The property is a beautiful period property located in the perfect spot in Épernay, a short walk to the Avenue de Champagne. The room we had (Chambre Vert) was spacious, with good A/C, a beautiful bathtub and lovely shower/toilet room. Also with ample wardrobe space. Breakfast each morning was delicious - freshly baked viennoiseries and bread and a choice of boiled eggs, fresh fruit, cheeses and charcuterie. We were able to park on-site which was very convenient and our hosts were very friendly and helpful (e.g giving us dinner recommendations). Would strongly recommend a visit and will book again if we come to the area again.

Nothing comes to mind. We didn’t get a turndown service but were only staying two nights so this wasn’t a big issue.

Our stay at Au Jeu de Paume was exceptional. This quaint bed & breakfast offers fantastic service and a charming atmosphere. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and relaxing environment. Breakfast was a delightful touch, featuring a lovely assortment of items to choose from. We also appreciated the small nook on the second floor stocked with coffee and tea—available throughout the day for a quiet break. The couple who run the inn are incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel truly welcome. I highly recommend Au Jeu de Paume for anyone planning a stay in Épherny. It’s a gem!

Perfect location in Epernay. Very quiet and yet very close to everything. The place and our room (verte) was comfortable and beautiful with some history. The breakfast is delightful. Easy walk to Avenue de Champagne. It is close to very good restaurants… Chez Ali and Heera.

The wifi is virtually non-existent. Not a big problem for us but if you had to work it would be elsewhere. You will need to know some French as the proprietors do not speak English. We made do…

Fabulous, we loved every aspect of the hotel. We were greeted by the owner and her husband, they were very welcoming and it was like being a guest in their own home. The property, located in the heart of Epernay, has been excellently restored and full of artwork and antiques. The bedroom was delightful, beds were very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. If you are in Epernay you must stay here! we have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow travelers.

The fact that we only stayed one night!

Very Nice and charming hotel . Good fresh breakfast and close walk distance to verything in Epernay. Hosts were very friendly. interior was 1700-1800 period and very charming- wow :-) . A romantic place to stay for two persons. Very clean everywhere, Not a place for children . Only place for 3 cars in the yard of the hotel.

The Papillon room was a bit small, and it was hard to get around the bed on one side because of the timber construction.

We were able to park our car on arrival which was very handy. Very pleasant couple running the establishment. We enjoyed our glass of champagne. The facilities are very thoughtful - you can help yourself to tea and coffee in a little room which I really appreciated. So many establishments give you one coffee capsule per day in your room. The breakfast was simply lovely. Fresh bread, perfectly soft boiled egg and delicious home made preserves. Very central to walk to the beautiful Avenue de Champagne but be aware most of the champagne houses (and the rest of the small town) are closed on Mondays.

Pretty outside space to sit for a moment for a coffee or drink although it is in the car park - there isn't a separate garden.

Great location. very comfy room. we had the Blue Room which had a lovely claw footed bath but no walk in shower, which was fine for us but may be difficult for people with mobility problems. There were extra pillows in the wardrobe giving a choice between firm & soft. WiFi was good. Breakfast was very good. Parking could be a little tight when there were 4 cars in the carpark but it was manageable. Good choice of restaurants within walking distance.

A gorgeous, characterful property in the centre of Epernay. Delightfully decorated and very comfortable. We were welcomed with glasses of ice-cold champagne. Check in was easy. Parking was behind secure gates, locked at night. Air conditioning in the room and an extremely comfortable bed after a good, hot shower made for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was served in the dining room at beautifully set tables with ample choice of food and good coffee. Guests have the use of a kitchenette equipped with a coffee machine, kettle, microwave oven and a fridge that was stocked with water and milk. Easy to make hot drinks for the room whenever we wanted. We would definitely choose to stay here again when we visit Epernay.

Location is superb for the town centre and local area. Breakfast was very fresh and great selection. Communal coffee/tea room with crockery and fridge was a great bonus.

Nothing about the property itself or the lovely hosts, this is a matter of personal preference: only hand-held shower over bath. We're not huge fans of taking baths so will make sure our next booking is for a room with a separate shower.

A lovely quaintly decorated guest house with lots of interesting art, plants and decorations. There is a little kitchen available for guests equipped with a wonderful selection of teas. The best of all is the super comfy bed. We were a short walk from the champagne houses so were able to park the car for the duration of our stay and simply walk everywhere. The breakfast was simple and delicious and we had the very friendly host serving us so we were able to chat and ask any questions.

A small point but the room doors squeak a lot.. including the bathroom doors.
