We had a really nice stay here. Comfortable room and an excellent onsite restaurant. Beautiful view of the lake. Loved pushing the button and having the exterior shutters lower and close at night. We ate at the restaurant both nights we stayed. What really stood out was the service we received from Gabriela. I don’t normally make note of names, but our experience at the restaurant led to some reflection on how much an excellent, truly professional server can enhance a dining experience. I am so thankful. Back to the hotel… 9 points. One point subtracted due to the bed being kind of sunken in on one side such that my wife and I had to sleep head-to-foot. Other than that, everything was great. It worked out well to stay here and take the boat into Lucerne. The boat dock is a 6-minute walk, and it’s a lovely ride of about an hour or so.

Friendly helpful staff and a beautiful location to stay. The breakfast was fantastic and the service excellent. The restaurant, which is part of the hotel, was very convenient and the quality of food we experienced was very high. I would stay here again given the opportun ity.

The distance from lucerne can be an issue due to being off the main transport line. This however can be a turned to a positive thing for the following reasons. Firstly the opportunity to catch the ferry into town or back is a beautiful experience on a sunny day. Secondly the location on the lake is tranquil and has that village feel rather than the busy city feel. It really depends what you want.

The staff were all extremely welcoming and quite simply, lovely. My daughter of 4, who doesn't speak a word of German, said one of the waitresses/hosts was now her 'best friend,' and she was sad to leave. Really absolute A+ service throughout, always a smile. The breakfast was terrific as well. Delicious cappuccino and a broad selection of everything. Bread, croissants (laugen, even!), yoghurt, pastries and cake. My daughter went to the buffet four times; we've never seen her enjoy breakfast as much as here. Oh, and the fresh orange juice was delicious, too.

Why when you reserve in person for dinner at the hotel where you are staying does it take three people to check your reservation and then for someone to come out with a clipboard to check the reservation again? Not very welcoming One member of the restaurant staff was officious and dismissive of our requests so we cancelled and went to the nearby Rossli hotel which was super welcoming and had friendly staff.

The view of Lake Lucerne from our room and balcony was wonderful. We really enjoyed the peaceful area also (not busy like Lucerne but close enough to get there by car or ferry). The food at the hotel exceeded our expectations. There's a cable car lift to a high vantage point within walking distance to the hotel. We wanted to do it but it was raining hard during that available time so we couldn't.

There was some mold on the pebble shower floor around the drain. I mentioned it to the staff and they came quickly to remedy it. The hallway from the hotel rooms to the restaurant is very stark and plain. It feels like a service entranceway (a little decor would go a long way).

Very clean and modern hotel, with gorgeous views of Lake Lucerne. We had a superior room with a lake view and were very glad that we did - absolutely worth the extra cost. The hotel is very conveniently located for lake boat trips, about 9 minutes on foot to the pier. For many other attractions in the area, a car would probably be needed. Free, garage parking under the hotel was very convenient. The fridge provided in the room was much appreciated. Excellent, powerful shower with a good, stable temperature adjustment. The restaurant was a gastronomic delight - if you could afford it! Excellent breakfast buffet, with a cook-to-order option included in the price.

The blind and light controls were a bit finickity to work out - drove us mad at one point! The exterior metal blinds themselves were a good, high-end touch, we thought - until the wind picked up overnight and they started rattling loudly. As there were no interior curtains (just a lightweight screen), opening the blinds would mean light streaming in early, so not an ideal option either. The restaurant was very expensive (by UK standards) - we only had one course each and a couple of alcoholic drinks for around 100CHF - and we stayed down the cheaper end of the menu! BUT... to be fair, the food we had was excellent. The hotel staff were generally very friendly and helpful, although we had a language issue with servers at dinner that soured things a little.

Great chef restaurant Parking is free We had a wonderful time staying in this hotel The staff service was excellent to the smallest detail in order for us to enjoy our stay. We will return to this hotel for sure 👍🙏

We stayed at Niederbauen room, and has a stunning view of the mountain and lake. The room is very spacious and clean, there is a balcony, sofa, and a spa bath. The pillow was too soft for me, but they have a pillow & duvet menu (yes, you read it right - PILLOW AND DUVET Menu!!), so you can request which pillow you preferred. Staff is professional and friendly. The breakfast is pretty good. Highly recommend this accommodation!

Beautiful location on the lake with a great lakeside shady terrace where delicious meals were served good half board option.

Maybe some screening to separate the terrace restaurant from the swimming area. Otherwise everything was perfect.

The hotel is located at the bank of Lake Lucerne with magnificent views toward the surrounding hills and the lake. It is mesmerizing. The establishment run by a wonderful Family with passion, professionalism and personal touch. Each guests welcomed and treated with care and love. Since I had my birthday on the weekend - we have received an upgrade to a beautiful suite which was full window, overlooking lake Lucerne, within the suite there was a jacuzzi. The location is quiet, yet, many things to do around. You can also take boat trip, go for a hike, etc. Within a hotel there is a fantastic restaurant - with great Chef and culinary, hospitality team - which is popular by locals and tourists equally. The food is amazing - we had Asian food. The breakfast offers healthy food with fresh local ingredients, from farmers near by - on the buffet menu: fresh cuts, various breads, cheese, fruits, vegetables, sweets, and hot drink and eggs offered everyone as per their taste. The Service Team is the Gem of this hotel - we were just humbled by the treatment of the Team. There is a safe, free underground parking with plenty of places. Thank you very much for the special birthday arrangement, the upgrade, the birthday cake, the kind celebration and chocolates. We are already planning our return trip and waiting to spend few days at the hotel. Our experience was magical, and exceeded our expectation. Yvett
