It was very clean. The lady at reception was very kind during check in. Breakfast was decent. And the room Air conditioner (uncommon for Germany!) worked and it was comfortable to sleep. It actually blew cold Air. Overall it was lovely stay

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Munich - City East for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly nice and kind - very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. One of the things I really appreciated was that my room was ready early in the morning (had an early flight and arrived at the hotel at 8:30), which made my arrival so much smoother. The room itself was clean, modern, quite, well-equipped, everything you needed in the bathroom and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety to choose from each morning (including German specialties). Another thing that I really appreciated, was the iron and ironing board in the room - very thoughtful. Bus stop right in front of the hotel and the nearest S Bahn station Berg am Laim about 8 min walk. Overall, I had a great stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel.

It was close to the city center and also to transportation helped me get around, i like the staff in reception, especially boy named “Muradi”, he is such a good and friendly person.

I thought they would clean the room every day, but on the third day they cleaned our room, which I didn't like a bit. The restaurant food also needs to be improved( i mean at night when me and my friends ordered the food, it was not good, for example the pasta penne was over boiled and missed a bit seasoning, and Carbonara what i order was not good as well, pasta spaghetti was not enough boiled and the Carbonara sauce was curdled and was also missing the bacon)

The rooms were recently renovated, they are quite nice and clean. The bed was quite comfortable, the air conditioning works well. The bathroom is nicely designed, everything works as intended. The rooms also had a kettle, an iron and ironing board. The Wi-fi is fast enough and has coverage throughout the building. The breakfast is a bit spartan, and the dining area can fill up quite fast at peak times.

Would be nice to have a wardrobe in the rooms - it wasn't a problem for us because we only stayed overnight, but for a longer stay it would be quite useful.

The location of the hotel is a little far from the city but it was very accessible to public transport. There is a bus stop just outside of the hotel that will bring you to Bahnhof or the train Station. It is also walkable about 5-10min walk from train station to the hotel. The room assigned to us was newly renovated and it was comfortable, sound proof i guess. The breakfast selection was also good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a complimentary coffee. The hotel was also near grocery so it was really convenient.

Nothing really disturbing. There was no complementary water, or toiletries (shower cap, sanitary kit). There was no slippers provided or bathrobes. Other hotels offer these things or is already prepared in the room. Aside from that nothing really big.

We had a lot of trouble contacting the hotel prior to our arrival as we needed to let them know a significant change in our arrival time. They did not reply to multiple messages sent through the booking.com platform, to any of our emails sent direct to the hotel and did not answer the phone on several calls. Eventually we reached them through the holiday inn reservations number after waiting on hold for ages. But they were helpful once we got through to them. Would have been good to have had some sausages and bacon at the breakfast buffet. Location wasn’t fantastic, no restaurants close by and a reasonable walk to train station.

The hotel is located in a quiet area and offers a pleasant stay. In fact, it consists of two connected buildings—one rated three stars and the other four stars. Everything is clean and well-maintained. Breakfast is delicious and more than sufficient to give you a good start to the day. Parking is available on-site for a fee of €19 per day. While it’s possible to find a spot along the nearby road, it’s more of a challenge than a reliable option.

The only downside of this hotel is that they accept card payments only—cash is not accepted.

The self service breakfast buffet was kept open late which was brilliant to grab a quick bite when I had a lie in. This is best hotel I have visited for breakfast times. The staff were all extremely friendly and it was an amazing extra touch in the evening when the bar staff were making us complimentary toasties with crisps. We felt very looked after. I also left my AirPods in my room and they have not disappeared and they are helping get them back to me in the UK

The location wasn’t the best, with not much around the hotel, we needed to travel for good food or drink options, BUT the location isn’t something that can be changed and we were aware of the location when we booked, so not something that can be a negative, we were just happy to find any hotel in Munich for Scotlands Euro football fun!

Breakfast was excellent. Bedsheets are changed every day, but in order to promote savings and ecology, if you announce that you don't need room service for tomorrow, you will get a free drink at the hotel bar. This is something every hotel should have, very nice concept. The hotel was very quiet so we could rest and sleep even during the day. Hotel staff very nice and pleasent. Location is also superb as there are many shops, restaurants in the near vicinity of the hotel, and also many stations of public transportation. Therefore you can choose tram, bus, S-bahn or U-Bahn to get you to every part of Munich in no time.

The staff were the best, I didn’t realise but I forgot to book an extra day at the hotel but the staff there was so lovely and sorted it out for me quickly and we managed to stay in the same room. The room was really roomy and clean and the bed was comfortable. Everything was working and clean. The breakfast was great with lots to chose from, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. The train to and from the city center was straight forward and easy to navigate. I’d definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
