Our stay at Plazzo Maria Formosa was absolutely amazing. We arrived straight to the canal entrance door via water taxi and their kind staff was there to welcoming us and help with the luggages. This hotel is a well designed boutique hotel. Our room was spacious, quiet, comfortable, clean and modernly furnished. The hotels location is amazing and just a short walk away from the main sites. Staffs were knowledgeable, kind, helpful and very friendly, they went above and beyond to make your stay at Venice memorable. The hotels included breakfast was the best breakfast we ever had at any of our previous stays. The menu includes a variety of dishes to please different tastes and while you are waiting for your order you could enjoy their starter tray including different kind of breads with honey, jam, chocolate ganache and whipped butter. On our last day we found out they also have hotels in Cortina, Paragi and Portofino (Portofino will be my next stay). Lastly, I Would highly recommend staying at Plazzo Maria Formosa, this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

Great place, excellent hotel. The building is beautifully restored, clean rooms, confortable beds, it was quiet (so a good night’s sleep). Breakfast was a la carte, enough options. Dyson hairdrier in the bathroom. They have a lady in charge of reservations who does an excellent job - recommended some very nice places and secured reservations for us.

Location is good but not excellent, a little bit to walk to St Mark’s square, but not much, it’s manageable. Even though the building is very nice, is not as imposing as other big hotels in Venice. Entertainment (TV) didn’t work 2 nights out of three, they fixed it at firdt but the second night after 10minutes it was broken again - the staff was very kind and interested to fix the problem, we didn’t insist because it was not essential to us.

I still loved the wellness and spa but I would have liked it to be a bit bigger with more options.

It is a very elegant and welcoming place, with numerous services, from babysitting to medical assistance, or at least it seems this way. From my perspective, the people were very welcoming, kind, and available, offering valuable advice since most of the staff are from Venice. The room was spacious, with an impeccably clean bathroom and excellent service! The room was prepared to accommodate us, with all the small details at different times of the day. The service is exceptional, and the location is lovely: situated in the corner of a square, it is close to the most visited places yet avoids the tourist congestion of the city center.

Amazing hotel in Venice made our visit to the city so exceptional. I have to give big thanks to the staff for their caring and support during our stay. Basically our luggage has not arrived at the airport, however the staff at the reception were dealing with the issue as it is their own responsibility. They were tracking our luggage status with the lost and found department, and when the luggage arrived they contacted us immediately. The breakfast was so good, many options in the menu and the food is so delicious. The room is very nice and the bathroom is so convenient. The hotel is an old palace and it has it’s own deck for the water taxi. The location of the hotel is very central where we could reach the attractions easily by walking. We really highly recommend this place.

This hotel was delightful! The facilities are exceptional, extremely clean and welcoming. The staff here were so kind and helpful, they made us really feel at home. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a larger room which we really enjoyed. The breakfast at the hotel was so good and the servers were very friendly They even had a box breakfast for us on the morning we had to leave so early when the restaurant was not yet open. They recommended great places to eat and how to get to them. We would absolutely return. It was like being with family. Campo Maria Formosa is a great location, centrally located, San Marco and the Rialto are easily walkable. The water taxi can take you right to the hotel doorstep!

My 4th time to Venice and never have I experienced it so comfortably as I did at this property. Beautifully done palace. Great location, everywhere is a few minutes walk and located within a peaceful square. Super friendly and attentive staff. Spacious room with a high ceiling. They have an elevator for those who can’t take stairs. Amenities within the room including a Dyson blow dryer, coffee machine, fridge. They have their own water taxi dock. Oh and what a delicious breakfast!

The staff couldn't have been better. Everyone was genuinely nice, helpful, professional. 5-stars+ Breakfast was great!!! The food superb as was the very nice staff. The hotel was beautiful and looked brand new. Loved that it was on a plaza so at night there were several restaurants but one was so good we ate there every night - to avoid having to walk home through narrow passages in the dark from elsewhere on the island. On the location - I'm neutral. It's further away from the "center of the island" so one day we took an early train to Florence so we left in the dark - but it was a 90 Euro water taxi ride to the train station for 2 of us. But we were easy walking distance to St Mark's and the Doge's Palace.

The room was a little small but nice, clean, new, bed was great! The bathroom was nice clean / modern. The outlets and controls near each side were good. However: 1 - The lack of a real chair was a bummer and the 2 small round cushion type chairs were absolutely ridiculous and uncomfortable. Get rid of them because they were just in the way. Better to have at least 1 small but comfortable chair. 2. The shower was way to small for such a big nice room. And the all marble floor when wet was scary slippery.

A Great, kind, fast and always to willing to exceed expectiation type of service is what first define the venue. We got upgraded to a nicer room. The rooms are clean and well recently decorated while still keeping the original, ancient spirit of the building. You can enjoy 4m high ceiling with a nice view with breakfat in bed. A possiblity of arriving by watertaxi in in the hotel is a plus for an unforgetable experience. A keeper and highly recommendable venue.

This boutique hotel is located in a very good location, relatively close to the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square, yet the area is quiet and unobtrusive. The hotel service deserves the highest rating - it is friendly, nice and extremely clean. We got a very large room (two floors) which I didn't expect at all. Room equipment at the highest level. I didn't really have to carry half of my cosmetics, because there was everything from intimate hygiene gel to pillow mist. Breakfast very good. The only thing I could complain about is the unpleasant smell from the bathroom and/or the canal. But, well,I don't know if this can be avoided in Venice.
