Great location for train travel which is very easy to use. Hotel staff were lovely and extremely helpful. I travelled with my young daughter and felt safe in the hotel and the added security of using your room card to use the lift was reassuring. Room was clean and handy to have the kettle for morning coffee! There is no door into the bathroom but there is a glass door for the shower and solid door for the toilet. Pillows were lovely and fluffy!

The mattress was thin foam which I found uncomfortable but daughter was fine!

I booked this thinking we would be able to have a double room and a twin room but unfortunately no twin rooms were available (unhappy teens having to share a bed). Other than that, the hotel was great, super clean, modern, eco friendly and well located next to Munich-east train station. We were there between Christmas and new year and the area was less lively than it ordinarily would be but it was only a 6 min tram ride from Marianplatz so very easy to get out and about and see everything. Good restaurants close by…the Thai in particular is very authentic and close to a Thai street food experience.

- The gambino hotel WERKSVIERTEL exceed my expectations with clean and modern facilities and sustainable actions - Although it lies a bit outside of the center, the connection with public transport is well (next station: 10 min. by foot away) - The area around offers a big choice of restaurants and bars - Although the hotel does not have a restaurant/ breakfast: they offer a great selection of fresh food/ sneaks and drinks from their modern venting machine (+ there are a lot of restaurants around)

- Depending on the room location, it was sometimes possible to hear the noise on the hallway from other guests + the staff - Depending on the time, some patience might be needed for the check-in during rush hours

Very comfortable bed, nice style, great TV, restaurants and bars to eat out or grab something nearby but still quite quiet, good price-value ratio for location in hip surrounding

No bathroom door - only door to the toilet itself, sometimes smell from the downstairs restaurant quite strong esp. in the hallway, room door wouldn't lock properly always had to pull/push a second time, coffee amenities provided could have been better (quality), mold in the silicon of the shower in some places

Location was great. Had an option to forgo room cleaning and get a free water/ beer. Had a parking garage with a bike space. Plenty of restaurants in the area.

Staff were grumpy. The person who checked me in was barely civil. When I went to claim a free beer I was looked at very suspiciously even though I only claimed one and I was entitled to several by that stage. No breakfast available. When people closed their doors the whole room shook. Bike parking not secure, someone stole my water bottle.

Friendly staff, excellent communication prior to arrival via WhatsApp, very modern look and feel to the hotel. They were willing and able to store my luggage for the whole day while I was out for meetings. Great location: 2 - 3 minutes' walk from Munich East station, and there's lots to see, do, eat and drink in the Werksviertel. I would definitely say here again.

The hotel doesn't serve breakfast, so just take note of that. Also, I would have expected a little better than instant coffee in the room.

Located close to the train station and about a 10 minute ride to main attractions and central downtown. Also surrounded by many restaurants, while still being a relatively quiet area. Room was small, but clean and comfortable and quiet. Front desk staff was really friendly and helpful.

The bed only had a top sheet and not a fitted sheet, so would come off in the middle of the night and was pretty uncomfortable. The pillows were also poor quality but bed was pretty comfortable beyond bedding!

The staff was extremely nice and young, making it the perfect place to stay for young people and friends who are looking for a great place to spend the night but do not require anything more than a bed. The furniture and the whole place have clearly been renovated just a few years ago and the whole "young urban" vibe perfectly matches the spirit of the WERKSVIERTEL.

The room was not that spacious and there was no way to completely hide yourself from the other guests when in the shower, unless they stayed on the bed. It's great if you're with your partner or with a group made of family/very closefriends...but do not plan to go there with acquaintances, it could lead to embarrassing moments!

The room was modern, good blackout curtains, cozy lighting, you could choose free beer or water instead of room service, a lively bar in front of the hotel and a very lively and youthful food court next to the hotel, self check-out, free parking on the city street next to the hotel and the hotel reception recommended cafes in the surrounding area suitable for breakfast, and they were all very good choices.

The room was quite small, but 2 people can handle it, the window could also have thin curtains in front, because the side curtains were blacking out, if they were removed during the day, everything in the room could be seen by the visitors of the hotel rooms located in the opposite wing of the building.

I am traveling a lot around the US and Europe and I have to say that the Gambino exceeded my expectations in any respect. Super stylish hotel with great design and comfort and rock-bottom pricing. I will never go anywhere else. I was staying there for three days to recuperate from COVID. Top location with restaurants next to hotel, super nice staff who bend backwards for me.

Nothing to complain about which is a German's highest praise, haha! Cappucino machine in lounge area with Dallmayr coffee, great magazines to read, vending machine with snacks, beverages, and else. Super comfy bed with high quality sheets, 14 sqm room with renovated bathroom of the highest standard, big TV, coffee maker in room.
