The Historic Bullock Hotel is a must-stay location in Deadwood, offering guests a truly unique and high-quality stay. This is a very old building but in the best way - it has been sympathetically modernised and refurbished over the years to offer a leading stay in terms of comfort, cleanliness and intrigue due to its history. The staff from check in to departure ensured we had a perfect stay, and offered us a useful heads-up regarding the snow forecast that turned out to be a lifesaver! The lunch menu was just what we needed as well after a long day on the road. Between the staff and the location, you will not be disappointed!

Nothing, this is a brilliant stay - I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here for a longer stay in the future, one night simply wasn’t long enough!

Location, history and staff was amazing. We had a bartender who was an absolute blast and who gave great travel tips and locations. Paranormal experience was fun. Very convenient to shops, restaurants, casino, etc.

For some reason, the ac stopped working in our room. called the front desk who tried to trouble shoot it, but didn't have any further insight on how to fix it. Offered us to use a floor fan that was furnished in our room but it too was broke and staff didn't know where to find another one. It truly felt like I was in a furnace. Also could use more menu options at Bully's. Food was great, just a limited selection.

Amazing, period hotel with a lot of history! The perfect location for if you're wanting to be close to everything! Matt, the owner along with all of his staff were super friendly and had a genuine interest in my excitement to be there for an event called "Black Hills Redemption" as well as checking out the area in general. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for comfort, style, location and staff friendliness. Thank you for having me! Will return again one day and when I do, I'm returning to this amazing hotel. Thank you again!

I couldn't figure out the coffee maker, but that's probably my fault!

Location was great, I didn't comment on the value of the hotel because it was overpriced due to Deadweird weekend just like all the other hotels were this weekend. The staff was great, being very patient with us as we checked in waiting for our daughters license plate for the parking lot, the parking lot is in a great spot also!

The only complaint I would have is that we noticed that the cleanliness of the room could have been a little better as far as the floor (vacuuming). There was dirt and crumbs in the corners, beside the dresser, and behind the end table (even a wrapper back there). Everything else looked clean as far as the sheets, towels, bathtub etc. so we were ok.

Great location. Great bartender.

As soon as we arrived we had problems, the front desk lady couldn't check us in and said our card wasn't working, after trying 3 different cards and me calling my bank, I realized it was them that was having problems. After 20 min or so the other front desk lady says, are you punching the number in right. Then she pushed a couple buttons and it went through. Now fast forward to check out. After we get home we start seeing chargers on our 3 different cards we used. We call the front desk and they say we broke a TV! We never touched the TV. We never even turned it on. I tell them this and they don't care. We have ended up paying $100 for a TV that we never touched. We have disputed this with our banks and got the money back. We are very upset with the bullock hotel and manager.

The history and the charm of the old hotel. Like to old pictures, the chance to play slot machines. Breakfast at the Bully was excellent. Staff is very nice. You just have to remember the hotel is over 100 years old. That is what makes it so charming. We Liked the fact it is supposed to be haunted. Our daughter (44 years old) did experience someone telling her to get up at 3:00am. She thought it was her father and sent him several text that asked if he was joking.

Not a thing.

The Bullock Hotel is a nice place to stay while taking in the sights and sounds of Deadwood. The room we stayed in was large and comfy. The location is unbeatable, with everything in historic Deadwood within walking distance. The restaurant downstairs has really good breakfast. I was worried that the noise from the casino downstairs would bother us, but that was not the case.

Limited electrical outlets to charge devices. Some of the lighting fixtures in the room were on the verge of breaking. One lamp was hanging on by a thread. Spotty WiFi.

Did not eat breakfast here. Location was perfect, just what we wanted in the center of town,

We chose to eat dinner at Bully's - the hotel restaurant. The menu was extremely limited. Everything was fried in a small kitchen that appeared to be located at the end of the bar. We saw another couple get up and leave after finding out that salads were not on the menu. It's unusual to have the server also act as bartender, cook, and dishwasher but Nick did the best he could. Our disappointment led us to make a decision to NOT have breakfast at the hotel

Love it here. This is our second visit. The hotel is perfectly located with free parking and the staff are just fabulous. Our room was a bit warm and they sorted it straight away. Very homely hotel with lots of character. We came end of March beginning of April this time and weather went from snowing to warm sunshine. Every day was different and we never knew what we would wake up to.
