We spent a week in the hotel in April. It is a beautiful property and a great base for walks to Hertenstein, Vitznau and to the cable car to mount Rigi. The hotel is near the ferry dock which provides an easy way to reach the many small pretty towns on the Lake Lucerne. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast buffet is simply delicious! It is a very good opportunity to sample local breads, cheeses and cold meat cuts, and the hostess will also cook eggs to your liking. Our room with the lake view was so pretty! Highly recommend the hotel.

This is a family-run hotel with history and a great view. We liked our room, the newly installed AC, and the water pressure. It was a quiet hotel, we never heard any noise. The breakfast is full of fresh food and homemade stuff. We also dined twice in the hotel restaurant, one of the region's best. The prices are Swiss-standard, meaning high. But the portions are big and the food is delicious. The hotel is also very close to the Luftseilbahn to Rigi and the ship station.

The parking spots are few. We were afraid to leave and come back to a full parking lot. So we did not use our car. The pool is nice, and they provide towels, but I did not like that we were not allowed to sit near the pool. It is the pool of the next-door hotel. I understand their guests have priority, but it wasn't easy to observe my children in the pool without anywhere to sit. On the last day, I got a reclining chair and to be honest, noone said anything.

Absolutely love this hotel, we didn’t want leave! Our room was spotlessly clean and well equipped with a comfy beds and oh my goodness the view out of the window over the lake! Breakfast was simple but fresh and good quality. We loved having access to swim in the lake and use a paddle board. Great location to explore Mount Rigi and Lake Lucerne. Would recommend to everyone!!

This is a very small thing because everyone deserves time off but we were sad that we couldn’t try the pizza restaurant due to being closed Mon & Tues - however the hotel made it very clear before we arrived

The location is great, and parking spots right across from the hotel entrance, which was very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed over Easter break and received beautiful Easter bunny bags, which we thought were a lovely touch. Breakfast was nice, and the restaurant is excellent (recommend the pizza 100% - they have proper kitchen oven and an Italian chef who makes them). The room was very large and had a nice balcony.

The only complaint was that we booked a double room and in our case it was two single beds pushed together rather than a standard double bed so it was not very comfortable because there was a gap right down the middle of the bed and if we moved too much the beds divided but asides from this, everything else was perfect.

Very nice small hotel at an excellent location. Friendly and helpfull staff. Cozy restaurant wit hogh quality food.

The hotel does not have air conditioning. In de summer period rooms get very hot, and remain unpleasantly warm during the night.

We loved everything! The room was beautiful, and we received such a warm welcome from the hotel. Since we arrived late with our two little kids, we ordered food from room service — it was delicious and the portions were huge. The view was absolutely stunning. We did make one silly mistake though: we opened all the windows at night, which invited a lot of insects into the room!

we couldn’t have breakfast by the lakeside, which would have been perfect.

My young daughter and I absolutely loved this place. We arrived in the evening after normal hours and the owners had been in touch beforehand and left our key with some instructions which was most thoughtful and helpful. The pool was right by the lake and such a joy to relax in after a long drive. We had a quite expensive but really delicious meal at the hotel next door (as it was the Seehotel's day off). Breakfast was nice but maybe could have included some hot options (it's possible I missed this!). We were kindly allowed to leave our car in the car park until mid-afternoon while we got the ferry to Lucerne and back. A perfect stay.

The views were breathtaking, the dinner at the restaurant was great with huge portions, the large bathrooms, the comfortable rooms, daily housekeeping

Breakfast was very basic, no hot options in eggs except boiled, cold breads (no other bakery products). But large spread of cheese. The only way to access anything in the Lucerne neighborhood is to take the ferry. Since it was raining during our entire stay, we couldn’t access the hiking around mount Rigi, which is a shame as that’s what we were hoping to do when we booked the property. So we had to commute in the ferry everyday, the ferry timings are not very frequent, which meant waiting for long durations.

This is a family run hotel and you can notice this immediately as everyone was super friendly and helpful. We had a 'basic' room, but this one was spacious, separate bathroom and toilet and had a terrace with view on the lake. We also had a great evening at the restaurant with the twins Gabor and Adam and the food was great. Overall are stay exceeded our expectations, we will come back!

Our room was in between two floors, which was a bit difficult to reach with the baby stroller as the elevator didn't reach in between floors. But we booked the same day so we fully understand that this could not be taken into account and we did manage perfectly in the end. Nothing else to add, our stay was wonderful.

My stay here was only for one night, but the hospitable hosts made it very comfortable and unforgettable. My room was large, with a large bathroom and a lovely terrace. The hotel has a restaurant by the lake with stunning views and serves delicious dishes grilled by the hosts in front of gests. Beatifull beach with sun loungers and access to lake. Lovely breakfast. I definitely recommend this hotel and wish to come back again. Thanks!
