I enjoyed the lively location. The usual hostel facilities are functional and clean (kitchen, laundry, hang out area).

Don’t appreciate having to put on the bed sheets and duvet covers myself after a long transit. The metal frame bed is such a pain when you try to be quiet and considerate to your room mates-a) when I switched on the lights by the lower bunk bed, the light leaked to the upper bunk bed. B) any movement makes clanking noises. Bathroom door not water tight. Room 508 bathroom is always wet as a result.

The lockers have their own code system and you get two of them. Beds are big and comfortable. Common areas are comfortable. It has plenty of outlets and you can leave your phone charging inside the locker if you want. The bed has its own fan, even if the room has AC. Kitchen has everything you need. Shower had hot water. I fell in love with Munich though, I might need to come back at one point!

After a 7-hour trip, having to make my own bed (bottom bunk, thankfully) was very annoying... The fridges were overflowing, nowhere near enough space for the number of guests. No shared bathrooms on the floor either, so if your room’s bathroom is taken, good luck sprinting to the ground floor. I do think the place is too pricey for what it is.

The room was really clean and comfortable, as well as the common areas. Location is not central but I didn't mind that, I had some really nice bus rides and it was still super easy to reach the city center by S or U bahn. The staff was nice and welcoming, especially Besa, a wonderful receptionst! If you speak Croatian, be sure to let her know 😁

The only thing I really didn't like was that the doors are so loud when closing, it would wake me up every time someone would enter/exit a room on my floor. It would be nice if there were some activities but that's more of a wish.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Wombat Hostel in Munich! The cleanliness was impeccable, truly like a high-standard hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The facilities were excellent, offering both privacy and comfort in shared rooms as well as private bathrooms. I loved the curtains for each bed that provided great privacy, the larger-than-normal comfortable beds, and the high-quality and clean linens. Attention to detail was impressive – from simple but functional bed lamps, sockets inside the safe box, lockers, a fan, to a dedicated place for shoes and many other thoughtful touches. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety and quality. I originally planned to stay 2 nights but enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay to 4 nights! I highly recommend Wombat Hostel and would give it a perfect 10 out of 10!

- Location is excellent, right next to Ostbahnhof and is also located inside a lovely restaurant park - Two bathrooms inside room which both have toilets and showers so never had to wait to use them - Beds were incredibly comfortable: huge pillows! Also has reading light, fan, charging ports, safe and small shelf for phone. Privacy curtains were amazing too. - Has lockers underneath bed that don’t need padlocks, just put in a code - Common areas were numerous and comfortable. Large cafe/bar downstairs, seating area next to reception, couches outside of kitchen and even a roof area. - Four washers and dryers. Costs €7 to use both and €1 for detergent. Really easy to use. - Kitchen was large and well equipped. Three hobs, see through fridges and lots of counter space - Staff were very friendly - Vending machine with snacks and drinks - Breakfast was good and not too expensive

- One of our assigned lockers didn’t work due to previous user not leaving it unlocked. Just needed to ask at reception for them to come and unlock it for you though - Toilet paper dispenser in one of the bathrooms in our room kept falling off the wall

Nice kitchen with plenty of dishes &,pans with large frig around the corner of the dining room table where MW is located. Nice lounge area past reception and across from dinning room. Nice outdoor terrace outside floor 1 and tables outside floor 0. Good elevators. Rooms large enough for 6 people with medium size lockers with combinations and plenty of room under the beds for larger bags. Beds had curtains. Water, drinks, and good beer for sale near reception. Nice bar next door. Not too long a walk from Ost Train station which has plenty of shops for coffee, sandwiches, and pastries. Internet great.

I stayed in the other Wombats hostel in Munich about 10 years ago and loved it there so booked another Wombat hostel this time. The facilities are much better than most hostels I have stayed in. They have really put effort into adding all the things you need whilst staying in a hostel. The rooms and toilets/showers were clean and modern The hostel location does mean there is noise from outside due to the nearby bars/clubs. That didn't bother me but might bother others. The bar is great too. I tried the continental breakfast too and it was much better than your standard hostel breakfast and great value. Another day I ordered brunch from the bar. I got scrambled egg and avocado toast. It was really delicious. All the staff I met were very friendly and helpful.

I went with four of my friends, and we booked a room for six people. We stayed in a cozy, clean, and modern room with bunk beds, which had everything we needed. I personally loved the modern and stylish touch of the room. The view was amazing, and the facilities were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good, with clubs and places to eat just a minute away from the hostel.

It would have been great if it were closer to the Old Town, but it was within walking distance(20-25 minutes), so it wasn’t necessarily a problem.

Huge sofa if back hurts can lay on it kitchen is really nice balcony coin operated launderette near train station big wheel outside loads loads mini food outlets, lift at station is near pavement .the rock climbing wall looks fun there's one in city centre too in shop! tabel hey have fans in the beds locks were difficult i messed mine up i like curtains but if you tall mind head ! Sockets charging work.seat in shower is good idea .colourfull rugs on floor are homely .theysell towels etc washing machines are Mielé do good job you need own soap but its easy to use.

Um showers are great but no squeegee or drain to scrape water away it spills out onto floor .

I really loved it! The beds have curtains, the lockers are present - mind you, the 6-person dorms have lockers big enough to fit two huge suitcases, while the 8-person ones only fit in a small suitcase with a little extra space left over - the showers have good enough pressure and heat up very fast, the kitchen is spacious enough more up to ten people to be doing something there, the leisure area is fantastic, it has many sitting options, is cosy, and is located right next to the eating area (which doesn't have that many chairs, though) and kitchen. The location was my favourite, though. It is close to the Ostbahnhof and has an Edeka that's open 7-23 every day AND 8-23 ON SUNDAY which is a damn miracle in Germany. There's also a bunch of other shops and eateries around, and the Werksviertel itself is very beautiful in a glass-and-neon way, it's all lit up at night and even has a Ferris Wheel 🎡. It does get a bit crowded on weekend nights because of the clubs etc, but it didn't bother me when inside and created a very bright atmosphere when outside.

Frankly, the only thing I can think of is the lack of an oven, which, when compared to other Munich hostels, is hardly a slight worth mentioning. Uh, perhaps the need to put your own sheets on, which is rather loud and frustrating when done late at night? The bed sheet is barely big enough for the mattress, so it may take a while to do it properly.
