My room was comfortable and very clean. Everything worked properly - the t.v., the shower. Marc and Sarah were the perfect hosts and I now look upon them as friends. The breakfast menu is quite something! I have never been afforded such a choice. It is possible to stay for a week and eat a different breakfast meal every morning! The Ambassador's location is also just about perfect; a short, flat stroll to the beach and harbour in one direction and equally short and flat to the shops and bus/railway stations in another direction.

What can I say , this has to be the best b and b we have ever stayed in , The owners are so welcoming, nothing is to much trouble , We arrived and felt very welcome from the start , we stayed in room 5 , The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby , We also had a fridge that contained fresh milk which is always good for your morning coffee , Water was also available,The shower is massive , nice temperature, fresh clean towels that smelt so nice I can fault this place , come and stay here it’s so worth the money ,We will definitely be back again soon xx

Sarah and Marc were amazing hosts, friendly and welcoming. Offered tea/ coffee while checking in. Room was clean and comfortable with extra touches coffee machine hot chocolate and Horlick alongside tea bags breakfast and flavoured, also fresh milk in mini fridge, phone chargers and earbuds. Breakfast was fantastic, good quality ingredients especially the sausages and eggs cooked to perfection especially my poached eggs. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this property and we will definitely be booking again.

There wasn’t anything not to like.

We found the facilities to be excellent. We had a lovely sized double room and our daughter had a single room. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We were visiting Devon during a few hot days and it was lovely to have the fan in the room to help cool down. It was also lovely to have the usual tea and coffee but also hot chocolate available as well as bottled water which was refreshed each day. The breakfasts were delicious. We tried the fried breakfast, continental and pancakes and would recommend all three. They certainly don't scrimp on the quality of the food. The location was excellent for everything we needed. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and the seafront of Paignton and again a few minutes walk to the train station for the steam train as well as normal train and bus station. We would recommend Fairy Cove as a quiet little beach that keeps its beach from the tide most of the day and there are also shady spots for those that don't like sitting in full sun all day. We also enjoyed Goodrington beach which has a dog friendly area and a larger part where dogs can't go on. The tide doesn't come in all the way so you can spend all day there and has handy toilets (they cost 30p to use) and a shop, costa and ice-cream counter as well as a pub (watch out for seagulls though with your ice-cream). Plus it was nice to see the steam train go by throughout the day, and it is also where you access the water park.

The only thing that I could say negatively about the facilities is that there is a mini fridge in the rooms, but we didn't realise how mini it was. It is really quite tiny and we could only fit in one bottle at an angle. We had hoped to be able to keep our drink bottles cold but it really wasn't that useful in the end being so small.

The hosts Graham and Lesley are both really lovely people, and are willing to help with any requests. The family room we stayed in is beautifully decorated, very spacious with double bed and two singles, a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers , deluxe coffee maker , water and biscuits provided, there is also a nice shower/ toilet room, great shower 👍 with toiletries. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice. There is also a rather nice bar area. The guest house is perfectly located for both the beach and the town, with lots of restaurants nearby. We had a wonderful stay, and hope to stay again.

-the hosts and b&b owners, Graham and Lesley, are such lovely people ! Very warm, welcoming , funny , accommodating and helpful. The moment I arrived I was offered a cup of tea by Graham - these little touches really make the difference. -the bar is great and very reasonably priced -there is a good choice of breakfasts and it's tasty and filling -the shower is excellent -the TV works -its clean -its just one road off the seafront. Very well connected for all of Torbay, either by foot, car or public transport

-there is zero criticism to give. I would definitely recommend. To be very very picky, I usually don't book hotels on main roads as I find them too noisy to sleep, but this wasn't too bad. The single room for one person is on the front of the property so if you're a light sleeper I'd consider this.

Free parking, excellent remote controlled ceiling fan, mini fridge in room,smart tv plus a well decorated room with a mirror that lights up at a touch, Marc & Sarah are a friendly easy going couple & make you feel at home. Overall a good place to stay in a decent location decent value for money & you won't be disappointed if you stay there. Plus a good choice at breakfast via a pre order system.

4pm check in

Mark & Sarah are really welcoming and know lots about the local area, even though they are quite new to Paignton. The food is excellent quality and cooked exceptionally well. Now over an initial setback of a damaged roof these guys are on track to be one of Paignton's top B&Bs.

Could do with more of a dressing table/chest of drawers area to put toiletries/cosmetics etc when getting ready.

If we had to nit pick then : The sausages were not the best, skin a little tough, seemed more vegan than meaty. A Small detail missed ie: main room fan dusty.

Ambassador guest house is excellent in every way. The room we had was beautiful, really comfy bed, there was plenty of tea and coffee facilities even a coffee pod machine and fridge replenished everyday with juice, milk and cola.. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good quality. Lots of choices, fresh fruit and yogurt, full English, and continental options. The location is perfect for the bus and train stations, also lots of eateries within close walking distance. I could go on and on about how great our stay was. Very good value for money. The hosts very friendly and helpful.
