Great location, staff friendly, nice big room. We arrived after mid-night which was absolutely fine. No issues were too much of a problem for the staff. They were all very helpful. Handy vegan cafe next door for smoothies, burgers etc Large shopping centre close by with hundreds of options for eating - 99% of them local. Western options limited to Starbucks, Macs and BK. You can eat quite cheaply here or in the street markets for less that £5. The breakfast was fine for us but may disappoint others. There's no big spread or selection, and its the same every day. Bread/rolls/tea/coffee/limited cereal/two or three local fruits and a selection of 4 or 5 egg options off the menu. No local cafe options. Also a limited selection of beers PS use GRAB to get around or the buses

Extremely good location on the Kuching waterfront, close to the Chinese Museum, the Borneo Cultures Museum, nice cafes, and several other places of interest for tourists. Hotel is charming with a Sarawakian theme to the decorations and located in a shophouse. Large balcony with chair and ceiling fan that allows views of the waterfront. Breakfast is complimentary.

The shower floor is rather slippery and I noticed some dead flies in the bathtub, which wasn't pleasant. Do note that while there's a lift to the hotel rooms, there is a short flight of steps (4-5 steps) up to that lift. The staff are very helpful and willing to assist with your bags but disabled guests may want to keep this in mind.

The staff were absolutely amazing. I had a problem with the first room I was assigned and they not only promptly moved me, but when they saw how long I was staying they upgraded me to a suite as well. Breakfast was very good, but go with the local option instead of the western ones. The facilities were spotlessly clean, housekeeping was always extremely prompt, and the front desk staff was always very helpful with great suggestions. Incredibly convenient location, although keep in mind the noise level of the bustling city.

If you are a light sleeper, this is absolutely not the place for you. After complaining about the noise level of room 101 (motorcyles revving all night, Salah broadcast from the mosque across the street, and street cleaners using leaf blowers starting at 6am) I was moved to the quietest suite in the building and it was still pretty noisy. If you are booked in either 101 or 102, I would immediately ask for a new room, you'd have to be deaf or in a coma to get through the night there.

It was filled with character, from the tiffin and suitcase collections in the lobby, to the wooden furniture in the rooms. Spotlessly clean and perfect riverfront location, walking distance to many attractions including Carpenter St. The scrambled eggs breakfast were delicious. The suite we had was very spacious with two king sized single beds. Quiet rear facing room at the back of the property.

Nothing not to like. The restaurant does not cater to meat eaters however there are many around to choose from.

Would have liked some fruit on the breakfast buffet. The only fruit was the banana on the French toast option. But otherwise everything excellent.

The location of the hotel is excellent! From the window you could see the Parliament building and the river! Also, all the major touristic attractions are at walking distance. The room was very, very nice and big, very nicely decorated, with local touch - got the executive suite. Both me and my friend worked for 2 days from there and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated.

The breakfast is poor... with very few options to chose from - some of the options might even not be available one morning for "out of stock reasons". :( What i didnt like either is the fact that you have to pay an additional deposit of 200MR when you check in - which has to be cash. Since Kuching was our last destination in Borneo and didnt want to block a big amount of money in that deposit, i asked them to block it on my credit card - which they agreed. Unfortunately the amount was not automatically unblocked, i had to follow-up and send them an additional email to do this. :(

A beautifully converted shophouse with charming decor. We loved the location, spacious room, and friendly staff. The large bathroom was a pleasant surprise, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. Overall, it was a great experience!

Not quite a fan of the couch material, which was textured and a bit musty smelling. Luckily, there was another rattan lounge chair, which was quite comfortable too.

They would make the breakfast you chose only when you’re seated

I liked the decor and overall ambience at the hotel. It is also very conveniently located at the waterfront, next to the old Courthouse, which has an excellent restaurant and bar. The hotel itself has a lovely bar which offers some award-winning tuak.

The coffee at breakfast was served luke warm, and the airconditioning was a little too cold.

Great location opposite the river. Very comfortable bed and large room.

The room felt like a bunker as there was no outside window in the main bedroom, only a small window in bathroom and the balcony looked out to an internal space. So choose a room that faces the front. Breakfast was also very limited in selection with only vegetarian choices.
