Excellent location for family weekend at Hamline University. Love the historical aspect of being in ole steam engine repair facility. Convenient for visit to COMO Zoo when we had free time. Breakfast included eggs and sausage with other typical options. Saw sign at hotel for toy train museum which was out of date but we were able to find new location and enjoyed the museum during free time. This was a nice surprise.

Difficulty connecting to WIFI which kept saying no internet. Business office computers didn't work. Thus we couldn't get airline check in completed and when doing it at the airport we got separated middle seats.

Clean room, courteous staff, good breakfast bar, quiet…not a weekend and out before wedding party came.

Room was very clean except for tables, had to wipe them down. The door to room was separated on frame so was a bit of a safety concern. Brought to the staff . TV didn’t work 1st night. Fixed by staff but a lot of work to get it on for just news viewing. Bar w/food service was closed both nights and had invited family over to swim & enjoy happy hour w/food Thursday night😟🥲

One that stood out to me was the pool area. They had two hot tubs on each side and the best one was that they had a sauna. Me and my partner used it and it was an amazing experience!

I didn't like the way how we would have to go in circles just to get to our rooms. If we had a first floor room it probably would be easier. I also didn't like that the parking lot didn't have enough parking. Me and my partner go out late and by the time we come back it's full so we would have to park further down where the apartments are located and it's a long walk back to the hotel.

Very interesting history to the property. Enjoyed reading about the sites previous history and the way inside the building was constructed. The staff were very friendly and helpful! I wish I could remember names but everyone was really nice! Our family group staying there had some local relatives for a get together and it was so accommodating to be able to host them on site at the hotel! Very much appreciated!

Parking was a problem due to the rain received the day prior to our arrival.

Love the character of the hotel. Nice breakfast, wonderful sauna, hot tub & pool. Comfy beds.

Bathroom light is super bright, wonderful for putting in make up, yet awful for midnight trips to the bathroom! A nightlight would be a great addition. The room coffee maker didn't work. Coffee was cold. Powered creamer...ummm...no! Thankfully half and half available in breakfast area.

Really neat hotel built inside of an old train station. Loved how they maintained parts of the old building into the hotel.

Bed was pretty firm and not very comfortable. Room was also too warm with little ability to change temperature. Staff were nice and gave us a fan, to help though. Not enough parking around building. Twice I had to park in the lot next door.

Pool was warm. Liked the sauna and hot tub. Bed was comfy firm but not too firm. Just right . Property is historic train car repair shop- exposed beams, train track visible in floor- high ceilings in common areas- cool.

Parking was a few minutes walk- no problem in summer, maybe an issue in snow

The location was excellent. Walking distance to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Como Zoo and Conservatory were also very close. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Parking lot was too small and the overflow parking lot was a 5 minute walk away lugging luggage. There was only one nightstand for a two bed bedroom. The one nightstand was not between the two beds. The outlets were worn out in the room.

When I got there to check in the front desk lady was on her AirPods laughing and talking. She paid no attention to me like I was some peasant and she didn’t even guide me to a handicapped parking spot and instead told me to park in over flow parking and did not offer any other assistance.

The hotel had a very iconic atmosphere being built inside of a locomotive shop. It had many quaint features such as cement floors and a small depot which houses their breakfast buffet. The staff was very accommodating especially since Booking. Com didn’t secure our booking and we were left hanging on our own. We were given a nice room and the bed was extremely comfortable.
