I liked the staff, the room and the cleanliness. The room was well air conditioned
In the evening, I went down to buy some bottles of water. A customer in front of me asked the receptionist if it was possible to get a jug of water to take to her room. The response from the receptionist was she could take some hot water from the coffee machine to her room but she refused to provide tap water, then continued to say, this is an ibis budget??. When I went down for breakfast the next morning, there was a water dispenser available which I saw the staff filling up with water from a jug. Why isn't the water dispenser available throughout the day and night for all customers? No customer should be made to feel like they have to buy water. This was my only dislike on my stay.

Felt cozy and the staff were so sweet and polite. I felt really accommodated. Good range of food and snacks to purchase from as we got hungry overnight. Breakfast was £17 for the both of us and there was a wide variety of options. Opted for orange juice, coffee, toast, ham & cheese with some pastries and an orange. Help yourself situation, which is ideal. Great value and lovely lovely staff.
The bathroom, although well built and well lit, really needs to have a scent diffuser. Upon entry the bathroom was a bit smelly. It would also be great to have an additional light in the walk-in part as the room is really dark despite turning the main light on and rolling up the curtain since the big light isn’t on the ceiling, but rather in the corner by the bed. But honestly still good value the lovely staff and food made up for it.

Newly crafted, the property features vibrant panels in the hallways, photo posters of tennis players, and conveniently distributed electrical outlets. Our room, offering basic amenities, was snug, immaculate, and well-kept. The hotel's restaurant presented an extensive selection of breakfast foods. Additionally, the shower's water pressure was superb. Nestled in a diverse section of East London, the location is excellently served by public transport, providing easy access to the city's other areas. P.S. It's a good thing that the beds could be separated because my father snores like a sawmill! The last thing I want is his warm breath on my neck. Yikes!

The property is great in terms of value-for-money in such an expensive city as London. It feels more like student dorms than a hotel but there's nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness or facilities. The room was fairly small for two persons but it serves the purpose of having a good night's sleep. There's no space for a wardrobe or something like that but they could've installed a couple of shelves or clothes hangers on the wall. The bathroom, on the other hand, was spacious. In terms of location, it's far in the east of London, but Barking station is 10-minute walk away, from which you can take the district line directly to central London (ca. 30-minute ride) or an overground train to Stratford station, which is well connected with the many other locations in London including Stansted airport.
Not enough shelves/hangers to put your clothes

The double bed had a mattress topper and was very comfortable, the bunk bed didn't and wasn't. The bunk bed bedding wasn't as clean as we would have liked, but we checked in very late so went with it. The walls are very thin so we were kept awake but a group of noisy guests. The hotel team dealt with this well. The bathroom was much bigger than we expected and the shower was great.

Stayed in Ibis Budget 4 times so experienced a variety of rooms - for 2 and 3 people. All were clean and fresh. 2 singles were the smallest but perfectly fine for a couple of days. triple room had a double and bunk bed. As I was with my son that was good for us both. Strangely was also put in the triple disabled room at one point, so can verify it has lots of space for wheelchair users moving around the room. A double bed and single, with ensuite shower with a pull-down wall seat. Staff were very helpful and tried to let me into the room as soon as they could (I arrived before check-in time). They also helped book taxis. Very friendly lot.
No hairdryer. Wasn't aware of this at booking. Got a bit stuffy in the evening and couldn't really open the windows if in a front-facing room due to traffic noise.

The air conditioning was perfect, especially considering we had a long day out in the sun and needed to cool off. I also appreciated the checkout time (12 noon) rather than the usual 10-11am check out time. Gave my partner and I plenty of time to wake up, get ready, pack and leave.
Getting to the location on foot with a small suitcase was a little inconvenient. The hotel is at least a 15minute walk from Barking Station, and at some points you have to cross uneven pavements. Additionally, it's important not to get confused with the other ibis hotel that's closer to the station (and where the front-desk staff have a poor attitude, when I mistakenly went into it thinking I was booking in at the right hotel).

Wonderful staff, very helpful and polite. I didn't have breakfast while I was there but the breakfast looked decent. Me and my daughter had a pizza while we was there and it was yummy. We would definitely stay there again if we ever come back down to London
Every time we had the air con on the room, the room got smelly. I thought it was the drains but it wasn't. Pizza was good but abit overpriced.

The property was clean and comfortable. Our room with twin beds was spotless and cosy. The television was great to have. The shower was hot and had good power.
There wasn’t too much I didn’t like although they could probably do with having more than one microwave - looking at the queue of young people waiting for it on our first evening. The corridor on the first floor had a very bad smell when we arrived but this seemed to dissipate so maybe it was just something that happened on the day.

Very tidy and clean. Comfortable beds. Good showers. Staff are warm and friendly.
1. The twin bedded rooms face the main road; traffic noise can be a bit of an issue at night if you are a light sleeper. We had to change one of our two rooms to a double that was not facing the road, staff were kind enough to accommodate it. 2. Needed an iron to press the clothes. Was unavailable. These are though relatively minor issues, would not stop us from wanting to go back.
