Central, but a bugga to find in the car with satnav! Lovely breakfast selection, continental and full English. Comfy room, nice clean shower room. Friendly helpful staff. Parking available on site, but an extra £5er.

Very nice shower room/toilet, but NO SHELVES! Nowhere to put a toilet bag near the sink; nowhere in shower cubicle to put anything except on the floor! This isn't the only accommodation that doesn't believe in shelf room in bathrooms, is it a THING? Good job it was only a one-night stay! It's little things like having shelves in a bathroom that make the difference, - a place to park your razor, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, aftershave, and keep your toilet bag off the floor 😡. Oh, and the head-banging music at breakfast 😱 I know we need waking up, but not to that! Glad to say it didn't last too long...

We had the suite it was lovely; bed is super comfortable and extra towels were provided as it was hot, it was a nice touch. The fridge was super cold. We have an assistant dog, and the hotel wasn’t familiar with the rules but they googled and familiarised themself and made sure ourself and our working dog were very happy. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The manager is always on hand to make sure everyone is happy and is great at front of house.

We stayed on the hottest days of the year and it was very hot. A fan was provided but Aircon would have been amazing. Also no Netflix that would have been a bonus but that is something for this new hotel to work towards.

Nice room .Was able to get extra tea coffee and sugar whenever requested. The cooked breakfast was good on the day we had it.Great location for the centre of Rotherham. The bedroom was quite cosy.Manager was pleasant and tried very hard to attend to guests' wishes.

Sometimes communication. We expected a cooked breakfast on the 1st morning, but other guests had been told not to expect one. We ended up dining earlier on the 1st night than told on checking in as the kitchen was closing. However, the food was good. Our bathroom didn't have a heat source, so it was a bit chilly.

Hotel and room were both decorated beautifully. Staff were lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Very clean hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. The bed was unbelievably comfy and room was so quiet and peaceful with no outside noise. Drinks at the bar weren’t overpriced like many hotels seem to be. The cooked breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice of cereal/fruit/pastries to also choose from. We didn’t eat lunch or dinner here as we weren’t hungry until later but it smelt amazing! Will definitely be staying here again 😊

The hotel is under new management and the owners are working hard to create a good experience. Room was perfect for our one night stay travelling north and exceeded our expectations and very good value for the price. Excellent cooked breakfast at a very reasonable price (included for us), with cereal, toast and some fruit also on offer. Coffee was instant, but we drank tea which had many choices. Rooms very recently refurbished, very clean and very quiet. My wife is susceptible to air quality in the rooms (if any dampness for example) but this was very good. Our family room had the single bed well separated from the double which was good. Off road private car park is £5.

In our room there's a fan that runs all the time- which keeps the air nice and fresh- not noisy and we didn't notice it but if you are very suscepitble to low level noise you might.

Geat location, on site parking and 2 minute walk to Wetherspoons. We were checked in by a friendly staff member who took us to our room which was lovely. The hotel has been modernised beautifully but also retains some of the original stone work, it looked relatively new and spotlessly clean. We had complementary toiletries as well as tea and coffee making facilities and a tv. The room was spacious, suitable for 3 with an extra single bed. The bed was very comfy and we had plenty of storage. Good size shower cubicle, powerfull and hot! We also had a door leading to a shared outside courtyard area with tables, chairs, and umbrella. The courtyard had access to the restaurant area and carpark which saved going all through the hotel after our night out. Breakfast was really good too, self-serve cereal, fruit and drinks plus a lovely full English 😋

One critique in the room was the main light fitting was very low hanging, ok for me 5' 2" but hubby is 6'4" and had to keep dodging it but apart from that it's spot on. The outside areas could have done with a little bit of TLC... a little tidy up and some weed killer, and it would be perfect 👌

The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming, the bed was very comfortable. The food was nice and there was a good atmosphere with the music as well in the restaurant with a good selection on the bar.

The smell of cigarettes when leaving the room from the fire escape as well as the door banging in the night and early hours and talking outside the room wasn't good. We stayed in the executive suit room 7 which was excellent but let down massively by the smokers, the area for smokers is an easy fix that definitely needs to happen.

The hotel is very good, very medieval castle like in the best way. It has LEDS and modern music and yet it has all the beauty of a traditional castle or a traditional house in Yorkshire. Absolutely lovely. Staff are exceptional - Yawar is very nice. He went above and beyond.

Some of the decor in the room itself didn't match the vibe eg. The illuminated picture that they also weirdly have in mental hospitals. Other than that was cute.

Lovely staff. Room clean with comfortable bed. Bottled water in the room. Private car park for guests. Large shower in the bathroom with plenty of hot water.

The only mirror was in the bathroom. Plenty of wall space for one or more in the bedroom, not good for hair drying. No toilet roll holder or toilet brush. No lampshade on the ceiling light just bare bulb. Made the room feel not quite finished.

I booked this hotel as a Bride to be to get ready with my bridesmaids the night before and the day of the wedding. It was amazing. The staff brought in extra mirrors and let us rearrange the room accordingly. With myself, 5 bridesmaids , makeup artist, hair stylist and photographer the room was big enough to accommodate. Also i have some amazing photos of us ready in the premises i will post to the hotel page. Stunning . We did late check out which was a god send. From check in to check absolute perfection 👌
