Room and bathroom clean but very tiny. We had to take turns opening the suitcases in the doorway of the bathroom. The neighborhood is quiet, you can sleep peacefully at night. Very close to the subway. Breakfast varied, you can choose something for yourself. However, every day exactly the same. Rooms cleaned daily.

Unpleasant staff. They seem nice until you ask for something. For leaving your suitcase for an hour after check out you have to leave 20 euros, and they put it at the entrance in view of everyone. You need to leave your door card each time you go out, and ask for it each time you enter. It's truly inconvenient especially if there are guests at the counter. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. No little fridge.

To be honest I do not know why tere is so many bad opinions. Yes rooms are small, but you are in the old city center and for this price this is what you can expect. Otherwise - the room was cosy and clean. We had nice view for the yard. It was quiet. If you travel with lots of language you may have a problem to fit it, but we had just two small bags and for two nights it was ok. So I would totally recommend this hotel for short, city breaks etc. For longer stay it my by a little bit tight. Bathroom was actually big enough and comfortable. Stuff was very polite and helpful. location is great 1 min from subway, nice area around.

- there is only one and super small elevator but it was not a problem for us as we could use stairs.

I'd stayed in this hotel before and liked it. This time, we were on the third floor at the back, with a view over the lush green courtyard and the quiet (private) Cité Clussol behind, an intriguing early 19th century warren of housing and artisan shops. Staff are lovely, the room was comfy and quiet, and the shower was excellent. The area is full of small bustling restaurants but the hotel itself is very quiet. The street is right next to Metro Oberkempf for trains to Gare du Nord and to the big department stores for shopping.

The basin plug was broken and glued back together. Get a new one :)

This is my second stay at the hotel, returned for this visit with a group of friends because of the convenience of location for both the Gare du Nord and the Metro. We all prefer to stay in a more residential area and the Alhambra is set in a quiet street but very close to facilities, it’s also easy to walk into town and to bars/restaurants in the Marais and Canal Saint-Martin areas. The bedrooms are small but with good bathrooms and perfectly adequate for our needs as tourists intent on packing a lot in during our short break. Staff are friendly, the hotel is clean and the breakfast good. In summary, the Alhambra worked very well for a group of sightseeing friends and we would all use the hotel again.

The hotel was busy during our visit and the breakfast area struggled to cope with the numbers - it’s small.

A 5 day break in Paris with 2 teenagers. The Hotel Alhambra is in a great location, north of the river, about 15-20min walk from Notre Dame. A Metro stop at the end of the road. A lively area but the street the hotel is on is quiet. We had a junior suite which was really 2 rooms with a sliding door dividing them, and an ensuite bathroom. The sofa bed was ideal for the 2 teens. The rooms aren't huge with really just the floor space around the beds but it's perfectly adequate as we really only slept there. The shower was excellent. There is a wardrobe and some shelves for storage. Buffet breakfast also available for €15 was good. Would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Paris.

Great location with excellent access to metro and restaurants/bars within walking distance. The hotel offers a great area to calm down and relax in their backyard garden after a full day of walking and visiting. Great staff. We would definitely stay there again. The bathroom is very efficient, renovated and everything works wonderfully.

The rooms are a bit small but the beds were very comfortable and the tranquility to get a good nights sleep within such a short distance of all the day life in Paris was definitely worth it.

Excellent location, a few metres away fron the Metro; room was compact but well laid out and excellent value fror money; the hotel has rooms on one side in a quiet side street (despite the fact that it is very near a Metro and main boulevard) and on the other the Hotel's very quite courtyard/ garden area open to residents); there is planty of choice of restaurants and cafes very nearby (L'Officine and L'Astier at the top end a few minutes walk); easy also to walk to Bastille, The Marias and generally any central location - but well placed on the Metro system too; the simple but excellent buffet breakfast with plenty of choice is incredible VFM; a good bathroom and comfortable bed.

The hotel was centrally, located closer to the metro stations and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, clothing stores, and od course Boulangeries for days all kinds of restaurants options aside from French cuisine. Almost everything you might possibly need. The courtyard was inviting, however it was still a bit chilly to enjoy it. Staff was very friendly, and I cannot recommend it enough. Anyone who would like to Stay in Paris should stay at this gem of a place.

Of course being an American, room was smaller than what we’re used to, however, it was nicely appointed.

We spent 3 night at The Alhambra Hotel and we enjoyed it very much. The location is perfect to access every part of Paris. The Oberkampf metro station is a couple of hundreds of metres away from the hotel. Lovely bakeries and bistros within walking distance. The hotel staff was very welcoming, polite, always happy to help. It was very convenient that we could leave our luggage after the check-out for the whole day, free of charge, before our return connection home. We will definitely stay in The Alhambra Hotel again when we come to Paris in the autumn.

The room was very nice, with enough space for 3 people with suitcases. It was a basic room, but it had everything we needed. It was clean and bright. The staff was helpful, easygoing, and nice. There are many nice restaurants, cafes, bars, and bakeries around the hotel a maximum of 5 mins' distance by walk. Metro is just in the corner, and it was very convenient to reach from the train station or go to different parts of the city. Bonus: They let us leave our bags on our last day and we took them back in the evening before leaving the city.

This is a note, they ask you to leave the room key every time you leave the hotel for security. We saw it in Paris multiple places were asking like this, but sometimes it wasn't very pleasant to ask the key back and forth if we forgot anything in the room. There was no room and bathroom ventilation, we had to open the room windows to circulate the air from the humidity in winter. Not a big problem if you have a short stay.
