EVERYTHING! The service is above and beyond the best! The front desk attendants are friendly and extremely helpful, housekeeping is prompt and thorough, the restaurant staff is very efficient. Our room was spacious, light, clean, and comfortable. The shower was hot with fantastic water pressure. The toiletries were first class. The large screen smart TV was a pleasure at night since we don’t go out late. The location is close to the main historic attractions but quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. We spent six nights and hated to leave! I can’t say enough positive comments to do this wonderful hotel justice!

Staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. They were also helpful in responding to my messages through Booking.com prior to my stay and were happy to hold onto our luggage for us prior to check in. The hotel and rooms were beautiful, and the bed very comfy. Water pressure and temp of shower was good. They also upgraded our room to one with a larger bed for free, I think so that they could put us in the room next to our friends who were also staying there. I wish I stayed here longer than 1 night! Can't say much about the location as I arrived late and left early.

Unfortunately the TV wasn't working but we were only there one night so we weren't bothered. I'm sure if we asked the staff to help fix it they would have. The shower could've also benefited from a shower curtain but that's a minor thing.

The hotel is immaculately clean and charming, and the staff is incredibly warm and helpful. The linen and towels are very luxurious, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. We can't say enough good things about staying here, but the accolades go to the staff and their personalized service, hands down. We were upgraded to the Marcelina room with overlooks patio 3, and this room is the picture of quiet and tranquility. Leave the big window wide open and enjoy the cool breeze while relaxing in your room.

The area is so incredibly quiet that we were able to sleep with the window open - which comes with the very minor caveat that the property is in an area of some boarded up buildings and not a lot of foot traffic.

The hotel used to be a covent. It is seeped with history and calm. It is a historical site so the conversion is designed to retain and maintain its original features. You will see and feel and enjoy this. It is kept very clean. There is a very nice restaurant separately owned by at the front of the building. El Particular. We ate all our breakfasts there. Yummy. The staff for both the hotel and the restaurant are very cheerful, cordial, and helpful. The hotel is well located, 4 blocks from the center of town and the Plazas where all the action is. We went at Christmas time so even more action and lots of lights, Santa Clauses, an ice skating rink, a Christmas Tree and a Nativity Scene, and Christmas related activities. The hotel is right on the bus line but we couldn’t figure out how to use it.

The room had a scent that my husband reacted to. A cleaning agent? The incense in the room? We don’t know the source but we did remove the incense and that might have helped but didn’t totally eliminate his reaction. We would appreciate written instructions on how to successfully use the local buses since they are right outside the door.

Restored nunnery was well done with interesting preservation of original architectural features. Enjoyed the exceptional restaurant where dishes were prepared as ordered with fresh, local ingredients from 8a to 6p. Location was very good for walking to main plazas, museums and tour offerings. Public transportation, including metro, available. Hotel well staffed with daily room cleaning and friendly front desk staff happy to help with tickets, taxis, tours and information in general.

A small refrigerator in room and hot water capabilities would be helpful. Rooms are small but adequate. Wondered about noise from other guests if place had been fuller. We had a room way in the back with no other occupants around our courtyard so only noticed a few times people coming and going at night.

My husband and I traveled to Guadalajara for a short visit. We were given the name of this hotel through a close friend's recommendation. Upon checking in, we were treated with professionalism and kindness. Iker, working at the reception desk, met us immediately and explained the specifics of the hotel, answered all of our questions, and provided us with information regarding available tours in the area. He always greeted us warmly and provided assistance throughout our stay. The hotel building is amazing! Both of the mornings of our stay, we ate at the wonderful restaurant on the hotel's premises. Wonderful service, fantastic food, and our server, Fernando, could have not been more attentive and informational. All of the staff met and exceeded our expectations. Fantastic stay!

We didn’t know what to expect of this renovated convent but it was perfect. All updated and done so well. Very quiet and so close to the main city centre. The small attached restaurant and coffee shop were unique with a nice menu and staff. In fact the whole staff of the hotel were exceptionally friendly and reception provided excellent advice about where to go and what to do. Very safe and secure.

Could have set coffee out earlier for those that were seeking to have some. Additional hooks needed for towels, etc.

A beautifully restored historic building in a central, historic area with hidden gems tucked into the side streets for a bite to eat. Comfortable room, great bed and super staff that went above and beyond to be helpful. As well as restaurant staff :) It was great my dog was welcome! Stunning views from rooftop and resto attached with great food and service - gracias todos!! Super view out my room windows with cool morning air.

This place is so special, it is very welcoming, warm and safe. It is the convergence of simplicity, meticulous attention to details, and thoughtfulness that makes you feel as if every room was specifically decorated and prepared for each guest. The location is perfect, as the historic center, restaurants and many other amenities and attractions are within walking distance. I had the opportunity to hear about the history of this building and the project to become a hotel and all the hard work of the staff and owner is beautifully reflected on this place.

The property is beautiful and has so much history. Each room has a different theme and is named after one of the former sister nun’s who slept in the room when it was a convent. It’s has been perfectly maintained and gives a luxurious feel. The employees are simply amazing and ready to accommodate you! I was wonderfully pleased.

Though they don’t have a pool, there’s a pila they can fill with hot warm up for you to relax in! (like a jacuzzi)
