I was looking for a lower cost option for staying in the Deadwood area. I was not concerned about location so choose an option of staying off the "main" strip. Having the restaurant close was a bonus, the food was delicious, and the staff were very pleasant. The room was standard size, bathroom was a little small but was in no way a deal breaker and the room itself was fantastic. Bed was super comfortable, and I got much needed rest I was looking for on my weekend getaway!
Bathrooms were a little small. It wasn't an issue with me, but I could see people traveling with kids finding the lack of room problematic if staying for multiple days.

We traveled the week before Memorial Day. Our first vacation away from our state since we retired AND our first vacation with our Rescue Dog. He was very comfortable there and didn't fuss or any sounds/bark. It was so pleasant and quiet that there was no need to feel unsafe. The room was very comfortable with a mid-century vibe, large bathroom area, mini fridge, TV, dresser space, etc. There was also a nice all wood table & 2 chairs so we could have our meals (take-out from the attached restaurant) in the comfort of our room. 2 garden chairs right outside the door if we wanted to sit outside. Very quiet & private,. Walking distance to downtown historic Main Street Deadwood, across the street from Mickelson Trailhead and along a main drag that could take us in different directions on our day trips. Hotel management was exceptional & helpful. Couldn't be happier. Would recommend highly to anyone looking for a 1 night stopover or a 3 night stay like we did. It will be the first place we stay again if we travel to the area in the future.
Our dog didn't care too much for the "pet area" which was a overgrown and could use some reseeding. Other dogs that stayed in the hotel didn't seem to have an issue with the area so we equate this to just our dog feeling too distracted. He did not have any privacy. BUT we solved that with a little walk each time he needed to go out. No problem.

What I did not like was that BOOKING.COM had cancelled my reservation after I had made a change. I do not think I will be using BOOKINGS.COM again. I was very lucky though that there was a space for me even though BOOKINGS.COM had cancelled my reservation. The Manager was wonderful in getting me space as I had just driven 1,000 miles for a memorial service. CUDOS to the manager, the staff - I will book directly through any hotel from now on.

The hotel is located a little away from the city center. There is a cafe nearby where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. In 10 minutes there is a store "Family Dollar" where you can buy everything you need. It was quiet at night, the room is large, there is a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Free coffee is available in the lobby. Excellent staff.
I had to wait a very long time for the water in the shower to heat up.

I can’t remember the last time our check in was so welcoming and fun our manager Connie was wonderful. The value for dollar was exceptional. Room may have been old style but bed very comfortable, shower power great, room very clean and easy to get to town by foot or trolley. Best value and welcome we’ve had in a long time and we are travelers. Also they have a good diner style restaurant next door with great service. Thankyou!

Connie was a gem! Loved her stories about Parkston. Also, pretty young gal that wked the breakfast shift, so pleasant and was BUSY but never rattled. Everyone was friendly, but they stood out. An on property diner... with a small town feel XOXO loved it. Rooms were clean. Thank u for that! It is so important for repeat business. AC worked awesome!!
Im hard-pressed to think of anything.

Super clean bathroom. How towels, soap and shampoo are arranged. Perfect for me. Plenty of storage too. And coffee. Dryer and washer on premises. Short walk to downtown. Knowledgeable friendly welcoming staff. Come to deadwood for Vegas atmosphere and excellent museums. Hotel restaurant good home cooking!
Common to most motels, ac a bit noisy but. It’s ok to keep room cool.

This is a great and economical place to stay. The one room in the corner was so nice and quiet I slept like a baby. The rooms can be on the smaller side, but I don’t come to stay in the room my entire stay. It works great did me, clean, the staff is friendly and attentive to any needs or concerns. Definitely recommend. And the restaurant is awesome to have right there too . Good food, friendly staff.

An old school hotel that has been decently maintained by the current owner/staff. Reasonable sound proofing to avoid the motorcycle/car traffic on what is the main route to Lead, SD. While we did not go to the restaurant, it appeared to be an orderly, clean local place that served decently priced fare. Would recommend for those that are coming to the area for DUNE work in Lead, SD for brief or week long stays.
Our room was in a Wi-Fi dead spot, so had to sit in car in front of other rooms to access internet. Also, the pool appears to have been closed since COVID at the time of the visit.

We loved our stay at Deadwood Miners Hotel - the staff were lovely and really helpful, the location was great and an easy walk down to the historic old town and the rooms were excellent and comfortable. We'd love to stay here again and there's an added bonus with the attached diner, the staff and food there were also excellent!!
