The villa was situated in what seemed to be a very old city on a hill in the country outside of Milan. It was a very special experience to stay here. The villa and grounds were stunning and I felt like I was living in a history book.

Extra fees for pool (which we didn't usedue to the weather) but most guests would be happy to pay more for their stay and not be nickeled and dimed for extras. The villa is stunning but remote so the more you make it attractive to visiting guests, the better reviews you will receive. Would love the sauna and spa to be available and more affordable to all guests.

The villa was a wonderful stay in a historic place. Very quiet and huge unique rooms. Breakfast was as selected and very good. The grounds were very nice and well maintained. We never saw another guest, Quite a private stay in a huge historic and lovely decorated home. All the staff was exceedingly wonderful and helpful.

That there was an extra fee for the pool (we did not use because of weather) and spa (which we would have used if it was available and more affordable).

This is a one time life experience. They started the business a couple of months ago in a medieval Italian villa which I can admit seemed to me more like a castle than a villa. Ceilings 5 meters high, huge rooms /so far they have got only 3/ decorated like for royalties and bathrooms in pink and green marble with the size of a proper hotel room in Paris. The view, wow, it's breathtaking - a park which belongs to the villa and they just call it "the garden" and the lake of Varese and the snow caps of some Alps peaks in the background. Believe me it's once in a lifetime view. We went there by car /you have a private parking lot just for you/ which we rented from the airport and I strongly recommend everyone should do the same. I guess it's mandatory for that location but on the other hand both lakes Maggiore and Como are very easy to access and that one in Logano as well. It takes approximately 30-40 mins by car to all of them. The host Rita is an amazing young lady ready to help and respond to all of your demands. She recommended us some really nice places to visit and wonderful restaurants in the area. The town of Varese is a 6 min drive away with it's amazing restaurants and historical center.. Overall if you want to know how royalties have lived before and I guess live nowadays and you want to treat yourself like VIP, thats the right place to go. We're definitely going back very soon.

There's nothing to dislike!

This is a classic place, with a vintage look. It is very quiet and offers a beautiful view on the nearby lake and pastures. The room is large and sumptuously decorated (chandelier, ornamental ceiling etc.; the very large bathroom has all amenities and then some, including a very long marble bathtub (besides the shower and double washbasins). The fridge is well stocked (though some more beer might have been a good idea). The breakfast is excellent and enjoyed from inside with a wide view over the garden.

Somewhat surprisingly in view of the stocked fridge, there were no drinking glasses in the room, or in the bathroom (I received one upon asking). And while my booking was respected, others at my party were not so lucky: their booking was revoked by the hotel just before it would have taken effect, which of course is a no-no for any hotel.

I would suggest to higher the nightly rate a bit so u can access the pool without payment.

The property is unique and an experience to visit on its own. Breakfast was well served and delicious.

Antique villa with luxury antique appointments. Friendly and caring staff/ownership. This is an exceptional and luxurious B&B rather than a hotel with, for instance, a 24/7 fitness facility and restaurant service.

Great breakfast, great lake view from the garden, very friendly staff, awesome classic and old building with character, I will come again.
