Very clean and nice grounds

No fridge in the room. No complimentary water in the room. Windows are screwed down shut. Wanted £20 for early check in even though our room was ready and we were 50 minutes early so we declined which wasn’t a good first impression.

The grounds and gardens was amazing the room and lift to pool and cafe and car park Loft window with partial view of the grounds and garden. Lots of outdoor and indoor space to sit quietly or chat. Food choices and price is reasonable very relaxing pool and spa. Plllll

The staff was not flexible and was only a bit willing to help. I'm an elder with a disability and staff watch me struggle to carry a breakfast tray to my room in the rain. A £10 charge for 1 hour use of pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi is seriously overcharge. It was not obvious on hotel details so had awkward conversations about cost.

I very much loved our stay here and cannot wait to revisit this hotel. Very close by car park so you can literally park and walk over with your cases. The team here are wonderful throughout the whole area. Food and service was perfect. We also went to a show “Night of the Musicals” which was amazingly good and great fun. Really good vibes. The spa was great and perfectly round off a lovely chilled weekend.

The only fault was that the gents changing room was closed due to a fault so we had to use the disabled changing area which was a little cramped.

Orsett Hall has always been a luxury place to visit and stay, and it didn’t disappoint this time either. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The reception staff were friendly and accommodating, making check-in a breeze. The rooms were clean and decorated beautifully, featuring elegant furnishings and soothing color palettes. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the tasteful artwork adorning the walls. Service throughout my stay was impeccable; the staff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, Orsett Hall exceeded my expectations with its luxurious ambiance, top-notch service, and exquisite accommodations. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a getaway that combines relaxation and elegance.

We liked it all

My room was larger than I thought it would be, and the bed was very comfortablle. I had the full English breakfast both mornings while I was at Orsett Hall, and it was very nice, albeit somewhat expensive (I live in Tenerife, so everything is so much cheaper there than it is in the UK). The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I had a very enjoyable stay and am thinking of organising my 60th birthday celebration at Orsett Hall next year. To top everything else and make the stay even more enjoyable was the setting and grounds.

My only small gripe was that the toilet paper was very thin and seemed very cheap. I expected better quality loo roll in a hotel of that standing.

Absolutely brilliant stay, just one night ready for cruise holiday, so convenient for Tilbury docks cruise terminal, it was excellent, very comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. Room was lovely, facilities excellent but the restaurant was the crowning glory. Had an exceptionally good evening meal, presentation was amazing, good menu choice and superb food quality. Staff were very attentive too. Breakfast next day was also excellent, great choice and hot breakfast again beautifully cooked and presented. All in all a fab stay and have since recommended to friends. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again. 5 stars 🌟

Nothing to dislike!

As expected, the quality and ambience of the property was outstanding. The room was spacious and clean.

Ben and Kate Friend myself for the last 52 years. I found the quality of the food to be substandard deep-fried roast potatoes bolting Yorkshire puddings and I can only assume instant stuffing. The breakfast it’s £17 ahead was appalling the scrambled egg but no resemblance to what I understand scrambled should be, the fried eggs was solid. I would’ve been dismissed for such a appalling food

I enjoyed the quiet location and spacious grounds. My room was comfortable and spacious. The Café was where I went for dinner and the food was good and bad. The Sea Bass meal was good whereas my meal the night before not so good.

For a 4 Star location I was disappointed with a few details which are: my 1st meal just didn't taste great and the sweet potato chips were quite greasy, the roller blind in room 27 is tatty, the nice new double glazed window cannot be locked shut and therefore keeps opening. Finally the tea and coffee selection had not been renewed on arrival. On day two of my stay it had been serviced and there was a full selection of teas, coffee and sugars etc.

We loved the gardens on arrival. Then we found how lovely the staff were, every single time we spoke to a staff member they were so very pleasant and helpful..especially Rosie on reception. But the cleaning ladies and restaurant and spa ladies were all equally as lovely...honestly I wish more hotels took their warm friendly helpful approach and were less snooty. The restaurant was so very pretty and the breakfast outstanding along with the service. The Elemis spa was a peaceful retreat also for us and we loved it and once again the staff member was so helpful and kind. I couldn't find any individual changing rooms though which would be the only thing I missed especially as the changing facilities are quite small. The guest rooms were very clean and adequate and fresh and modern.... The setting and gardens when you arrive and the reception staff and also the breakfast and breakfast room decor and its staff, and it wouldnt be right not to include the Elemis spa and it's staff are what made Orsett Hall such a pleasurable stay..thank you all!

No separate changing rooms in the Elemis Spa. Otherwise it was perfect! Probably the best Spa iv been too in the South East. A small venue, but mostly perfectly adequate. I would definitely go back. The tranquility there is wonderful!

The food and the cafe and the main restaurant were lovely. We had lunch in the cafe and dinner and breakfast in the main restaurant.

Noise from people talking below bedroom window (which was near the reception) at 230am and 330am. Noise from delivery vans reversing early in the morning too and room next door had their TV on loudly at 730am and I feel this was on the wall through from our bed so it was not a restful experience!
