Wonderful place with large , clean rooms. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Room was quite with many amenities such as fridge, coffee pot, microwave, hot and cold included breakfast was great. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The location is good and 3 outside hot-tubs were an added plus. I highly recommend this hotel!

Proximity to Deadwood. I believe there are new owners very nice people. The shuttle that runs to Deadwood from the hotel needs to accommodate more people and stop more than one place for drop off and pick ups. The old shuttle was a small bus that said black stone on it and would stop at different locations on Main Street. Breakfast included I would recommend a different variety each day. When we were there it was the same for each day. Don’t get me wrong the breakfast is very much appreciated Beds were comfortable but need larger pillows

We liked getting in the hot tub every night after pedal biking on the Mikelson trail. The beds are very comfortable and we liked our spacious room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you for having your breakfast hours till 10 am.

There were several mornings when the food was out and we either had to wait and one morning nothing was ever brought out. They were out of waffle mix, potatoes, eggs and sausage. It would have been a great breakfast......Also the coffee maker in the room had its tray missing so we couldn't make coffee in the room. But coffee is always available in the breakfast room.

I love staying in Lead instead of Deadwood. We attend the events in Deadwood but love to come back to the Blackstone to relax. We love the Hanger to just chill. We are able to shop, eat, and drink at the local establishments. And the best of all is the shuttle and their driver. He truly takes care of his patrons, he's dependable, friendly and we look to see his familiar face . The rooms are not fancy, but the beds are comfy. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well stocked.

For the first time , the breakfast seemed to be not up to par. And it wasn't changed up the next day. The trays were not full like they usually were. But I am going to give Blackstone the benefit of the doubt.... It was extremely busy and there were many guests.

The room was very clean, with fresh sheets and comfortable bed. All the staff were very friendly, easily available and helpful. They had a good breakfast with a variety of options including scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns.

There wasn't anything we didn't like about the hotel. While we were there in Lead it was a little difficult to find a restaurant or food options after 7pm. It would be great if the hotel had a little restaurant, but we realize that implies a lot more overhead and work that might not be a high enough demand to justify such an investment.

Room is large, clean and quiet. Beds and bedding are A1 quite comfortable. Soft pillows, thick down quilt bedding. Great location.

Desk clerk initially gave us the wrong key and the key was to an occupied room....unpleasant surprise for both us and the other occupying guest. Suggest additional staff training and vigilance might be in order. Breakfast was not worth the trouble and suggest better left ignored.

This is a large old ski lodge, basically. Our room was so spacious! On our 11 day road trip this room was by far the most comfortable to stay in. Two queen beds with the most amazing bedding ( I want to buy the same bedding I loved it so much), a pull out sofa bed, side chair, desk and the biggest bedside table I’ve ever seen. The bathroom is separate with long large vanity sink on one side and toilet and tub behind closed door. Could have fit a party in the huge tub. Hot water with good pressure in shower and a working exhaust fan in toilet/tub room. The room itself was humongous, comfortable and clean. I was so impressed.

Nothing we didn’t like

The hotel was very clean and neat. The Staff was courteous and fairly knowledgeable about local restaurants. The breakfast was ready early and was quite good. The hotel offers a shuttle service on the weekends and that was fantastic! Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed the facilities. I also appreciated the fact the hotel staff let us park our motorcycles near the door on the flatter part of the parking lot. The upper parking lot is paved but it's quite steep and a bit challenging to park a motorcycle on.

My booking.com reservation wasn't in the system upon arrival. I had booked two rooms with two queen beds for four adult men. When we arrived, they only had 1 room with 2 beds under my name. They were able to accommodate us but it was quite an inconvenience and took well over 30 minutes to resolve. Kudos to the staff for working it out but it never should have gotten to that point imho.

It's perfect for a couple friends that want to spend the day doing stuff then come back to just hang out. It had everything we needed for being there. The staff were amazing.

The central air lol. I be a rancher that lives in a home heated by a wood stove so it was quite warm. We are all used to our houses being only like 65 degrees.

Staff was very accommodating and polite.

Toilet flapper was torn. Every time we had to flush we would take the top off the toilet and attach the torn flapper so it wouldn’t run constantly and waste water.
