Beautiful, quaint ,cosy , home away from home hotel in a great location, easy access to other towns and cities with free parking. The staff are very warm and friendly. Breakfast staff welcome you with a very warm and friendly smile and chat , a great start to the day. John the gentleman at the reception is a great asset to the hotel. He is so friendly and warm ever willing to help. He is a multi tasker. Very willingly fixed our very tall ceiling hight curtain past 5 pm bringing over a tall ladder with a friendly smile. Such staff are rare and the owner should treasure him. He was so passionate about the hotel and Mildenhall.

We were disturbed by the footsteps from the room above. Definitely sound proofing is needed !!!!

Everything was perfect, we arrived early to a very warm welcome and the host acted quickly to get our rooms ready. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy with everything you could ask for - we loved the little sweets touch for the children it made their day. we had 4 meals there, breakfast twice, Lunch and Dinner - every single meal was fantastic, lots of choice and perfectly cooked and presented. Every single staff member was brilliant too, they honestly couldn't help enough. Polite, tended to all needs , well presented and professional.

The room was poor very quality 😢 Shower door was hanging of it's wheels so it wouldn't slide open, and when the staff tried to moved the door, it was on its runners on the top but the bottom of the door it was not attached.. One window was totally covered over with wood. So it was not possible to see out or let light any in, it made it very dark. So we were moved to a lot smaller room from a larger family room. We were not offered any money back despite it was a lot smaller and no garden view, which we had with the other room and paid more money for. Very very disappointed.

The hotel was lovely and airy, Our room was big and light overlooking the quiet gardens. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were beautiful Egyption cotton. The staff were kind and generous with their smiles, and when my husband was taken isuddenly ill ( underlying condition) the memagement did everything possible to make him comfortable. My most ardent compliments go to the chef. There was no main course vegan option on the menu, but every night the chef cooked me something nutritious and delicious. It was some of the best food i have ever tasted.

Convenient location with great parking. Lovely building, a bit quirky which I like. The room was large (the room upgrade we were offered was totally worth it) and the breakfast was excellent. Beautiful garden too. Friendly staff and love that there’s a bar dog!

The set three-course dinner menu (which we’d pre-paid for at a discount) was fairly limited and looked like cheaper food than the main menu - wish we hadn’t been tempted by the offer. The usual heating system in our room wasn’t working, but a fan heater was provided so not a major issue. Mattress was a bit lumpy and one of the shower doors wouldn’t close properly. Not enough staff in the restaurant (at dinner/breakfast).

This hotel is in a Beautiful old building, well cared for and well maintained. Our large comfortable room overlooked the spacious garden, right on the riverside. The restaurant served very good food, even had a few vegan options which I appreciated. The bar was well stocked and easy going. From the bar we took our drinks out onto the large patio and enjoyed the garden. The staff were absolutely lovely people. We had never experienced the fully automated self check in process before and they were happy to walk us through it. Everyone was friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived. We felt so comfortable there, like we were welcomed guests in their home. It is easy walking to the center of town and several good restaurants, and close to the Air Force base. This will be my regular place every time I visit Mildenhall. It was absolutely delightful.

I would have liked some tourist brochures. Yes everyone has a phone these days but sometimes it's It's easier to refer to a paper when you are someplace without service. Other than that, I had no issues, thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Such a warm and welcoming hotel. Met all our needs. Can't speak too highly of the staff and the way we were treated. Although it's an old building with all the issues needed to maintain old property, you can see and appreciate the effort put in to keep its originality. Ideally located for visiting surrounding attractions. The menue to breakfast and evenings catered for all tastes and again went the extra mile to meet our needs. Good standard of housekeeping Will certainly return.

Well, there's not much to comment on here. Lift a bit slow and basic. WiFi dropped out occasionally, but that was being attended to.

What was meant to be a day trip up and back from Cornwall for a meeting turned into me, sat in a car park, searching hotels at 8 pm on a Friday because Murphy's Law laughed at my hubris. I booked and drove directly there, arriving about 10 minutes after booking. Despite my late, unexpected arrival during the middle of dinner service, they met me with smiles, kindness, and patience. They sorted my check-in and sorted my bad day with a much-needed glass of wine. The room itself was perfect for my needs, but it would have suited for a longer stay, too. I had the family room (my young daughter was with me), air we both found the beds to be super comfortable and a much needed respite from my poor planning. I actually suffer from OCD, so normally, I keep that in mind when I discuss cleanliness. However, I can say that I was relieved to find that it was spotless, smelled fresh and inviting, and I was happy that I could walk around on the floor without slippers (you don't know me, but those who do would be surprised by this). The linens were crisp and fresh, the pillows were so comfortable, the coffee service was stocked and such a blessing this morning. I didn't make it to breakfast, unfortunately, but judging from the rest of my stay, I'm sure it would have been fantastic. Parking was abundant. I couldn't hear any other patrons, which meant I slept a little better than I meant to (hence the missed breakfast). All around, it was just a fantastic stay. I can't thank the staff enough for saving me from myself, and I highly recommend them. I will definitely be staying again next time I'm up...but I'll prebook this time, and maybe even bring a change of clothes or toiletries. 😂

Overall excellent accommodation and very helpful and welcoming staff. Lovely large bedrooms even with air conditioning! I have stayed in 4* accommodation and not been as good as this 3* hotel. Lovely gardens to sit in by the river. Both breakfast and dinner were very nice and good value.

Bird poo on garden tables and chairs....I reported but nothing was done about it which was slightly disappointing.

The staff here helped me out of a tricky situation a couple of months ago, after an issue with a local b and b. Hence I came to stay again. Comfy bed, decent size walk-in shower and the high pressure shower head was great. The cooked breakfast is excellent, as is the offering at the breakfast bar.

No air con in my room (opening windows was enough on this occasion but I doubt this would suffice in warmer weather). The enclosed space between the toilet lid and seat was filthy and has clearly not been cleaned for a while.
