We booked this hotel while competing at the PCA Universe Championships, which was held at the Connexin Live Centre—literally right next door—so the location couldn’t have been more convenient. The hotel is also situated right in the heart of Hull city centre, making it easy to explore with plenty of restaurants, malls, and shops all within walking distance. It was easy to find, clean, and overall a very practical choice for the occasion.

There’s no on-site parking, but there is an affordable and secure garage just next door, which was only £3 per day. We also had a less-than-positive interaction with staff when eating rice cakes in the foyer area, which doubles as the café. While we understand their policy, many athletes staying that weekend were on strict competition diets, and a bit more understanding and flexibility from the staff would have been appreciated. A more patient, accommodating approach would have made a big difference.

Rooms are basic but what do you want from a budget hotel , Check in was great , Check out simple and easy, Bed was comfortable room nice temperature for you to control , bathroom nice plenty hot water, basic tv. Breakfast £10 if you book when checking in plenty of food available except no fried , boiled , or poached eggs. I am amazed after reading some of the reviews about the hotel ,its a budget hotel which i think is value for money.

The fact I turned up 5 minutes before check in to be told there was a treat waiting in my room! Well, I don't win raffles nor the lottery, so I was curious. Ok, it wasn't either of the above mentioned but it was I had been chosen as the chosen "guest of the day" I had a bottle of wine and some nibbles. It was the fact that there is the focus on guests and it's not just a bed for the night. Very chuffed at this gesture. And, unbeknown to the reception staff, I am challenged with my limited mobility, but hadn't said anything during the booking, so when the member of staff said I was on the ground floor, that was a little like winning a raffle 😂

Breakfast was good apart from the fact that only scrambled eggs were on display. No fried eggs but I must confess that we did not ask if they could be cooked to order. Plates were very small and food ended up in a pile which made it difficult to eat. We suspect this is to keep down food wastage which on balance isn't a bad idea.

Eating area had more of a canteen feel as opposed to the advertised "restaurant". Nevertheless it was clean and airy and the food whilst basic arrived quickly and lived upto expectations.

Room was spotlesslessly clean. Bed really comfortable, slept like a baby. So did jakey ( my furbaby) staff were brilliantly friendly and helpful. Jakey loved them. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a great choice (Jakey loved the sausages) reception and restaurant were comfy and spotless. If you're looking for comfort and pet friendly hotel. Look no further than this hotel. Can't fault it. Didn't get to have dinner this time or use the 24hr food but I will definitely bring jakey back for another visit. Might even treat my daughter??? Or keep it just for me lol

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lots on the menu to choose from with very good prices. Loved the breakfast buffet, too! A big selection of food to choose from, and it was great to have this on until 12 pm. The room was lovely and clean and quiet. The bed and pillows were comfy. It was nice to see there were extra pillows in the wardrobe if needed. The bathroom was better than expected as i was expecting an open-plan bathroom in the bedroom. Was a treat to have checkout time at 12 pm.

The lift was clean, and you can tell it's cleaned often, but it did smell old and fusty. I can only presume it was the flooring in the lift or maybe the lift shaft itself. The lighting over the tables in the reception area were a little bright for an evening meal, if these could be dimmed then it would feel more cosy and not feel like you're on display in the window. Both points weren't very big issues, though.

Breakfast included wasn't on the system but the staff rectified it for us no problem.Breakfast was good ,best sausage had at a buffer for a long time.Staff were friendly.Room clean.Good location once we found our bearings.

It was a little tight space for my husbands powerchair to say it was a n accessible room.we were by an air-conditioning system I think which was only quiet for a few hours overnight but we slept ok.No noise from any other residents.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Reception always staffed. Food available until 10pm and bar snacks at other times. A safe short walk from Hull Paragon Interchange. Warm room and lovely big showers in ensuite. Very comfortable bed. Toiletries plentiful. Tea, coffee and hairdryer in room. Good free WiFi

On my first trip although the room was clean it was a bit tired looking and carpet stained but on my second trip the room I had felt fresher. Power socket next to the bed and a bench seat with cushion for sitting and watching TV. This was missing in the first room I had.

The location was really good, close to train station and the city centre. Basic facilities, but very clean!

I originally booked 4 rooms but cancelled 2 of the a few days before and received confirmation that 2 rooms had been cancelled free of charge But I I checked in at the hotel for the two rooms I was told that they had no notice of me cancelling the other rooms I showed them the confirmation of the cancellation on my phone that I have received and they apologised I have since received an email saying that we were a no show and are being charged
