Kakariki Cottage is a gem! After a long flight, it was nice to arrived in such a quiet and a beautiful place. The cottage itself is cozy, and welcoming. Every detail has been thought of—everything you might need is provided, including a generous selection of breakfast essentials like eggs, bread, fruit, salt, pepper, oil, and even treats like cookies and chocolate. It’s clear the hosts take great care to ensure guests feel at home.

Attention to detail. Enough towels, tea towels, sheets and pillows for the week stay. Breakfast and Nespresso were a great touch. Great location, very clean. So quiet. Interior design very soothing and well done.

No where for rubbish. Especially with a long stay. Only half brush and shovel to clean up any mess.

Perfect little cottage which boasts all of what your after if your trying to get away from the reality of city life that's not far of a drive, then this is the place to go. Host had thought of it all, right down to a beautiful breakfast for us to enjoy the next day. We loved everything about this little diamond in the rough, We will be back for sure.

What a little gem this cottage is, comfortable and homely. There was everything we needed for our 2 night stay and provisions provided for breakfast were a bonus. This was the perfect place for us to end our 8 week trip around Australia and New Zealand.

The only downside was the very steep steps up to the mezzanine bedroom.

I had booked this place last year as a surprise gift to my partner, We loved it so much we just had to come back. 2nd Jan we made this place our first get away for the New Year and couldn't have asked for anything better.

Peaceful location in country, but easy drive from the airport. Cottage spacious and fully furnished and cute interior. We arrived in late with no time to stock up on groceries, and so appreciated the supplies in the cottage larder. Also appreciated the detailed directions, as we arrived at night in a heavy downpour.

Lovely peaceful cottage surrounded by nature. It had all we needed and and was very clean and homely. It was the perfect place to spend the last night of our trip to New Zealand. We would have loved to have stayed another night and if we fly into Auckland again we would happily book it again.

Nothing to dislike.

Breakfast was excellent. Location is lovely, and ideal for us - minutes to Papakura, but in the country. Very cute, tidy, nicely decorated. We didn't have a chance to use the outside fire this trip, but it looks like an awesome outdoor area.

In the winter, it could do with a small fire inside to increase the cozy atmosphere, especially as our NZ winters have been so wet. However electric heaters were supplied, so it was warm enough.

Very well equipped stay in an idyllic setting. So relaxing and in a great location close to Auckland. Wish we had more time to spend here!

The property got very hot on a humid summer day but did cool down during the night with a few windows open.

This place is beautiful and super clean. Everything has been thought out well including breakfast, cereal, fruit, milk, eggs, coffee pods, bathroom supplies , comfortable warm bedding. We have loved our stay and it's so close to Pulman Arena 10min drive perfect for basketball nationals and supermarkets. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. I highly recommend A++++ PS easy to find!
