Services, included dinner, were all of first class. The garden is an oasis of mesmerising beauty and tranquility in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The structure is a villa full of echoes from the colonial and literary past of Tangier. I appreciated being upgraded in a larger room. Youssef, the hotel manager, takes care of everyone and everything in a charming way and he is the real soul of the hotel.

The old villa covered by a jungle like garden Is like a vision of a bygone era. The staff Is kind and always ready to help. They prepared a great breakfast, printed our boarding pass, provided pool towels etc... We explored many hotels in Tangier but this Is the most charming of all. You will keep taking photos at every corner of the garden and the interior.

Many guests might find old pavements, handles, lack of aircondition a problem but in my opinion this Is part of the unique beauty of the villa. I actually suggest the owner to never restore the edifice and leave It the way It is. Air condition in Tangier is useless. The weather Is perfect.

The property was amazing, from the rooms to the dining areas and the swimming pool. Everything is very clean and the interior and gardens are beautiful. Youssef and the staff were very accommodating and organised everything, including the transfers and excursions. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was very delicious including the breakfast (wide range of different types of breads, pancakes, spreads, fruits, fresh OJ, eggs) and dinner (we had the seafood paella, fish, and chicken tagine). The property is also in a very good location within walking distance to markets, restaurants and the beach.

We really liked the design and the atmosphere. You can feel the esthetics of the early 20th century. Everything is made with a very good taste, including the room and the restaurant/reception area. The garden is also very nice. Our room was comprised of 2 bedrooms, small living room, entrance hall and a bathroom. The main bedroom (with double bed) faces internal yard, while another bedroom faces street. The personnel was polite and friendly. Breakfast was tasty (omelette, bread and pastries with butter and jams). The location is good, 5-15 min to Medina. There is no parking but public parking (4-5 dirham per hour) is about 3 min walking from the place.

It could be a bit noisy at night (due to the road nearby). There are stairs from the street to reach the property

Last stop on the trip and what a punctuation. I received incredible hospitality and warmth from manager Youssef and Buzidi. Both are so accommodating, kind and attentive. Stunning lush gardens blanket the property with plenty of sunny alcoves to enjoy the views of Tangier or cool off in the pool. Delicious dinner served at the property complete with Moroccan creme brule. Thank you Mimi Calpe team for making my last hours in Morocco so enjoyable! 5+ stars!

Second time I’ve been here and it just makes you want to come back time and time again. Youssef and staff are very helpful and friendly. It’s like staying in the secret Garden and with different layers to it, you’ll be sure to find your own private piece of the garden. After three weeks in Morocco this is the perfect place to relax and the end of your holiday. The place itself is close to the medina. They even have tortoises that roam the garden. I’m already thinking about going back.

We stayed in the garden room which was on the whole lovely but be aware it’s quite small for 2 people, also the shower water leaked under the door and into the bedroom so be careful if you have anything near the bathroom door as it will get wet, breakfast was ok but to be honest not the best I’ve had in Morocco !

Mimi Calpe is one of the loveliest and most unique boutique hotels I have ever stayed at. Entering through the front gate, we were transported from the busy streets of downtown Tangier to a garden paradise. The staff was kind, helpful, and professional, and ensured we were comfortable throughout our stay. The gardens and pool are stunning and peaceful. Our favorite part of the stay was our room, the treehouse bungalow. It was heavenly to return after a day of sightseeing, walk up the steps through the garden, and arrive at our private, rustic retreat with views of the waterfront. We loved sitting on the little porch in front of our room, watching the birds on the property. Breakfast was divine each morning, and we had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at the hotel one night, which was artfully and carefully prepared. Everything the staff does at Mimi Calpe is done with great care. My husband and I miss it already and will be back.

It feels like staying in a house not a hotel. The garden is on a slope with several places to look at the view , sit by the pool or have a delicious meal . I stayed in the Tree House which is wonderfully private, close to the pool and has a great view especially at night. Mimi Calpe is close to the port and just round the corner to the reasonable restaurants on the front and yet a short walk to the Medina. The staff are warm and friendly and make it their business to make sure you are happy. I had one meal which was completely delicious with the freshest freshest fish.

Nothing but I should point out that the Tree House is up a lot of steps. I was much fitter after 4 days but might deter someone with bad knees. But then Tangier is up and down everywhere.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Tangier last week. The rooms were incredibly beautiful, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The garden and pool area were simply stunning, providing a serene environment for relaxation. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We also greatly enjoyed dining at the hotel; the food was delicious and the service impeccable. Additionally, the hamam and massage services offered were top-notch, adding to the overall relaxation and enjoyment of our stay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tangier!

However, there were a few minor drawbacks. Our room faced the street, and some nights were quite noisy, which affected our sleep.
