothing bad about it for this price.

The location and view were amazing! Staff were very friendly and helpful. I like the classic Venice design of the room and furniture. I appreciate having a bathtub and plenty of hot water.

The bed could have been more comfortable. I had the double deluxe canal view room and the bed was two twin beds pushed together. The headboard shown in the picture was also missing and it was odd to have the curtain next to my head. Wish there would have been some type of coffee/ tea setup in the room.

Great location. Friendly staff. Very Venetian.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect, the staff were very friendly and helpful (they gave us tips on where to go, how to get around, and recommended restaurants). The room was exactly as described, with a beautiful view of the canal – very atmospheric. We had planned our trip to Venice light, so carrying our luggage upstairs without an elevator was absolutely fine. For this price category, it’s simply excellent!

Liked · This little hotel was the best ever. The room wasn't huge but it was so cute and quaint. They surprised us with an upgrade to a view room with a window that opened up to a small canal. We were able to get a gondola ride just outside the door. communication was good regarding filling out forms for the city tax exemption and instructions on how to access the location via water taxi.

Disliked · The room was clean, no problem but the common areas are getting a bit tired and some things like the stairs could use a good cleaning on the edges and in corners. There is no elevator but the girl who greeted us carried my bag up for me. The stairs have carpet on them which made them feel a bit narrow.

A beautifully charming room with 3 large double windows opening with canal views. The perfect location less than a minute from the Santa Maria Formosa square with its coffee bars and places to sit and drunk spritz and watch the world and the shopping places just beyond it. We loved our stay, it was comfortable, peaceful and just in the prefect location, we'll definitely book here again!

Amazing decor - bit unusual that so many images feature a mannequin with an amazing dress on only to be told when asked that this was just for photo purposes, but otherwise decor very Venetian and incredible!

Advertised as having aircon - again only to be told when asked (at the property) that aircon is only available May onwards :-(
