I stayed here with my family of 5 which meant we got to stay in the old homestead part which was lovely. The room had just received an upgrade with a new air-conditioning unit and the heating was very welcome! We just needed somewhere for 1 night on our way from Brisbane down to the Hunter Valley and the Inn was not far off our route. It was also not far at all into Armidale for plenty of food options; I can recommend Burger Bulls and Goldfish Bowl Bakery! Such a beautiful spot, very picturesque, would happily stay here again.

The only thing I really needed was a cooktop as I had dietary requirements that meant I needed to prepare some food for myself. It did have a microwave and a fridge but it felt a little awkward to wash up dishes in the bathroom. It was fine for a 1 night stay though.

Room was large and pleasant. Good if you're just passing through and don't want to go into Armidale itself. Lady at reception was lovely and offered a free bit of homebaked slice to take to the room. Bed was comfortable.

I arrived well after dark (time advised). I would have liked to get to the room with blinds closed and some lights on. The outside lights aren't very good and the parking where my room was, was awkward. There's a screen door, but you can't lock it? Motel is hard to see from the road at night, and not much lighting along the laneway to the reception. Room was very cold on arrival.

The historic building housing the reception area and breakfast room is delightful. Being five minutes from town the setting is picturesque and tranquil. There are views of the lovely grounds and countryside out of the picture windows in the bedrooms. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the spacious rooms and having the lounge chairs and chair at the bench and crockery and cutlery which made it easy to eat in the room. We especially enjoyed eating breakfast in the lovely dining room. The breakfast options were excellent (continental to cooked options) and good value and the service efficient and very friendly. We have stayed in many places over the years when visiting Armidale and we will be returning to this one. We decided to stay an extra night because we thought it was so lovely.

Beautiful place, set in rolling Hills, rural setting, very quiet at night. You can sit on chairs at a small table outside your room looking down into the valley. Rooms are very generously sized, stylish and with everything you need. Super clean. Great bed, good lighting, table and chairs which are a cut above the usual motel cheap upholstered variety. Love the scented jasmine in large pots outside each room, as well as a fly wire door. The other side of the room has sliding door to the beautiful views with screens too. Breakfast in the dining room is always nice, with lovely views of the garden and the valley beyond. Continental breakfast is very reasonably priced for everything you get, cereals, juice, toast with different types of bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit, pears and peaches, tea coffee etc. you can get a cooked breakfast too. Staff are very nice and welcoming, even extending a lovely home-cooked brownie on arrival. This is a cut above the usual motel, it’s classy, in a gorgeous setting at a very reasonable price.

It is out of town a tad, which doesn’t worry us as we love the rural setting. You would need a car. Only other comment is that we’re not keen on showers in baths.

The location for a start. Beautiful rural outlook off the main roads. The room was open, with table and chairs, along with a lounge chair. Plenty of cupboard space available, if planning a long stay, and the bed was so comfortable, with extra pillows and blankets, if needed. The bathroom was spacious. Kitchen facilities are included, but there is a dining room on site. This is a great place for a short or long stay. Recommend it highly

Nothing to dislike

Great location, the reception area was lovely, seperate toilet to bathroom, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, good parking area, away from the road with minimal noise and lovely views. The chocolate fudge/brownie was delicious and when we were put in the wrong room it was corrected promptly.

Rooms a little bit basic for cost, restaurant wasn’t operating, thorny rose bushes at either side of the gap when trying to get to your car not good for elderly people.

The beautiful garden setting. Comfy bed. Good linen and pillows. The room was light, clean, comfortable and relaxing. The brownies were a welcome change from the usual biscuits. Parking in front. Able to sit in front of the room and watch the view.

We had settled in and started to unpack when the manager informed us she'd made a mistake with our room, and moved us to another. Yes, mistakes do happen. However she should have been more helpful and apologetic. We felt quite uncomfortable at being rushed to another room while being told we could take the coffee we'd made with us! Not a good welcome after a day travelling! Some mould around edge of bath.

Warm, large, comfortable rooms in a quiet country setting. The heater in the bathroom was a treat in winter! Breakfast in the Inns Old Chapel was excellent and good value. Highly recommend the omelette! The history of Moore Park is interesting and the buildings well maintained. Excellent wood heaters in the main building, and even a grand piano! Friendly and hospitable Innkeeper too.

It’s on the edge of town, so check if the restaurant is open in the evening, you may need to drive into town for dinner. The Innkeeper has some good recommendations for places to go.

Moore Park is a series of motel units situated in a lovely parkland setting 2 - 3 kms outside the townsite so a car is necessary. The units are a little dated but clean and comfortable for a short stay. When visiting Armidale a trip to the New England Art Gallery is a must for anyone interested in early Australian art.

The shower is situated over the bath which ordinarily isn't a problem but we found this bath/ shower very slippery with no support ie handrail or rubber mat for the bath so it could be dangerous for someone who is a little unsteady stepping in and out of the bath.

After a long and tiring drive we received a warm and friendly greeting on arrival at this wonderful motel set in a quiet semi-rural location. Our spacious newly renovated and air conditioned room was fully equipped for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable. An evening storm cooled the air and we then dined in town (10 minutes drive away) at the 'White Bull'. After a very good rest a continental breakfast set us up for the onward journey.
