The hotel location is right in front of the ferry station. This makes it very easy to catch your ferry right on time. Breakfast was quite okay, a normal buffet breakfast. The room size was okay for staying for a couple of days.

We were satisfied with almost everything. The only very small point I can mention is the elevator size. It was the size of only two people. However, our room was on the second floor and we used it only for moving our luggage after check-in and before check-out.

The hotel is located directly across from the ferries to take you to other areas and islands of Venice.I found that extremely convenient for getting around Venice. I was traveling alone and felt safe in the area even at night. I had a single room with a balcony overlooking a picturesque view of the charming area below. Although I waa in an active main area of Venice, there was minimal automobile traffic. It was easy to take my car on the ferry from the mainland but with the water taxi system, a vehicle was not necessary. The hotel had a secure and gated parking lot that could be reserved for a minimal fee which was a block from the hotel.

Self service breakfast was very good, and gave a wide range of food to cater for people's different tastes. The location is perfect for easy access to Venice, and provides the welcome contrast of a pleasant local community feel along with a sense of calm after a hectic day of sightseeing! Before we arrived, we were concerned about travel arrangements due to strike action. I Emailed the hotel and received a prompt reply, giving me the information I needed, which was very reassuring and appreciated. We received a good welcome on arrival in the hotel. The 2 female staff who were working in the American bar were very efficient and friendly when we had drinks on the terrace and when we dined there both nights of our stay.The second night, they were under a great deal of pressure, due to a large party being there as well as other guests. They handled the situation as well as possible, though service was significantly slower than before, for which they apologised. I commend them for the calm and effective way they worked under pressure! It was worth the delay, as the food was excellent!

The hotel is located next to the water bus terminal with a spectacular view of Venice. Venice can be reached by water bus in 30-15 minutes. Also hassle-free transport to the airport, which takes about an hour. The whole package is complemented by the friendly and kind staff. The room was clean, spacious and fully equipped. The beach can be reached in a maximum of 15 minutes on foot.

Breakfast was simple and the same every day. The scrambled eggs were not very tasty. The restaurant offers tasty pasta and pizza. The waitresses are more concerned with their friends than with serving the guests. After half an hour of sitting nobody noticed me and I preferred to eat elsewhere.

Hotel Riviera is situated at the best possible locations on Lido island, with a breath taking view of the Venetian lagoon. It is centrally located in terms of ease of access via bus or water taxis and is surrounded with some wonderful restaurants. The staff are polite and professional, and are always available to help. Aesthetically I couldn’t ask for more as Riviera is draped with true Venetian interiors. The hotel restaurant serves some fine Italian cuisine and has a very hospitable and friendly staff. The room I stayed in was comfortable with modern fittings in the bathroom and a nice view. Would definitely be my first choice for my next trip here

Nothin much to complain about but providing some supplies like coffee and tea in the room would make the stay even better. The breakfast buffet is just okay.

Location was great. Breakfast excellent.

First night room 218 had an air shaft and no view. Complained and for 40 euros more got a nice room but the mattress in 215 is ancient and had a mountain in the middle and two valleys. It was ridiculous. Management said no one ever complained. I hope they replace the mattress … it was a big disappointment for an expensive room. They made no effort to refund a portiion of the payment.

Location is 30 metres from the watertaxi terminal that takes you to/from Venice "proper" in about 15 minutes. Also a direct ferry from Marco Polo Airport takes about an hour but is very relaxing. Old-school hotel, the clean rooms have actual keys, and polite, friendly and formal staff at reception. Welcome drink of prosecco at the hotel American Bar. Buffet breakfast is very acceptable and plentiful. Staying on the Lido is a good option if you want to get away from the crowds. I would return.

There was some noise outside at night but it didn't bother me too much, all part of the Italian life.

It was wonderful to have a room with a sea view from our window. The room was very warm and cozy, but there was some smell of vintage furniture, which is incomprehensible. In fact, it gave it a Venetian atmosphere. The welcome glass of Prosecco was a very unexpected but very pleasant surprise. Amazingly tasty and filling breakfast and most importantly extremely helpful and friendly hotel staff, which was just the icing on the cake. The Lido is a particularly quiet place, so it was perfect to relax after a day of hustle and bustle on the main island of Venice. Will we be back? Of course!

The hotel is about 15 minutes by water buss from St Mark's square. It is across the road from the water bus stop and is easy to find. There is a direct water bus from the Marco Polo Airport to Lido which stops just by the hotel. The hotel will look after luggage after check-out. The nice thing about the hotel is that it has wide open space around it and good views of Venice from some rooms. Breakfast is good and the cafe bar provides food all day. Nice place to stay away from the crowds.

It could be nearer the the main city (but would be very expensive)

We had a lovely room overlooking the lagoon, with a little balcony that wrapped around the corner so that we could see down the main street as well. Although right next to the Vaporetto stop and surrounded by restuarants, it wasn't noisy.
