Excellent hotel. Very close to the OstBahnoff so easy to get to from the airport. There isn't much around in the area, but since the transport connection is so close by, its easy to get around the city. Lovely little room, not a lot of space but has everything you need for a short stay. Check in/out process was super quick and easy.

Great location for train travel which is very easy to use. Hotel staff were lovely and extremely helpful. I travelled with my young daughter and felt safe in the hotel and the added security of using your room card to use the lift was reassuring. Room was clean and handy to have the kettle for morning coffee! There is no door into the bathroom but there is a glass door for the shower and solid door for the toilet. Pillows were lovely and fluffy!

The mattress was thin foam which I found uncomfortable but daughter was fine!

Amazing location for access from train station/airport - very short walk from Ostbahnhof. Check-in was quick and easy and possible at all hours. Nice cosy furnishings on the window seat made it feel pleasant despite small space! Excellent value for money, much the best option I found and I wasn't disappointed.

Room was small but as specified when booking so no problem. Was a bit surprised though by no space to store clothes! Actually not a problem for a one-night stay (which is presumably what the hotel mainly attracts) but might have been uncomfortable for longer. Not the most comfy bed but fine. Some of decor is slightly edgy - one bare concrete wall and ceiling! For that price though I'm all for it :)

I booked this thinking we would be able to have a double room and a twin room but unfortunately no twin rooms were available (unhappy teens having to share a bed). Other than that, the hotel was great, super clean, modern, eco friendly and well located next to Munich-east train station. We were there between Christmas and new year and the area was less lively than it ordinarily would be but it was only a 6 min tram ride from Marianplatz so very easy to get out and about and see everything. Good restaurants close by…the Thai in particular is very authentic and close to a Thai street food experience.

The hotel looks really nice, the staff is extremely friendly. The rituals soap and shower gel made it feel a bit luxurious. The little bench in front of the window is very comfortable. There is a nice food court style outdoor area nearby.

It was too cold in the room and it was not possible to change that. We tried putting it fully on red and turn on the ventilator to warm the room but it only kept blowing cold air. And even when turned off there was a constant cold breeze. I understand some people like aircon in summer but my hotel room needs to be in a temperature that I can still walk around in a tshirt inside (or at least it should be possible to heat the room to that temperature if a guest wishes to do so). The other thing I would change are the paper cups for tea in the morning. It gives this otherwise nice room such a cheap touch (and the high-quality tea tastes terrible). Sustainability would say thanks too. 😊

- The gambino hotel WERKSVIERTEL exceed my expectations with clean and modern facilities and sustainable actions - Although it lies a bit outside of the center, the connection with public transport is well (next station: 10 min. by foot away) - The area around offers a big choice of restaurants and bars - Although the hotel does not have a restaurant/ breakfast: they offer a great selection of fresh food/ sneaks and drinks from their modern venting machine (+ there are a lot of restaurants around)

- Depending on the room location, it was sometimes possible to hear the noise on the hallway from other guests + the staff - Depending on the time, some patience might be needed for the check-in during rush hours

Very comfortable bed, nice style, great TV, restaurants and bars to eat out or grab something nearby but still quite quiet, good price-value ratio for location in hip surrounding

No bathroom door - only door to the toilet itself, sometimes smell from the downstairs restaurant quite strong esp. in the hallway, room door wouldn't lock properly always had to pull/push a second time, coffee amenities provided could have been better (quality), mold in the silicon of the shower in some places

The hotel was fantastic for the price, I cannot imagine more for the same price. The location is superior, and the access to the public transport is the best. The hotel looks very interesting, decorated with a nice taste, worth mentioning that we spend an evening to the midnight in the lobby playing board games and having fun. The rooms are spotless and beautiful. If you don't want a cleaning for a day, they give you a drink per person instead, which is impressive. Staff are welcoming and kind, always answering with a smile. :)

Location was great. Had an option to forgo room cleaning and get a free water/ beer. Had a parking garage with a bike space. Plenty of restaurants in the area.

Staff were grumpy. The person who checked me in was barely civil. When I went to claim a free beer I was looked at very suspiciously even though I only claimed one and I was entitled to several by that stage. No breakfast available. When people closed their doors the whole room shook. Bike parking not secure, someone stole my water bottle.

Friendly staff, excellent communication prior to arrival via WhatsApp, very modern look and feel to the hotel. They were willing and able to store my luggage for the whole day while I was out for meetings. Great location: 2 - 3 minutes' walk from Munich East station, and there's lots to see, do, eat and drink in the Werksviertel. I would definitely say here again.

The hotel doesn't serve breakfast, so just take note of that. Also, I would have expected a little better than instant coffee in the room.
