We recently had the pleasure of staying at Bannockburn House and it was delightful. Nestled in a picturesque setting, this charming B&B is run by a lovely couple who have truly perfected the art of hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with genuine smiles and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Every detail of our stay was seamlessly taken care of, from check-in to breakfast service. The hosts were attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring we had everything we needed while also sharing wonderful stories and local recommendations. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with warm hospitality, a peaceful atmosphere, and fantastic food, Bannockburn House is a must-visit. We can’t wait to return!

What a delightful surprise! We booked Bannockburn house for a quick stay to visit local vineyards, and wish we could have stayed longer. The hospitality, location and little details made this a noteworthy stay. Hosts Chris and Jules were welcoming and attentive. They had great recommendations on where to visit and eat, even helping us book a reservation. You can tell they are plugged into the local community and it greatly enhanced our stay. The location was top for us as we could walk to dinner and have easy access to biking trails. It is also in a neighborhood (not the center of town), so very quiet at night. Little details we loved and did not expect: generous breakfast each morning, beautiful stars, and a super friendly kitty always looking for pets. Thankyou Chris and Jules for such a fantastic stay!

We stayed in the Bellbird Suite. An extremely comfortable room with a huge bathroom and a beautiful view. The hosts, Chris and Jules, were wonderful, warm people (and invited us to attend the local Anzac Day service with them, which was something special). The room had everything you would want and the breakfasts were very good. Bannockburn is a small town, perfectly located for visiting the Central Otago wineries.

This was an out of this world experience! The views from the bedroom (Bellbird) are absolutely amazing, beautiful room design and top quality fittings, linen, toiletries, breakfast, snacks. What really made this stand out was the superb welcome from Chris and Julia. They were so kind and welcoming, yet not intrusive. We want to go back! Location is great, near wineries, ready access to queenstown, wanaka. Best bnb in NZ!

I have never stayed such a nice hotel. Everything was wonderful－delicious breakfast, plenty of lovely treats, clean and comfortable private room, high quality fasillities, etc. Japanese people love baths, so it was also so good that the bathtub and shower booth were separated. This is a very quiet and peaceful area. We felt really relaxed. We loved spending time on the balcony with amazing views. Especially, the starry sky is unforgettable. The hosts were wonderful - very welcoming, helpful and frendly, in spite of my poor English. They provided a lot of information about the area, which made our trip even better. Anyway, everything was an experience that exceeded my expectations. 2 days stay was too short. I will definitely come back. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great location with beautiful views, quiet and private. The hosts were knowledgable about the area and went out of their way to make the stay comfortable. Wonderful breakfast and extra touches such as fresh fruit, snacks and a variety of drinks available at all times. The room and bathroom were great and spacious. We loved being able to sit outside and see the stars through the skylight.

Fabulous accomodation. We stayed in the cottage which was spacious and well appointed. The hosts Jules and Chris were welcoming and friendly. We were invited to attend an Anzac Day service with the locals which was really special and memorable. Breakfast was excellent. Lots to choose from and also lots of other nice snacks in the room. Bannockburn was a lovely place to visit with lots of nice walks and wineries. Highly recommend staying at Bannockburn House. You won't be disappointed.

Everything was fabulous! Wonderful hosts who were readily available, facilitated our late-ish check in and always ensured we had everything we needed. We loved the breakfast spread and little snacks also. Do yourself a favour and have a BBQ, what a beautiful place to sit at for a meal! Great area also if you're into walking/hiking/biking, plenty to see and visit. Would love to stay again. Thankyou!

Jules and Chris are wonderful hosts: discreet but available when needed or for advice on restaurants etc. This is our second visit to Bannockburn House and we’re considering a third. Breakfast provisions were top-shelf and superb including freshly baked croissants and organic fruit grown on their property. The view is stunning and restful from both the room and deck and the area very quiet. Bathroom very nicely appointed with double basins and living/sleeping area is spacious and had a lounge and swivel TV. It is walking distance to the excellent Bannockburn Hotel and Black Rabbit cafe (which we did not try).

The lounge area could do with a reading light. If you wish to travel with friends or family ensure you let them know that as they are limiting occupancy post-Covid except to guests known to one another.

Outstanding property. So private and quiet with all the must have touches and an incredible shower. Bliss! Nespresso machine, smart tv, washer/dryer and apowerful heat pump made our stay perfect. From salting the stairs, leaving lights & heating on; along with all the delicious treats, we could not have asked for more. Loved our walks to Black Rabbit for coffee and cheese rolls but the highlight was meals at Bannockburn Hotel.
